80% of success in the NFL is related to the quarterback

    That's all it ever is

good point but Brady would make him big time if he was part of the game plan

Brady makes average college players into hall of famers or at least all stars

and Brandon Marshall is Holmes and Harvin in what way

the dude has been in the league 10 years, is 30 years old and this is his worst season yet
in which the season was not a bust anyways.
Because 700+ yards and 8 toudhdowns with Jay Cutler throwing you the ball is not easy
Crazy you guys are saying this ..... outside of being a slight headcase the dude is fukkin talented
and has actually backed it up on the stat sheet for a decade

Holmes was great for the Jets the first season there when they went to the AFC Championship game....Harvin also did nothing wrong and played fine, the Jets might get rid of him though because they don't wanna give up a 4th rounder and pay him 10 mill....the 4th rounder turns to a 6th

Regardless Jets are one of those teams people will knock no matter what they do....Just the way it is

Good pickup but won't mean much if they they don't get an upgrade at QB in the offseason.

Jets will release WR Percy Harvin.

He was owed $10.5 million. The Jets will absorb Brandon Marshall's $7.7M instead and give Harvin his walking papers after he contributed 51 catches, 685 total yards, and two touchdowns to New York and Seattle last season. The draft pick the Jets owe the Seahawks also drops from a fourth-rounder to a sixth-rounder. Harvin turns 27 in May and should have an active free agent market despite his inability to stick with one team. Some team will surely take a flier on his game-breaking ability as a wideout-running back and kickoff return ace.

Not saying this is the wrong decision, but if you're selling off Marshall, may as well sell off Cutler and Forte too.

Trestman ****** this team for a few years with his stupidity.

I'd like to see Cutler end up in Buffalo. Probably legitimate playoff contenders under that scenario. I'm a Bears fan, but we've done Cutler dirty. He deserves better than this shit show.

As a Pats fan I hope Cutler ends up in Buffalo as well. They won't win 5 games with him as qb. Guy is Jeff George jr.

That's an 'ESPN-fan' opinion to have. Those who know the game even a little saw that the Bears were a terrible offensive team last year and it wasn't about Cutler even a little bit.

No run blocking. No pass blocking. WR's getting jammed easily at the line because Marshall/Jeffery both are slow and don't get down field quickly, both were battling leg injuries as well. Bears go 2-14 last year with McCown... would have been so ugly.

Haha so it was basically everyone's fault last year but cutler? He doesn't deserve all the blame he's getting, but he was far from good last year.

I don't think he was that bad. He missed some passes, but getting down 14+ because your defense is the worst in the league and then having no ground game to boot, he was pretty much doomed.

Imagine having the worst defense in the league, no running game, and no speed wide receivers to stretch the field. No QB on planet earth would be successful with that. It's a nightmare. Bears wouldn't have been winning last year with Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady, so I'm not going to focus too much of my energy on Jay Cutler's struggles. The whole team was terrible and the coaching staff was even worse.

Bears have had a good running game. Bears have had good defensive teams. Cutler was still a mental midget even with all the tools.

That team he took to the NFC championship game was pretty mediocre offensively and above average defensively. As for what Cutler has had in Chicago, look at the defensive rankings since Cutler has been in Chicago.
