Since when did the NFL go to 7 BYE's in the Playoffs?

Plus I thought the 4pm Sunday game was supposed to be the "best" one not the worst one?

Might as well just skip to Round 2.

Seahawks will have the "mistake" corrected in GB or get bum penetrated in San Fran.

IF Seattle were to make it to the Super Bowl, they will have earned it. They are going to travel 2700 miles to DC, then back to Seattle. If they get a win in DC, they will most likely have to turn around and take another long trip to Atlanta, and if they get by that test there will be Green Bay or San Fran awaiting. If they win those three road games they will certainly be deserving of representing the NFC in the Super Bowl. I wouldn't bet on it though.

Lets not play the games at all. Lets put one team from each league and go straight to Superbowl. Playoffs? Who needs playoffs when SBR posters already know who is going to the Superbowl?

I also think that since the 49ers are playing on Saturday of week 2, and seed wise the Packers are expected to win so they didn't want to make Green Bay play Sunday and then turn around and play Saturday the next week.

i duno about that since denver will be playing someone on a short week if the seeds hold up.

also i dont think nfl cares about teams playing across the country on short weeks, see the new orleans at seattle game at 430 on saturday a few years back.

the only real given with the schedule is the worst game is gona be at 430 on saturday, rest is done for ratings. in retrospect, they probably get a larger nationwide audience for rg3 vs russell wilson, even though the packers have a large fanbase.

only thing i really wish they would change is starting the wild card sunday and divisional round sunday games at 3 and 630 like they do for the championships, i really dont know why that hasnt happened.

Yeah, because you could have had Pats vs Packers for +2500 and actually had a chance.

At least you can somewhat hedge it....

You actually like the odds of Hawks beating Wash then Atlanta then GB/SF all on the road?

I don't think the Redskins are favorite unless you are hallucinating. And Packers won't be favorite in San Fran.

No. Seattle was at home playing with one of the best home field advantages in the NFL against a soft dome team. Very different than a rookie QB going on the road to Baltimore.
