How good will the Jacksonville Jaguars be this year?

Signed Kellon Clemmons and Julius Thomas.

Why would these guys want to play for Jacksonville?

Are the supposed to be good now?

Looking at their schedule, I honestly believe they will lose their first 7 games of the season.

I just can't see who they are going to beat.

    Falcons. Jets. Titans twice.

Even that seems a little optimistic.

Home vs Carolina and Miami to start the season are winnable. They probably get at least one there.

Tampa Bay, Houston, Buffalo, San Diego, Atlanta all winnable games as well.

They'll be dogs in every game except when they host TEN. Probably ok betting value, they'll pull some upsets.

Winnable but I would bet that they lose 3/4 of Tampa, Buffalo, SD and Lanta

They lost their #1 pick due to injuries.
They could go 0-16 or 1-15

they wont finish last in the division... teams come out of nowhere all the time. Bortles could makes vast improvements and they could finish they year strong... like they did in 2013... people dont realize the difference in 4-12 and 8-8 is usually a dozen plays throughout the course of the year.

I say they split but even if they don't, they could very well pick up another game you wouldn't expect.

This is very true. NFL always less predictable than I think it is. There is a reason I usually end up -units on NFL.

Im a huge Jags fan. Honestly last year we didn't have OL and our former OC was more 65% pass 35% run. This year, Bortles our QB changed his mechanics, we got Julius Thomas, we drafted TJ Yeldon RB from Alabama who will start. We lost Fowler but we will be way more competitive this year than last year. I put some money on over 5.5 win Jags!

    1. You have no way to tell if Bortles will change at all, how many QB's "changed their mechanics, but still suck?? A LOT
    2. You do realize JT was a product of Peyton and the system right? Dude isn't any more special then Delaine Walker
    3. Yeldon is so overrated, fumbles a ton and didn't impress me at all in college, running behind a top Run OL.
    4. Banking on the Jags to get 6 wins is expecting Bortles to make a jump, when quite frankly he blows and the JAGS were MORONS to pass on Bridgewater. Love the confidence, but i would not trust my money on Bortles.

Bro I'm a fan, I went to the OTA's. he is a much different QB then he was last year. He never had proper training at UCF, so he is just learning his mechanics and how to use them to his abilities. His numbers aren't great but he did many things the other QB's like Bridgewater, Manziel, and Carr haven't done. Bortles will improve because he has improved, his OL has improved, and we got him weapons. Yeldon will do much better than Gordon this year as well as Gurley. Julius Thomas is a big TE that will help Bortles. We are for sure going to be 8-8 or better next year.

I agree. Bridgewater was the best available quarterback during that NFL draft.

Again this is all assuming they can a step forward, EVERY team looks good at OTA's i can't believe you actually think they can be good because they look good at OTA's, put down homer shades man. Can they go 8-8? Sure if the entire team makes the jump, but i am no way going to put money on that and don't believe that they do, but hey i could be wrong and you can come back here and tell me i was wrong, but i'm pretty confident in the fact that the offense only has 3 good players, 1 of which is suspended, 1 who drops passes like a Mo-Fo and 1 who can't stay healthy.

BTW i would bet that Gordon has better stats, in fact i would bet a s*** ton that he does. Gurley would too if he wasn't hurt. Gurley is MILES, MILES ahead of Yeldon
