This one stat is pushing me towards Seattle!

The Team with the higher ranking Defense has won 44 out of 48 Super Bowls.
To me, that is a very telling stat!

I believe Seattle has the No.1 Defense and NE the 8th.

    Here's another stat:

Teams that have scored 40-plus in the playoffs are just 3-22 against the spread in their following game since 1996.

Last game: Patriots 45, Colts 7.

Maybe, until Sherman & Thomas got hurt. Besides, Brady is not nor has he ever been known for the long ball. He throws short underneath passes and a lot of play action, has a superior, uninjured tight end. They just have too many weapons for Seattle to handle. The Pat's defense isn't all that bad either. And they have decent running backs. If big ole fat Wilfork clogs the middle the edge rushers will or should contain Wilson. They are not going to "hand" the game to Seattle like GB did. Just my opinion. BOL. Oh yes, our cornerbacks aren't bad either. Who is a good receiver on Seattle???

Easy to be the No.1 Defense though when you play 12 games against piss poor Qb's

Yeah, I have been thinking that Reevis shuts down Baldwin and the Pats can commit 8 or 9 to the box. Can you tell I have still not pulled the trigger yet?

Revis is just as good if not better than Sherman. He also has two good arms, Sherman doesn't , and the Pat's are taught NOT to talk trash BEFORE the games, that is TABOO, from their boss. Pat's have a ton of weapons on offense, does Seattle. Shut down the running game, game, set match.

Not to mention Sherman stays put 99.9% of the time..Revis can play anywhere..It's Sherman's preference, he's not confident playing the other side

Its not Seattles WRs that are talented and Revis or anyone for that matter cant stay with these guys when Wilson gets outside the pocket and the play breaks down. Thats how Seattle makes their money, from broken plays, Beast Mode and then Luke Wilson flying up the middle of the field.

Good insight, but see post #4. You do not have GREAT receivers and Revis can cover any body. BOL in your wager.

I'll toss another one out for you guys to chew on. This will be a home game for Seattle, just like last SB.

Well brother I live in the Boston area, and thousands are on there way. Don't forget the movie crowd that loves Tommy Boy and his celebrity wife, not to mention they had that little mansion out there (CA.) for a while. LOL. Don't see that being of any value, home team. Who are you taking by the way, I picture you as a Seattle type guy in this one???

Don't forget about the "Fire Alarm" trend! Read below!

For the second time in three nights, the hotel where the Patriots are staying for the Super Bowl in Phoenix experienced a false fire alarm, according to a Twitter post from the NFL Network's Kimberly Jones.

False fire alarms are nothing new in NFL circles, and the finger often gets pointed in the direction of opposing fans. The Philadelphia Eagles were awakened by an alarm prior to playing San Francisco this past September, blaming 49ers fans for interrupting their REM, and the Miami Dolphinshad a similar experience in Buffalo last season, when the Bills faithful were the prime suspects. New Englanders have been on the other end of that blame game, as the New York Jets were awakened by a false fire alarm in 2009.
For the record, the Eagles, Dolphins and Jets all lost their games after receiving an early wake-up call.
The Pats have a few more nights before the Super Bowl, and the hotel might be wise to staff a few people to monitor the fire alarms going forward — as long as they're not from Seattle (alarm-gate!). Meanwhile, you'll have to excuse Bill Belichick if he's not his usual peppy self at Thursday's press conference.

Tom Brady is 1-4 ATS in the super bowl.
But the Patriots have been playing very well today.
