MIN - Laquon Treadwell a physical receiver
Source: Vikings.com - Lindsey Young
Minnesota Vikings WR Laquon Treadwell adds a physicality dimension and the ability to grab jump balls, according to Vikings general manager Rick Spielman. 'As we sat there and talked with the coaches, the biggest thing is the catching radius, the ability to catch in traffic, to go up and get jump balls and the physicality of him as a receiver, getting in and out of his cuts,' Spielman said. 'You can just see he generates a lot of power when he's getting off the line of scrimmage. I could put a highlight reel together, and I know
Adrian Peterson's going to be very excited how this guy plays the game and blocks at the edge, but he's a receiver that just plays with a chip on his shoulder in all phases of the game.'
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Treadwell reminds us of DeAndre Hopkins (Texans) because of his body control, great concentration and ability to work the sidelines. He'll make a great target for QB Teddy Bridgewater not only in 2016 but also going forward. Treadwell and Bridgewater will be able to grow together for years to come.

NYJ - Wanted Laremy Tunsil
Source: NJ.com - Darryl Slater
Miami Dolphins OT Laremy Tunsil was being pursued by the New York Jets before the Dolphins selected him in the NFL draft.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
He could have gone off the board much earlier, but a video of Tunsil ripping a bong load with a gas mask on caused his stock to take a tumble. He may be a "MacGyver Smoker" but it wasn't great for the start of his professional career. Tunsil went to the Miami Dolphins with the 13th-overall pick. Jets general manager Mike Maccagnan said New York tried to move up to take Tunsil.

NYJ - New York could keep four quarterbacks
Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Rich Cimini
New York Jets QBs
Geno Smith, Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg, and possibly free-agent QB
Ryan Fitzpatrick (Jets) could all be on New York's roster when the 2016 regular season commences. General manager Mike Maccagnan said if it's in the best interest of the team then they will keep four quarterbacks. 'It's been done before,' Maccagnan said. 'To me, it's a position where you have to take some time to really invest, grow and develop players.'
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The Jets could have Fitzpatrick compete with Geno Smith for the starting job. They could then see if Petty could hold off Hackenberg for the third-string/developmental job. The loser of that battle could wind up on the team's practice squad. The talks with Fitzpatrick are at a standstill right now, but things could change quickly at any time.

NYJ - General manager excited for QB Geno Smith
Source: NJ.com - Dan Duggan
New York Jets QB
Geno Smith could start for the Jets in 2016 if free-agent QB
Ryan Fitzpatrick (Jets) is not re-signed. That prospect has general manager Mike Maccagnan excited. 'Right now, Geno has been a starter for us, and actually played quite well prior to getting hurt last year, and was doing a good job in the offseason,' Maccagnan said. 'So we're kind of excited to see what Geno can do, coming back. And we feel good about that.'
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Is Maccagnan serious here? Smith gets to work under noted quarterback whisperer Chan Gailey for another season, so there may be a little bit of hope for him yet. However, Smith needs to prove that he can consistently make good decisions as a passer under pressure. A broken jaw last year (caused by a former teammate) knocked Smith out of the lineup where Ryan Fitzpatrick was able to take over and thrive as the starter.

GB - WR Davante Adams may not make team
Source: Milwaukee Journal Sentinel - Tom Silverstein
Green Bay Packers WR
Davante Adams' roster spot is not a lock for the 2016 season, in the opinion of Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. WRs
Jared Abbrederis,
Ty Montgomery,
Jeff Janis and Trevor Davis are also not guaranteed roster spots.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
It's certainly possible as Adams is not a lock for the final roster. Without Jordy Nelson last year, the opportunity was there for Adams to do more and he failed miserably. He ended the season as the 83rd ranked WR in standard scoring fantasy leagues with 50 catches, 483 yards and only one touchdown. Adams will have to prove himself this year as the Packers have a talented group of WRs behind Nelson and Randall Cobb.

OAK - TE Clive Walford injured in accident
Source: FOXSports.com - Mike Garafolo and Peter Schrager
Oakland Raiders TE
Clive Walford (knee) suffered a knee injury earlier this offseason in an all-terrain vehicle accident, according to sources. He is expected back for training camp, and one source said the injury may not be as bad as originally thought. It's unclear what his injury was, but indications are that he's weeks removed from surgery.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Ouch. Fantasy owners need to keep an eye on his recovery. Walford is one of our favorite young TEs in the league and could easily become a favorite target for QB Derek Carr.

PIT - Decline option on OLB Jarvis Jones
Source: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler
The Pittsburgh Steelers declined the 2017 fifth-year option on LB Jarvis Jones Monday, May 2.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Potential is a dirty, filthy word as three-time Super Bowl champion Mark Schlereth (ESPN) always says. Jones had incredible potential as the 17th-overall pick in the 2013 NFL draft, but with only five career sacks he's been a huge disappointment. It's no surprise the team wouldn't add the option.

MIN - Moritz Boehringer agrees to deal
Source: Vikings.com
The Minnesota Vikings signed WR Moritz Boehringer to a contract Monday, May 2. The sixth-round pick is the first selection from the 2016 NFL draft to sign a deal.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Boehringer played for the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns of the German Football League. In 2015, Boehringer had 59 receptions for 1,232 yards and 13 touchdowns in 16 games played but it was his pro day that really got Draft Twitter abuzz. He reminds many in the scouting community of Jeff Janis (Packers) because of his size (6'4" 225 pounds), speed (4.43 40-yard dash) combination.
