Rob Gronkowski Hasn't Spent One Dime Of His 16.3 Million NFL Earnings

    Story From Yahoo Sports

Um... I don't care if the story is true false or whatever.... I only have one question.

He has played 5 NFL seasons and has only made 16.3 Million?

The guy is a machine... and he's only avg 3.26 million a season? That can't be right.

That is pretty surprising. But I guess his first few years were around $1mil per year on a rookie contract, then he signed a contract in 2012 with a $4.75mil/year base and an $8mil signing bonus. My guess is most of his NFL money comes from bonuses and most of his personal money comes from endorsements.

    Gotta love Gronk.

Would you say he's a 10 mil a year player on any other team in the NFL?

    I would say yes.

That's what happens when you play for ne. You sacrifice $$ for winning. It's the pats way.

when healthy yes. but the guy can never stay healthy. as jaworski said, your greatest asset is availability.

thats why he makes less than other top tight ends

word is out that he's endorsement happy, and doesn't throw much of his money around like some. undertips for an athlete in the local area people say.

He says he still wears clothes that he had in college, never has nice shoes or jewels. Just spends a crapload of his endorsement money on pounding bud lights and partying with the bros

I was sorta shocked too. Gotta give the Pats credit being shrewd negotiators. A lot of the money is on the back end.

Gotta remember that 4 of those years was on his rookie contract. He also had quite a few injuries, within one years time he had at least 4 forearm surgeries, a back surgery and then tore his ACL and MCL. Hindsight is 20/20, but at the time it was a risk to sign for huge money, not knowing if he was gonna be the same player when he recovered. The guy's a beast and loves to play the game.

jay leno did this too. did not spend his tonight show money. once you make a lot of money, people then want to give you more money to do whatever you were going to do anyway. pretty smart.

    this was yesterday

When Derek Jeter eats amongst company, he's probably used to being presented with the black bi-fold bearing the check. According to Forbes, Jeter's raked in approximately $400 million during his baseball career, the kind of wealth that tends to turn one into the breadwinner in any financial situation.
Whether it's over something as big as a house or as tiny as a pizza date, the one with the money is expected to pay up, and in full, no?
Not in Hannah Davis' life. The 40-year-old Jeter and the 25-year-old Davis, his girlfriend of nearly a year, were recently in Rome, Italy, enjoying a quintessential Italian getaway when they went Dutch on a lunch tab, according to The New York Daily News.

The "cheap F---cks" as you say are the smart ones that still have their money in 10, 20, 30 yrs. The idiots that over tip, pay for everyone else are the ones you see go bankrupt.

    sounds like a cheap fukk.

What is he saving it for?

Whats the point of being in the NFL if you aint going to reward yourself for it?

No point in saving money for the future, nobody is promised tomorrow.

How many guys live that kind of reward yourself now mentality, and fail to realize they make pro football money for less than 10 years of a 70-80 year life span and have families to support on top of that? And let's not even get into baby mamas.

    Gronk is a brilliant beast.

Gronk is great. He just likes to have a good time.

Watch Dwayne Johnson's new HBO show Ballers, those guys are typical NFL guys that act like dumb assholes. Gronk is smart but likes to party.
