It will be raining at kickoff and the Steelers are in a major letdown spot after beating the Superbowl Champs on the road. Don't forget...last year the Steelers were favored by 11 against KC and failed to cover. Then, on MNF they also failed to cover vs SFO. The bottom line is that KC actually has a very good running back on the field tonight, and I don't know if it will matter but KC has now implemented the "Romeo Rule."

I may be getting too cute here for common sense, but in the bad weather and Pittsburgh facing a 1-7 team....I'll bet that Pittsburgh will be flat out of the gate. They probably did not prepare hard in practice this week after knocking off the Giants and seeing KC next on deck. The Steelers are also in a look-ahead spot to next week vs Baltimore.
I imagine this will be a ground affair to see who can make the fewest mistakes. Steelers will rely on their defense and play a vanilla offensive strategy and just grind down KC. Matt Cassel is better than Brady Quinn and if he can stay upright he might throw some unexpected bomb passes in unusual circumstances. KC has nothing to lose and can open up the playbook for anything.
Pitts was 2-4 ATS last year as a double-digit favorite.
Predicted Score:
Steelers 20
KC 9
KANSAS CITY +12.5
