Now, Looks Like Mark Sanchez is NOT Having Surgery

He instead is going the rehab route with hopes of playing later this year. Meh, seems to me Jets should just commit to Geno now since Sanchez will be gone next year anyway.

Doctors are telling him not to have surgery at this time.

Mark Sanchez - QB - Jets

The New York Daily News reports "multiple doctors" have advised Mark Sanchez that he should not have season-ending shoulder surgery at this time.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported Wednesday that Sanchez would likely require surgery on his throwing shoulder after a visit to Dr. James Andrews confirmed a torn labrum. Sanchez has decided to go the rehab route in hopes of playing this season. The Jets have already turned the page on Sanchez. Geno Smith is locked in as the starter, though there are going to be rough patches. Matt Simms and Brady Quinn will continue to serve as the backups.
