Per Report: Torrey Smith to 49ers

Reunited with Anquan Boldin on opposite side.

One source told the Baltimore Sun that free agent Torrey Smith signing with the 49ers is a "done deal."

It can't hurt that Torrey has stayed tight with Anquan Boldin since playing across from him in Baltimore. The Sun floats $8 million to $9 million annually as Smith's likely price range. The Ravens are less than $5 million under the cap and couldn't match such an offer. The Sun also confirms Andre Johnson "would be regarded as a potential fit" to replace Torrey opposite Steve Smith Sr.

Maybe he should put that deal on hold, to see what's going to happen with this Kaepernick trade rumor.

Kaepernick is going to be dones soon. Guy just doesn't make good throws consistently. He needs to run more

Probably irrelevant considering Kap is overrated anyway.

Of course he's overrated. But I still think that FA wide out would rather have a clear picture of situation in his new team, then coming in and having no clue what the plan is and who's gonna throw him the rock

I guess $8 million or $9 million per year is enough for Smith to not really worry about it.

Seahawks got weaker in pass defense the same day the 49ers got stronger.

what is your opinion of the new 49ers head coach?

likelihood of getting a big contract way higher than getting a super bowl ring though. torrey smith already has a super bowl ring anyway.

Good pick up for 49ers, I'm in the small minority that thinks Kap will have a real good season. He's not getting traded.
