    ponder was the reason they won last week....obviously peterson was the star but that was expected and ponder played very well other than one or two mistakes

    zero chance ponder repeats that on the road in the playoffs so this might be a good move....but will end up being way too easy to second guess and coaches dont do that in the nfl

    Vikings have a better chance of winning with Ponder, but this would really add a new element for the Vikings offense.

    FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reports that Vikings players haven't been told whether Christian Ponder (elbow) or Joe Webb will start Saturday night's Wild Card game versus the Packers.

    Ponder is dealing with a case of elbow bursitis in his throwing arm, and beat writer Tom Pelissero says it "only goes away with rest." Joe Webb took all of the first-team practice reps during the week while Ponder received mostly "mental reps." Pelissero is more concerned over the limited practice week than he is about the actual injury. Glazer adds that a decision will be made shortly after the coaches and quarterbacks arrive at the stadium Saturday night. Ponder is still fully expected to start, but it's not out of the realm of possibility that we see some of Webb.

    remember watching webb play last season. No doubt guy has talent. I thought Webb would be the starter this season for sure after seeing him close the season the year before. Ponder has been nothing special but this late it would be a huge surprise.

    Ponder and Webb are similar QBs, both mobile but neither can pass worth a damn. Hard to believe Ponder is worth 3 pts on the line, especially if Webb got all the practice reps this week.
