I'm a Manning homer but I think they can give NE a better game in Foxboro this time then NE gave them in Denver last year. Denver can run the ball and prob has more overall talent than NE if their defense can hold up. If the Jets can battle NE down to the wire in a must game for NE then so can Denver. Fox and their coaching staff wised up and realized Manning can't throw it 40-50 times a game anymore and beat quality teams. Lets see how the 1st 2 rounds play out anyway. Balt always plays NE tough with that pass rush and Pitt is so young and up-n-down. The Colts/Bengals winner has no shot whatsoever in the 2nd round. Indy's O-line is beyond horrible and Ginger is Ginger....they will prob lost in Indy due to Luck>Ginger

they certainly should play better, be hard to play worse.

Either way, manning's arm is shot and it's very clear.

It wasn't like he was launching 45 yard ropes in the last 2 years either? He can still put it in their hands...on the move....within 35 yards if he gets a clean pocket and can step into it. He was torching Cincy in the 3rd quarter til the rain started pouring down. He doesn't have the arm for any kind of serious weather issue which could easily happen in Foxboro.

The thing I can't understand is how bad Denver's D looks in Foxboro. They got torched in 2012. They shutout NE in the first half last year then completely fell apart in the 2nd half. They were bad this year too. It could be a mental thing because they have the personnel to do the same thing to NE that Baltimore does when they play Brady. They're 10x better than the Jets D and they played well vs Brady. Denver's D and running game is what they'll need to win in Foxboro

history says cold weather (possible snow) and big stage are both recipes for disaster for manning. he will choke again. unless the playoffs move to September. if you watched the past month of broncos games, they run the ball more than anything and manning is throwing ducks and limping around. they don't even no huddle anymore. good luck but im fading away

Thats the public thought.. this years team is different though.. they are built on running the ball and defense. Peyton just needs to manage the game (which in that sense there may be noone better). We'll see though

Pats at home vs Manning a no brainer. Past couple years they played at Fox fading them was one of my fave and biggest plays of year. Fact Denver was a fave there this season was beyond laughable and generous. But seriously this comes down to chess even if you believe in noodle arm, the stiffer D, or run gm. Which btw far as D and run gm goes Pats stronger and healthier than last season also. But in a chess match I take Beli/Brady over the 6 head sheriff anyday!

Pats have to get upset in divisional round for Broncos to have a chance at the Super Bowl. That means Indy, Cincinnati, or Baltimore would have to take out the Patriots. Not happening.

The team isnt built on running..that was something they resorted to just a few weeks ago because it is apparent that mannings arm strength has fallen greatly..any team that can stuff the run will beat them because he cant throw a lazer or finesse a ball outside in swirling winds...although if he did have a stronger run presence during the earlier part of his career, i think he would have more titles to his name than the 1 he will leave the game with

Peyton had Edgerin James in his early years, maybe the best RB of his generation. Marshal Faulk was there briefly.

Sorry i meant run mix...his offense seemed to be pass first and theyd abandon the run often

I thought Peyton looked pretty good vs the Bengals until the cold rain started pouring in the 4th quarter. They should win at home and they'll have a shot in Foxboro too. Its not like Brady has a cannon arm anymore either...they don't really throw deep. If the Broncos D shows up. The game in 2013 in Foxboro could've gone either way til Welker fumbled a punt.....guess that was Manning's fault too?

No bro he has a sore quad. If not for that he'd be playing this weekend.

How badly will Pats crushing Denver in Denver next year affect Manning's Legacy (or what's left of it?)

Just a heads up to the Broncos homers. Enjoy September thru December because Peyton will choke again in January.
