that isn;t totally breaking though. after that game you knew it pointed to kapernick. drafted over dalton, going after peyton was a showing of mistrust in smith......ed reed not being suspended was more of a surprise.

Harbaugh is not stupid. The decision is based upon momentum and boost to team morale.

They are all very excited about him. Starting Smith would take the wind out of their sails.

it makes sense. he looked great on monday. i think it's fairly obvious alex smith isn't gunna bring them a ring. yeah yeah they almost made the superbowl last year, but this is a quarterback driven league and usually the teams with the elite qbs end up winning it all. might as well roll with the hot hand. afterall look what happens with rogers and farve...

The current GM and Harbaugh really went after this guy. Traded up and gave up a lot of picks to get him. Changing now to a very inexperienced QB after one good game is dumb...

    But it makes perfect sense.

These games toward the end of the season are very important. Do you put in the guy who's fresh off a concussion or the talented and healthy young gun who's got the whole team fired up?

He must play Kaepernick. If he didn't, it wouldn't sit right with the team....makin their dinners taste funny.
