It was a busy off-season NFL Thursday.

Updating an ongoing story, Pittsburgh Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell was suspended three games and fined an additional game check after violating the league's substance abuse policy, according to league sources. He has appealed.

We heard a pair of games the other day, but it seems we're in the three game territory now, hurting Bell's draft stock a bit. Unless he appeals (and wins) this ruling could knock him out of the first round in some redraft leagues. However, if he's there in the second (or the late first in a snake-style draft), consider yourself blessed because Bell is otherwise the top pick in a fantasy league. If you can build a team around him top survive those first three weeks you could have a great value in him.

It will be interesting to see how they pair him with Chris Ivory. You'd think, given how they wanted to use Chris Johnson as a pass-catcher, that they would want a pass-catching back next to Ivory, but that's not Ridley, who is very similar to Ivory. Coming off an ACL injury, it's no sure thing Ridley will be back to normal, but if he is, this will eat into both his and Ivory's value as they do the same thing and could split carries.

I wonder if he can still lead the league in rushing in 13 games might be worth a flier.

When healthy, Ridley is a better rb than Ivory.

Jets keep picking up running backs

They're fungible and won't solve anything

He might be able to play more relaxed now that he won't get benched every time he fumbles. Or maybe Bowles will do that as well.

Ridleys fumbling is overhyped because of that coach in NE if u check numbers when healthy good back and a steal if he can play good
