NFL Player News - Week 6

    Courtesy of Footballguys.com

KC - Torn ACL for RB Jamaal Charles

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Kansas City Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles' (knee) MRI confirmed a torn anterior cruciate ligament, according to a source. Charles will likely miss the rest of the season.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This was feared, and now the Chiefs will move forward without Charles. Charcandrick West and Knile Davis will likely split time in a RBBC without Charles on the field. We feel that Davis is the more talented back, but West is the first back up as Davis seems to be in the doghouse this year. The team will need both in order to have a halfway decent rushing attack. This is a huge kick in the midsection for the Chiefs offense.

IND - QB Andrew Luck's status unknown

    Source: ESPN.com - Mike Wells

Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck (shoulder) is 'day-to-day,' and head coach Chuck Pagano will not say whether Luck will return in Week 6 to face the New England Patriots after practicing in full Monday, Oct. 12. Luck is 0-4 in his career against the Patriots and has lost by an average of 29 points.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

With the release of backup QB Josh Johnson, we think Luck should be able to go on Sunday. QB Matt Hasselbeck would start his third straight game if Luck can't go.

BAL - RB Justin Forsett injury not serious

    Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley

Baltimore Ravens RB Justin Forsett (ankle) avoided a high-ankle sprain in a Week 5 loss to the Cleveland Browns.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Good news for the Ravens here. Head coach John Harbaugh said Forsett could still play this week against the 49ers. The 49ers rank 21st in the league in rushing yards allowed after Week 5. They have allowed 540 rushing yards so far this season.

DAL - QB Brandon Weeden expected to keep job

Source: SiriusXM NFL Radio - Pat Kirwan

Dallas Cowboys QB Brandon Weeden is expected to keep his starting quarterback job unless there is a change in thinking before the Week 7 game.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Let's pump the brakes on this. The move to Matt Cassel is a lateral one, and it is unlikely to cure what's wrong with the offense. The Cowboys have a bye this week, so we'll have to watch this situation in practice next week.

JAX - QB Blake Bortles' throwing arm hurt

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Updating previous reports, Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles' (shoulder) sprained his throwing shoulder Sunday, Oct. 11, against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Stay tuned here if you're a QB streamer. It is uncertain if Bortles will be able to play in Week 6 versus the Houston Texans.

NYG - Odell Bechkam may practice

    Source: ESPN.com - Dan Graziano

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. (hamstring) is dealing with a hamstring injury, but the team hopes he will be able to practice on at least a limited basis this week, according to head coach Tom Coughlin.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Beckham has had plenty of hamstring problems in the past. The team will monitor him closely. Watch for him to practice fully later in the week.

SEA - RB Marshawn Lynch should play

    Source: Seahawks.com - John Boyle

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch (hamstring) should be able to play in Week 6 against the Carolina Panthers if he doesn't suffer any setbacks this week, according to head coach Pete Carroll.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hopefully you started Thomas Rawls while you could. With Lynch back, we'll have him ranked as a low-end RB1/high-end RB2 in Week 6 at home against the Panthers.

NO - Sean Payton not going anywhere

    Source: ESPN.com - Mike Triplett

New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton said he doesn't have any interest in leaving the Saints after a report surfaced Sunday, Oct. 11, that multiple teams, including the Miami Dolphins, are expected to ask about his availability at the end of this year. 'I'll say what I've said before: This is where I see myself. And I've said that now for however many years,' said Payton, who is in his 10th year as coach of the Saints with two years left on his contract.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Saints are in a massive hole, and there will be changes. We think DC Rob Ryan will be on the way out while Payton gets a little more time. Things change quickly in the NFL, but we don't see Payton leaving New Orleans just yet.

PIT - QB Ben Roethlisberger will wear brace

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (knee) is expected to wear a knee brace for the first time in his NFL career when he returns from his medial collateral ligament injury and bone bruise. However, he is resistant to the idea.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Of course he's resistant to the idea. Roethlisberger has proven his toughness time and time again. They'll likely get him into the brace for a bit, but he'll shed it quickly.

ATL - WR Leonard Hankerson listed as limited

    Source: AtlantaFalcons.com

Atlanta Falcons WR Leonard Hankerson (ribs) was limited during practice Monday, Oct. 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hankerson is a little banged up, but he should be good to go for Thursday night's game against the Saints.

ATL - WR Julio Jones does not practice

    Source: ESPN.com - Vaughn McClure

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (hamstring, toe) did not participate in practice Monday, Oct. 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

No surprise here. Jones is banged up and will likely be limited all week. The Falcons travel to New Orleans to play the Saints on Thursday Night Football in Week 6.

PIT - QB Ben Roethlisberger ready for Week 6?

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (knee) wants to play in the Week 6 game against the Arizona Cardinals.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Don't get too excited just yet. The Steelers have not ruled out the possibility of Roethlisberger playing but consider it a longshot.

DET - RB Joique Bell will return to practice

    Source: Mlive.com - Kyle Meinke

Detroit Lions RB Joique Bell (ankle) said he will participate in practice this week and hopes to be able to play in the Week 6 game against the Chicago Bears.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Lions have a ton of problems on both sides of the ball, and getting Bell back is unlikely to help. Rookie Ameer Abdullah needs to hang onto the rock and do more with his limited touches. Bell should be eased back into the lineup if he does end up playing against the Bears. He's not a fantasy factor.

BUF - WR Sammy Watkins may play in Week 6

    Source: BuffaloBills.com - Chris Brown

Buffalo Bills WR Sammy Watkins (calf) may be able to play in the Week 6 game against the Cincinnati Bengals because he participated in workouts before the team's Week 5 game.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Getting Watkins back would be great for the Bills offense. Teams play the Bills differently when Watkins is not on the field. He attracts a lot of defensive attention, and this helps open up things for guys like TE Charles Clay and WRs Percy Harvin and Robert Woods. Watch his practice status during the week.

TEN - RB David Cobb could return next week

Source: The Tennessean - John Glennon

Tennessee Titans RB David Cobb (calf) said the plan is for him to return to practice next week.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We love the rookie's upside as a potential starter. Cobb is a powerful runner who wastes little motion with the ball in his hands. He can grind down an opponent as the game goes on, and Cobb gets stronger with more carries. He is eligible to play against the New Orleans Saints in Week 9 as he is currently on the short-term Reserve/Injured list.

DAL - WR Dez Bryant needs to practice

Source: The Dallas Morning News - Jon Machota

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (foot) will have to participate in practice before he is ready to play in a game, according to head coach Jason Garrett.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Stay tuned here. Bryant is getting closer to returning, but don't get too excited just yet. Garrett said Bryant is making progress and has been able to do some things on the field.

CHI - RB Jeremy Langford expected to be No. 2 RB

    Source: ESPNChicago.com - Jeff Dickerson

Chicago Bears RB Jeremy Langford is expected to take over as the No. 2 running back with RB Jacquizz Rodgers (ankle) out for the season.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We liked Langford at Michigan State. He's an efficient runner who is determined between the tackles. Langford isn't super fast, but he doesn't waste a lot of motion running the rock. Dynasty owners should be all over him, and Forte owners with deep benches should already have him handcuffed.

MIN - WR Mike Wallace's status uncertain

Source: St. Paul Pioneer Press - Chris Tomasson

Minnesota Vikings WR Mike Wallace (undisclosed) did not participate in practice Monday, Oct. 12, because of an undisclosed reason.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Head coach Mike Zimmer is not sure if Wallace will be able to play in the Week 6 game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

CLE - QB Josh McCown has ankle sprain

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Updating a previous report, Cleveland Browns QB Josh McCown (ankle) suffered an ankle sprain in a Week 5 win against the Baltimore Ravens.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

He is hopeful he'll be able to play in Week 6 against the Denver Broncos. You don't want to be gimpy when playing a team that leads the NFL in sacks. It could be a tough day for the Browns on Sunday.

ARI - OLB Dwight Freeney joins Arizona

Source: NFL Network - Rand Getlin

Free-agent LB Dwight Freeney (Chargers) signed a one-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals Monday, Oct. 12, according to a source. Financial terms were not disclosed.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Cardinals' pass rush needs a shot in the arm, and the veteran Freeney could provide that as a part-time player. Their defense ranks 23rd in the league with only eight sacks in 2015.

NYG - WR Rueben Randle has hamstring injury

    Source: ESPN.com - Dan Graziano

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (hamstring) suffered a hamstring injury in Week 5, but the team hopes he will be able to practice on at least a limited basis this week, according to head coach Tom Coughlin.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Both Randle and Odell Beckham Jr. went down for a bit with hamstring injuries on Sunday night. Watch for both to practice later in the week.

Kniles Davis is a solid talent at RB, much better than Ben Tate and Pierre Thomas.

    Nothing definitive.

Bears coach John Fox was predictably vague when asked about Alshon Jeffery's (hamstring) status for Week 6.

"Our medical people are doing everything in their power, as well, to get him back," Fox said. "We'll see what this week brings." It is possible Jeffery suffered a setback in practice last week. He is extremely questionable for Detroit. Oct 13 - 12:27 PM

    Wednesday Update

BUF - QB Tyrod Taylor could miss games

Source: CBSSports.com - Jason La Canfora

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor (knee) could miss multiple games with a medial collateral ligament sprain he suffered in Week 5 against the Tennessee Titans.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bad news for the Bills here. Taylor had been sparking the offense, and now he may be sidelined for the near future. QB EJ Manuel will start in Week 6 if Taylor is ruled out. With Manuel under center, the Bills offense should struggle.

DAL - QB Matt Cassel could start Week 7

    Source: FOX16.com - Chase Shannon

Dallas Cowboys QB Matt Cassel could start over QB Brandon Weeden in Week 7 against the New York Giants, according to executive vice president Stephen Jones.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

That seems to be the buzz building around the Cowboys right now. We'll know more about how this is looking as we see reports from practice. Cassell's clearly an experienced player and could provide a spark. At least that's the hope.

ATL - WR Julio Jones misses practice

    Source: AtlantaFalcons.com

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (toe, hamstring) did not participate in practice Tuesday, Oct. 13.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jones is still expected to play Thursday, Oct. 15, according to head coach Dan Quinn.

PIT - QB Ben Roethlisberger hopes to practice

Source: Pittsburgh Post-Gazette - Ray Fittipaldo

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (knee) said he hopes to participate in some 7-on-7 drills during practice this week but does not want to take repetitions from QB Michael Vick.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

You knew Roethlisberger was going to push himself as much as possible to get back in a hurry. Roethlisberger said his rehab is going well but is still working on moving laterally. His status for Week 6 is up in the air, but he's considered a longshot to play.

CIN - RB Jeremy Hill still the starter

Source: The Cincinnati Enquirer - Paul Dehner Jr.

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill is still the starting running back, according to offensive coordinator Hue Jackson. 'Jeremy hasn't had the success that he had a year ago, and I think that's what everybody's looking for,' Jackson said of his back who averaged 5.1 yards per carry last year. 'But Jeremy's playing and playing well. Jeremy's still our starting tailback. Everybody has seen over the last couple games that (Giovani Bernard) has got more carries, more opportunities than Jeremy. Well, eventually that's going to flip.'

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hill is what we call a "Costco" back because his production comes in bulk. Bernard is the more consistent fantasy asset because his production is not game-script dependent. Most every week, we'll have both as RBs, but Hill is more towards the flex end of that ranking.

BAL - WR Steve Smith could go in Week 6

    Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley

Baltimore Ravens WR Steve Smith (back) could return in Week 6 against the San Francisco 49ers. Head coach John Harbaugh said he's hopeful that Smith plays this week.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Keep an eye on this situation as the week of practice goes on. The Ravens could certainly use Smith back on the field, and fantasy owners would like to see the tough veteran return to their lineups.

BAL - TE Crockett Gillmore could return

    Source: WNST.net - Luke Jones

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (calf) moved around well in pre-game workouts in Week 5, and he could return for Week 6 against the San Francisco 49ers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Do not forget about the impact Gillmore had early on for this team. He quickly earned the trust of QB Joe Flacco, and the second-year pro is tough to bring down with the ball in his hands. If he plays, we like Gillmore as a TE2 in season-long leagues and he's a sneaky play in GPPs for DFS players.

DEN - Denver RBs ready for breakout?

    Source: USA TODAY Fantasy Sports

Denver Broncos RBs C.J. Anderson and Ronnie Hillman are facing the worst defense against running backs so far this year in the Cleveland Browns. The Browns yield 147 yards on the ground to the position -- 5.3 yards per carry.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

A breakout game? More like we hope they're able to put up flex-worthy numbers this week. Anderson is a low-end RB2 against the Browns, and Hillman is a high-end RB3/flex play. The Broncos have struggled to run the football, and their offensive line play has been among the worst in the league. If they can't run the ball against a bad Browns defense, they're unlikely to for the rest of the year.

OAK - Oakland offense more efficient

    Source: ESPN.com - Bill Williamson
Oakland Raiders QB Derek Carr and the rest of the Raiders' offense have put Oakland on pace for 67 punts in 2015. The Raiders punted 109 times last season.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Raiders are moving in the right direction. They have a good young quarterback in Derek Carr, and wide receiver Amari Cooper looks like a superstar in the making.

MIN - Big game ahead for QB Teddy Bridgewater?

    Source: USA TODAY Fantasy Sports

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater has a favorable matchup against a Kansas City Chiefs defense that has allowed 13 touchdowns and intercepted just two passes this season.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bridgewater has not scored many fantasy points this year. In fact, he ranks 31st in the league in that category...just ahead of Ryan Mallett. The Vikings offense is all about RB Adrian Peterson, and they'll only go to Bridgewater and the passing game if they need to play catch-up football.

CAR - RB Jonathan Stewart has tough test

    Source: USA TODAY Fantasy Sports

Carolina Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart is facing a Seattle Seahawks defense that has held opposing running backs to zero touchdowns and just 75 rushing yards per game through the first five games of the season.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Stewart played only 29 snaps against the Buccaneers in Week 4 as he was slightly banged up with a leg injury. The Panthers had a bye in Week 5, so hopefully Stewart is healthier and ready for this big challenge. We're not counting on him more than a RB3/flex play against the Seahawks in Seattle.

NO - No practice for WR Marques Colston

    Source: NFL

New Orleans Saints WR Marques Colston (shoulder) did not participate in practice Tuesday, Oct. 13.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Colston is not a fantasy factor anymore. We're not looking to him as anything more than a "what the heck" flex IF he plays against the Falcons on Thursday night.

ATL - WR Leonard Hankerson limited

    Source: AtlantaFalcons.com

Atlanta Falcons WR Leonard Hankerson (ribs) was limited in practice Tuesday, Oct. 13.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We might see Julio Jones miss the Thursday game against the Saints. It's still up in the air, but if he doesn't play then Hankerson would be asked to play an even larger role.

ATL - RB Devonta Freeman limited Tuesday

    Source: AtlantaFalcons.com

Atlanta Falcons RB Devonta Freeman (toe) was limited in practice Tuesday, Oct. 13.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Freeman is just getting some rest on a short week. He's the hottest RB in fantasy football, and you're going to ride that hot hand in Week 6 against the Saints on Thursday night.

PIT - WR Martavis Bryant activated

    Source: Steelers.com

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Martavis Bryant was activated to the 53-man roster Tuesday, Oct. 13. S Ross Ventrone was subsequently released.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bryant should be back for the Steelers this week. At home against a tough Cardinals defense in Week 6, the team could sure use him. His big-play and ball-tracking ability should come in handy with Michael Vick likely starting at QB again.

BUF - QB Josh Johnson signs with Bills

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Free-agent QB Josh Johnson (Colts) was signed to the Buffalo Bills' 53-man roster Tuesday, Oct. 13.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Tyrod Taylor has a MCL injury, and he could miss a few weeks. The Bills are likely to move forward with E.J. Manuel as their starter. Johnson will serve as the primary backup.

Agree, this is just a lateral move. Should make people appreciate Romo more, he has taken a lot of unnecessary slack through the years.

IND - QB Andrew Luck limited Wednesday

Source: NFL Network - Albert Breer

Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck (shoulder) was limited in practice Wednesday, Oct. 14, but he's headed in the right direction, according to head coach Chuck Pagano.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's looking like Luck is going to play in Week 6. The Colts need him in a bad way as they take on the New England Patriots on Sunday Night Football.

BAL - RB Lorenzo Taliaferro goes to IR

    Source: BaltimoreRavens.com

Baltimore Ravens RB Lorenzo Taliaferro (foot) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Wednesday, Oct. 14. Free-agent RB Raheem Mostert (Dolphins) was subsequently claimed.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

With Taliaferro done for the year, the team will turn to Buck Allen as the primary backup behind Justin Forsett. The Ravens were using Taliaferro as a red-zone back, so without him that might lead to more high-value touches for Forsett.

BAL - RB Justin Forsett out Wednesday

Source: The Baltimore Sun - Jeff Zrebiec

Baltimore Ravens RB Justin Forsett (ankle) is out of practice Wednesday, Oct. 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The ankle injury is considered minor, so Forsett could just be getting a day of rest here.

NYG - WR Odell Beckham Jr. day to day

Source: The Star-Ledger - Jordan Raanan

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. (hamstring) has some swelling in the hamstring area, but he is day to day.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Beckham had an MRI that didn't reveal any tears. That's good news for the Giants, but his history of hamstring injuries is troubling. Make sure to check to see if he practices fully on Friday.

BAL - TE Crockett Gillmore listed as limited

    Source: BaltimoreRavens.com

Updating a previous report, Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (calf) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gillmore should be back on the field this week. That will help the Ravens passing game. Gillmore is a TE2 for fantasy owners.

OAK - DE Justin Tuck could miss season

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Oakland Raiders DE Justin Tuck (pectoral) may have torn his pectoral in a Week 5 loss to the Denver Broncos, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Tuck is undergoing tests and could miss the rest of the season. He will at least miss several games.

WAS - RB Matt Jones takes part in some drills

    Source: Redskins.com

Washington Redskins RB Matt Jones (toe) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jones is a talented rookie, but he needs to get healthy and hang onto the rock. Against a tough Jets defense, Jones is only a "what the heck" flex.

Washington Redskins WR DeSean Jackson (hamstring) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 14.

Jackson is getting closer to a return. Check back to see if he can practice on Friday.

GB - WR Davante Adams, WR James Jones limited

    Source: ESPN.com - Rob Demovsky

Green Bay Packers WRs Davante Adams (ankle) and James Jones (hamstring) were both limited in practice Wednesday, Oct. 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It was Adams' first practice since suffering his left ankle injury Sept. 28. QB Aaron Rodgers called Adams the deep threat the offense has been missing, and Rogers didn't throw one pass more than 30 yards downfield in Week 5.

WAS - TE Jordan Reed misses practice

    Source: CSN Mid-Atlantic - Tarik El-Bashir

Washington Redskins TE Jordan Reed (concussion, knee, ankle) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 14, because he still has not been cleared to practice.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Reed was able to attend practice and meetings, which was something he was not able to do last week.

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) was limited in practice Wednesday, Oct. 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

No word on whether or not Jeffery is going to play in Week 6 against the Lions. It's a good sign he's limited on Wednesday, but we'll feel better about him starting if he fully practices on Friday.

DEN - WR Demaryius Thomas doesn't practice

Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot

Denver Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas (neck) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Thomas was banged up, but he played in the Raiders game last week. He's getting some rest on Wednesday, but we feel good about him playing against the Browns in Week 6.

NO - WR Marques Colston listed as doubtful
Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
New Orleans Saints WR Marques Colston (shoulder) is listed as doubtful for the Week 6 game against the Atlanta Falcons Thursday, Oct. 15.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Let's all remember a time when Colston was at the top of his game. He's just not the same player, and this injury doesn't help. Colston is dealing with a slight shoulder separation, and the injury is not expected to be a long-term issue.

DEN - No practice for TE Owen Daniels

Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot

Denver Broncos TE Owen Daniels (non-injury) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The seasoned veteran is just getting some rest here. He failed to record a catch last week for the first time since 2006. We imagine the Broncos will work to get the ball to Daniels this week against the Browns.

DET - RB Joique Bell practices in full

    Source: DetroitLions.com

Detroit Lions RB Joique Bell (ankle) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Oct. 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Lions have been wanting to get Bell more involved, but he's been slow to recover from offseason knee and Achilles' injuries. Now, it seems like he's back from his ankle injury. The Lions should use Bell enough to make him a "what the heck" flex against the Bears in Week 6.

MIN - WR Mike Wallace expects to play

Source: Minneapolis Star Tribune - Jason Gonzalez

Minnesota Vikings WR Mike Wallace (knee) said he injured his knee in Week 4 but should be able to play in the Week 6 game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Chiefs defense is soft against the pass, but the Vikings won't go to the air a lot if they don't have to. This offense is built around using Adrian Peterson as much as possible. Wallace is a WR4/WR5....which means most of you aren't going to start him.

JAX - Full practice for RB Denard Robinson

    Source: Jaguars.com - John Oehser

Updating a previous report, Jacksonville Jaguars RB Denard Robinson (knee) participated fully in practice Wednesday, Oct. 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Robinson has only played 17 snaps this year, and we haven't seen him in action since Week 2. Getting him on the field adds another weapon to the offense. He gives the team a nice change-of-pace back behind starter T.J. Yeldon.

ARI - WR John Brown sits out Wednesday

    Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban

Arizona Cardinals WR John Brown (hamstring) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Cardinals are going to wisely take it easy on Brown. The speedster needs time to let this hamstring injury rest. We'll see if he can practice fully on Friday.

CHI - WR Eddie Royal misses practice

    Source: ESPNChicago.com - Jeff Dickerson

Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal (ankle) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Check back on his practice status later in the week. If Royal does not play, it could mean more targets for Marquess Wilson again. The Bears travel to take on the hapless Lions on Sunday.

ARI - QB Carson Palmers sports brace again

    Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban

Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer is wearing his knee brace again after going without it in Week 5.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Somebody probably should have noticed that. The Cardinals are Super Bowl contenders so long as Palmer is healthy, and they need to do whatever they can to make sure he stays upright. Palmer said he forgot to pack the knee brace last week, but he still threw three touchdowns without it.

DET - QB Matthew Stafford moving on

    Source: ESPN.com - Michael Rothstein

Detroit Lions QB Matthew Stafford said he's ready to move on from his benching in Week 5, adding that his relationship with head coach Jim Caldwell is good. Stafford said his confidence in his ability has not wavered and that he's going to be the same quarterback he's always been.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Uh-oh. He doesn't want to be the same quarterback, he wants to be better. Stafford has talent, but this offense isn't doing him any favors. We'd like to see more of a playground offense from the Lions where Stafford is taking deep shots to Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate.

BAL - WR Steve Smith back at practice

Source: WBAL TV - Pete Gilbert

Baltimore Ravens WR Steve Smith (back) returned to practice Wednesday, Oct. 14. He moved cautiously in drills but showed a burst as well.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It will be such a boost for the Ravens to get Smith back in action. We like him as a low-end WR1 against the 49ers in Week 6.

BAL - TE Crockett Gillmore good to go

Source: WBAL TV - Pete Gilbert

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (calf) looked 100% running routes Wednesday, Oct. 14, and appears ready to return to face the San Francisco 49ers in Week 6.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This is going to help Joe Flacco and the passing game. Gillmore is a tough player and will haul in difficult catches over the middle. In his first week back, consider Gillmore a TE2 with upside.

NYG - WR Victor Cruz likely out again

    Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Dan Graziano

New York Giants WR Victor Cruz (calf) hasn't been cleared to practice and is likely out for Week 6 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Giants have a lot of banged up WRs right now. This means we might see RB Shane Vereen used more as a receiver out of the backfield. They could also line Vereen up in the slot if needed. Expect a larger role for Dwayne Harris too.

    Friday Update

IND - QB Andrew Luck expected to return

    Source: ESPN.com - Mike Wells

Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck (shoulder) is expected to play in Week 6 against the New England Patriots after missing the last two games, according to owner Jim Irsay. 'I really think that, unless something happens, I see him being a go Sunday,' Irsay said. 'I'm not saying 100% for sure, but I think there's a strong likelihood he's a go. I was with him (Thursday), and he's feeling a lot better.' Irsay confirmed that Luck isn't dealing with a separated shoulder.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

All signs have pointed to Luck returning this week. We'll see if he can get rid of the ball quicker like Matt Hasselbeck did when he was filling in. Luck is likely to have to play catch-up football against a Patriots team hellbent on dominating the league. We trust Luck as a QB1 upon his return.

SEA - RB Marshawn Lynch a full go

    Source: Seahawks.com

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch (hamstring) practiced in full Thursday, Oct. 15, after being limited Wednesday, Oct. 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Great news for Lynch and the Seahawks here. Playing at home against the Panthers, we trust Lynch as a low-end RB1 in Week 6.

BUF - QB Tyrod Taylor up in air for Week 6

    Source: ESPN.com - Mike Rodak

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor (knee) continues to improve, but head coach Rex Ryan isn't comfortable saying that Taylor will be able to play in Week 6 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We still feel that EJ Manuel will end up playing, which means you should look elsewhere for your quarterback. If Taylor plays, he will be a decent—not great—QB2, and one which carries the risk of his knee being balky mid-game.

BAL - WR Steve Smith practices again

    Source: WNST

Baltimore Ravens WR Steve Smith (back) practiced again Thursday, Oct. 15.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The microfractures make us nervous and back pain is nothing to sneeze at. He has low-end WR2 potential this week if he plays, but there is the risk his back could act up and he could end up limited even if he does play so, buyer beware.

BAL - Baltimore confident in RB Javorius Allen

    Source: BaltimoreRavens.com - Ryan Mink

Baltimore Ravens RB Javorius Allen is seeing holes and finishing plays better, offensive coordinator Marc Trestman said Thursday, Oct.15. 'No. 1, we have a lot of confidence in 'Buck,'' Trestman said.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Watch the Justin Forsett ankle problem closely. The team is saying he doesn't have a high ankle sprain, but the mechanism of the injury looks like he does. If Forsett is out or at least limited, then it would open the door for the rookie.

San Francisco 49ers RB Carlos Hyde (foot) warmed up Thursday, Oct. 15, then went to the 49ers' weight room when practice commenced.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Head coach Jim Tomsula has said they want to preserve Hyde as much as they can. This isn't what you want to hear if you're considering Hyde this week as a RB2 against the Ravens. Stay tuned, Friday is the big practice day around the NFL.

DEN - Thursday practice report for Week 6

    Source: NFL

Denver Broncos OG Evan Mathis (hamstring), CB Aqib Talib (ankle), RB Juwan Thompson (hamstring) and DE DeMarcus Ware (back) did not practice Thursday, Oct. 15. WRs Bennie Fowler (hamstring) and Cody Latimer (groin) and OT Ty Sambrailo (shoulder) were limited. DE Kenny Anunike (knee), CB Omar Bolden (foot), OT Ryan Harris (knee) and OG Louis Vasquez (non-injury) participated fully.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

With Thompson banged up, we could see the Broncos activate Kapri Bibbs off their practice squad.

BUF - WR Sammy Watkins unhappy with targets

    Source: ESPN.com - Mike Rodak

Buffalo Bills WR Sammy Watkins (calf) said he is upset with his lack of targets this year, and he and his agent said the team is making him 'look bad' after taking him fourth overall in the 2014 draft. 'I need the ball at least 10 times -- I need 10 targets -- and I'll be fine with however many yards I get,' Watkins said. He also said that he wants to play in Week 6 against the Cincinnati Bengals even if it means reinjuring his calf. Head coach Rex Ryan, however, said it's not in Watkins' hands if he plays.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Watkins is a competitor, but he's in a run-heavy offense...what did he expect when Rex Ryan took over? The Bills could be in trouble if both Watkins and QB Tyrod Taylor don't play in Week 6 against the Bengals.

CLE - RB Isaiah Crowell, QB Josh McCown limited

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

McCown is going to have to run for his life against a ferocious Broncos D on Sunday. Crowell may not get much on the ground against one of the league's best defenses. Find other options if you can.

JAX - TE Julius Thomas has full practice

    Source: NFL

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Julius Thomas (hand) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Oct. 15.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Thomas is an asset that fantasy owners can turn to now that he's back. His presence in the red zone will only help what is a budding offense in Jacksonville. We like him as a low-end TE1 against Houston in Week 6.

IND - WR Andre Johnson has full practice

    Source: WEEI.com - Christopher Price

Indianapolis Colts WR Andre Johnson (rest) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Oct. 15, after resting Wednesday, Oct. 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Yes, Andre Johnson had a big game (for him) last week but we didn't see a different guy than we did during the previous weeks when he struggled. He's likely to revert back to form, especially if Andrew Luck comes back. Consider him no more than a WR6 at this point, despite last week's two touchdowns.

IND - WR T.Y. Hilton limited

    Source: WEEI.com - Christopher Price

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (groin) was limited in practice Thursday, Oct. 15, with a groin injury. There was no indication as to the cause or severity of the injury.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

If he plays we could see him putting up some solid WR2 numbers, but this groin injury is a concern. We'll keep you updated, but make sure you have other options given the Sunday night primetime spot this game is in.

NYJ - RB Chris Ivory, WR Eric Decker practice in full

    Source: NewYorkJets.com

New York Jets RB Chris Ivory (quadriceps) and WR Eric Decker (knee) practiced in full for the second straight day Thursday, Oct. 15.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ivory is a borderline RB1 this week against a Washington run defense which, while not horrible, isn't scaring anyone either. Decker looks to be a high-end WR2 this week, even in what we think is a tough matchup. After dealing with a knee sprain, Decker put up a nice game against the Dolphins, but Ryan Fitzpatrick looks for him a ton, so he should put up great numbers this week. This offense is intriguing and might only just be getting going.

NYJ - RB Bilal Powell limited again

New York Jets RB Bilal Powell (groin) was limited for the second straight day in practice Thursday, Oct. 15.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Powell had a few nice PPR games and then disappeared against Miami in London. Now that Chris Ivory is back, he takes a back seat and is no better than an RB5.

NE - RB Dion Lewis limited Thursday

    Source: WEEI.com - Christopher Price

New England Patriots RB Dion Lewis (abdomen) was limited in practice Thursday, Oct. 15.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This will put a crimp into a lot of people's DFS lineups. Lewis has been steady as a reasonable play for a lot of DFS players and replacing his production will mess with your lineup. It hurts in regular formats as well, as we expect RB1 production this week. Keep it locked here to get all the info on Lewis heading into the weekend.

    HOU - Cecil shorts limited

Houston Texans WR Cecil Shorts (shoulder) was limited in practice Thursday, Oct. 15.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Shorts had a huge Week 4 mostly because of some Brian Hoyer Garbage-Time Hero antics, and we wouldn't expect those numbers again even if he was healthy. At best we see him as a WR5 with upside and if he's still gimpy, you can knock him down a few rankings as well.

Houston Texans RB Arian Foster (groin) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Oct. 15.

Buffalo Bills RB Karlos Williams (concussion) missed practice for the second straight day Thursday, Oct. 15.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

LeSean McCoy might be back (and would be a low-end RB2) but otherwise it's the Anthony Dixon/Dan Herron show and neither of them worth more than an RB3.

WAS - WR DeSean Jackson still hopeful to play

Source: The Washington Post - Liz Clarke

Updating a previous report, Washington Redskins WR DeSean Jackson (hamstring) felt a twinge in his hamstring while going for a deep ball in practice Thursday, Oct. 15, and removed himself from practice. However, he's still hoping that he can return to play in Week 6 against the New York Jets.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We still say he's no more than a WR4 at this point, especially with the tough secondary the Jets feature. We'd stay away because that hamstring could also become an issue in the middle of the game as it did during Thursday's practice.

CHI - WR Eddie Royal back at practice

Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal (ankle) returned to practice Thursday, Oct. 15.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Royal is really no more than a WR4, and the impact will actually hurt Marquess Wilson more if he's in the game, knocking him from a solid WR3 to a borderline WR3/WR4 if Royal plays.

BAL - TE Crockett Gillmore practices Thursday

    Source: WNST

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (calf) practiced again Thursday, Oct. 15.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

If he plays, and it looks like he should, we think he could be a solid TE2 against the Niners this weekend. He was heavily targeted in Week 2, the last time he was healthy, catching five of six and totaling 88 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The Ravens need help so if he can go, he could see a lot of opportunity.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Is it time to grab Javorius Allen? If Forsett is out, Allen would be a nice RB2 start this weekend against San Francisco.

    Saturday Update

IND - QB Andrew Luck questionable again

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck (shoulder) is questionable for Week 6 against the New England Patriots.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

There is a demonstrable improvement in his condition this week, but that's not an assurance that he'll play. Hopefully this clears itself up by Sunday morning, but if it doesn't you need to have Matt Hasselbeck, Eli Manning, or Sam Bradford on your roster to feel ok about leaving Luck in when games kick off on Sunday.

SEA - RB Marshawn Lynch will play a lot

Source: The Seattle Times - Bob Condotta

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch (hamstring) will play a lot in Week 6, according to head coach Pete Carroll.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Lynch has been scaling up his practice participation in a way that suggests he will be back this week, and with the Seattle offensive line finally opening holes last week, he should be effective. Start him if you've got him.

SF - RB Carlos Hyde listed as questionable

    Source: 49ers.com

San Francisco 49ers RB Carlos Hyde (foot) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 16, and is listed as questionable for the Week 6 game against the Baltimore Ravens.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hyde will get almost all of the work with Reggie Bush hurt again. The Ravens run defense is tough but you have to give Hyde an RB2 look on volume and talent alone.

BAL - WR Steve Smith's status in question

    Source: BaltimoreRavens.com

Baltimore Ravens WR Steve Smith (back) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 16, and is listed as questionable for the Week 6 game against the San Francisco 49ers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Smith all but said that he's not going to play this week. Stranger things have happened, but go into Sunday assuming you and the Ravens won't have Smith unless we hear otherwise.

BAL - TE Crockett Gillmore questionable

    Source: BaltimoreRavens.com

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (calf) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 16, and is listed as questionable for the Week 6 game against the San Francisco 49ers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gillmore has been getting closer to a return. If he can take the field Sunday with Steve Smith out, he might lead the team in targets.

JAX - QB Blake Bortles listed as probable

    Source: NFL

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles (shoulder) practiced in full for the third straight day Friday, Oct. 16, and is probable for Week 6 against the Houston Texans.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bortles suffered a shoulder injury last week, but it didn't hamper him during the game or limit his practice participation this week. He's good to go as a low QB1 against Houston.

MIN - WR Mike Wallace should be on the field
    Source: KCChiefs.com
Minnesota Vikings WR Mike Wallace (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 16, and is listed as probable for the Week 6 game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Wallace's status was murkier earlier in the week, but he's good to go against a Chiefs defense that has given up some big numbers to wide receivers this year.

MIN - WR Charles Johnson's status in question

    Source: KCChiefs.com

Minnesota Vikings WR Charles Johnson (rib) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 16, and is listed as questionable for the Week 6 game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Vikings pass offense will skew conservative in any game they can control, so a banged up Johnson is not a good start. Rookie Stefon Diggs would get a shot to contribute more if Johnson is out on Sunday.

KC - Friday injury report for Week 6

    Source: KCChiefs.com

Kansas City Chiefs LB Josh Mauga (groin, Achilles') and DT Dontari Poe (ankle) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 16, and have been ruled out for the Week 6 game against the Minnesota Vikings. LB Tamba Hali (knee) did not practice and is listed as questionable. CB Jamell Fleming (elbow), TE James O'Shaughnessy (hand) and TE Brian Parker (finger) fully participated in practice and are listed as probable.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Poe being out is going to make Adrian Peterson's job easier, although backup Jaye Howard has also played well this year.

ARI - WR John Brown, TE Darren Fells probable

    Source: AZCardinals.com

Arizona Cardinals WR John Brown (hamstring) and TE Darren Fells (hip) were both limited in practice Friday, Oct. 16, but are listed as probable for Week 6 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Brown has a chance for a massive game against the Steelers secondary. Philip Rivers was mainly let down by his offensive line, but moved the ball at will when penalties and turnovers didn't bite the offense. Carson Palmer and company should be able to do whatever they want against the Steelers defense on a short week.

IND - WR T.Y. Hilton should play

    Source: Patriots.com

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (groin) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 16, and is listed as probable for the Week 6 game against the New England Patriots.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hilton is worth a start whether Andrew Luck goes or not, but Luck would be better for his outlook.

DET - RB Joique Bell, RB Theo Riddick questionable

    Source: MLive.com - Justin Rogers

Detroit Lions RBs Joique Bell (ankle) and Theo Riddick (groin) are both questionable for Week 6 against the Chicago Bears. Bell practiced in full for the third straight day Friday, Oct. 16, while Riddick was held out Friday. Riddick suffered his groin injury in practice this week. RBs Ameer Abdullah and Zach Zenner would be heavily relied on if both Bell and Riddick are held out.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

If there's a redemption week script brewing for Abdullah, Riddick being out to give Abdullah more targets in space is part of it. Be more open to starting him in PPR leagues.

DET - Friday injury report for Week 6

    Source: DetroitLions.com

Detroit Lions LB DeAndre Levy (hip) and DT Haloti Ngata (calf) have been ruled out for Week 6 against the Chicago Bears. S James Ihedigbo (quadriceps) is questionable, while DE Jason Jones (knee), CB Darius Slay (hip), DE Darryl Tapp (ankle), OT LaAdrian Waddle (knee) and OG Larry Warford (ankle) are probable. Levy and Ngata didn't practice Friday, Oct. 16. Ihedigbo and Waddle were limited, while the others practiced in full.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ngata and Levy being out will help Matt Forte's case against the reeling Lions defense. Ihedigbo's loss would also weaken the run defense if he is out.

NE - RB Dion Lewis questionable

    Source: Patriots.com

New England Patriots RB Dion Lewis (abdomen) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 16, and is listed as questionable for the Week 6 game against the Indianapolis Colts.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Lewis is expected to play, but we'll be listening for any clues that indicate his status in either direction leading up to the Sunday night game.

PHI - RB Ryan Mathews limited Friday

    Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com

Philadelphia Eagles RB Ryan Mathews (groin) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 16.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Demarco Murray could get closer to a full workload if Mathews is limited on Monday night. We'll be watching his injury report status.

BUF - RB Karlos Williams will not play

    Source: BuffaloBills.com

Buffalo Bills RB Karlos Williams (concussion) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 16, and has been ruled out for the Week 6 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Any time a concussion keeps a player out for multiple weeks, we take notice. In Williams' case, it doesn't appear that he was close to playing either last week or this week, so we might see him out through the Week 8 bye.

CHI - WR Alshon Jeffery, WR Eddie Royal questionable

    Source: ESPNChicago.com - Jeff Dickerson

Chicago Bears WRs Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) and Eddie Royal (ankle) were both limited in practice Friday, Oct. 16, and are questionable for Week 6 against the Detroit Lions. Jeffery made it through the whole week without a setback after being inactive the last four weeks. Jeffery said his hamstring is feeling much better than it did last week.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jeffery is 50/50 to play at best with the Chicago bye up next week. He can still be a solid WR2 start even if limited, but perhaps it is best for Jeffery and his fantasy owners to sit this one out.

BUF - RB LeSean McCoy not 100%

Source: The Buffalo News - Vic Carucci

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (hamstring) admits he's not 100%, but he sees opportunities to make plays against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 6.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This isn't what his owners want to hear. McCoy isn't going to get back to 100% (or close) if he keeps playing on the injured hamstring.

CHI - TE Martellus Bennett questionable

Source: Chicago Tribune - Rich Campbell

Chicago Bears TE Martellus Bennett (quadriceps) suffered a quadriceps injury in practice Thursday, Oct. 15, and is questionable for Week 6. Bennett didn't practice Friday, Oct. 16.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bennett tends to play through injuries, so if you were relying on him, you might still have him available on Sunday.

BAL - RB Lorenzo Taliaferro had Lisfranc injury

    Source: WNST

Baltimore Ravens RB Lorenzo Taliaferro (foot) had surgery to fix a Lisfranc injury in his foot.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This is bad news for his dynasty stock. Buck Allen should have a chance to assert himself as a possible starter of the future, but the Ravens could easily go back to the well in the draft if Taliaferro seems like damaged goods in his comeback from this surgery.

NYJ - RB Bilal Powell a game-time decision

    Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Rich Cimini

New York Jets RB Bilal Powell (groin) is questionable and will be a game-time decision in Week 6.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Chris Ivory should get a feature back workload against a game Washington defense. He's a strong RB2 start.

BUF - QB Tyrod Taylor questionable

Source: NFL Network - Albert Breer

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor (knee) is questionable for Week 6.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

EJ Manuel has been taking most of the first team snaps in practice, so we don't think Taylor will go this week, which is bad news for the whole Bills offense.

"for sure" no, but closer to probable than his official questionable.

true, but Thomas Rawls ran for 169 yards last week. Seattle's problem is they're always blowing leads.

Wondering what you guys would do with these players today (start/sit):

ODB....thinking of sitting because it's a Monday night game
    Lynch...leaning towards playing him
    Forsett...leaning towards playing him
Luck....Thinking of sitting him for either Hoyer or Bridgewater
