Pats lovers don't seem to understand that bill is not gonna win in ne again. Anyone would be an improvement because he can't win the bowl anymore.

Lots of talking in this forum without much thought...here's a fact that surfaced in the first half of last nights game

Talib goes down to a hamstring injury, the patriots defense that was barely held together got exposed once talib goes down, players that were inserted couldn't do the job, then the pats lose the ability to run the ball when Ridley gets K.O.'d, offense of any kind..let alone playoff offense doesn't work when you can't run the ball (even if you are trailing in the game). Simple as that folks.

I would love to see how he would go at team like the Cowboys. They have talent and are screaming for a decent HC.

Thing is with that shit division they're in they are basically a shoe-in into the playoffs every year.
Basically running on reputation for the most part since their offensive system is near unstoppable.
For a "defensive mastermind" he hasn't been able to put much together on that side of the ball and he is pretty bad when it comes to the draft. Though his 2012 draft was one of his better ones.

Pats won't get rid of him. He will retire when Brady does in a few years.

Same thing happened to the Falcons. Once Michael Turner went down they couldn't run the offense as planned.

Since you seem to be so smart and know what NE needs, why don't you just drive up to Foxboro and tell Bob Kraft what he needs to do. And while you're there, why don't you just fill out the job application for the new head coaching position that will be available after you advise Bob that Belichick needs to go. Let me know how this works out for you, I'll be looking for your draft picks coming from the Patriots war room.

Good post. Since most people have the memory of a (insert insult here), the writing was on the wall quickly. NE's D was a joke before them getting Talib. Guys like that change everything. When he went down, it was pretty clear it was game over. Shocking NE's Offense didn't put up more points, to be honest, but give Baltimore a lot of credit. Heck, Baltimore easily could've been the AFC representatives last year if Lee Evans could catch a tough pass or if Cundiff can send the ballgame into OT.

The Pat's problems have nothing to do with the coach. The Pat's problem is they are always picking at the end of the round and aren't hitting on 'playmakers' as much as a team needs to remain successful. Saying Belichick needs to get could be a top 10 all time statement of stupidity. It reflects on your lack of knowledge to say something so silly. Who are they Pats gonna hire? Ray Handley? C'mon. Belichick's track record is 2nd to only guys like Landry or Lombardi. That's it.

The new england patriots have one goal. TO win the superbowl. They have not done that in how long? BTW Bill Belichick is 8-7 in his last 15 playoff games.

How many Teams have that one goal every year, to win the Super Bowl? How many Teams out of the 32 actually stand a chance at the begining of every season to be there at the end? The answer is not many. Belichick, doesn't play on offense, defense or special teams, all he does is coach the players he has available and I think he's done a very good job. How many other Teams have had the same winning percentages year in and year out, Super Bowl appearance win or not? The answer is not many. Did you put your call into Bob Kraft yet for your job interview?

Chevy you don't get my point. Belichick can't win the big game anymore. If the pats accept that then its fine. The fact he even talked about coming back is very reminescent of joe torre. You can only live on past success so long. Bill Belichick has done an amazing job with the franchise and I applaud him for his great achievements but he has not found ways to win for years. You can call it variance or bad luck but the fact of the matter is the pats are a franchise that expects to win every year. Not every team has that unrealistic expectation. NE needs to make a change and I think belichick is too comfy now to worry about winning the bowl to keep his job. Robert kraft will get rid of him in a nice way sooner than later.

Why? His biggest issue is trying to motivate one of the most talented rosters in the league, and he clearly failed this year. The Giants play hard only when they want too, not because of inspiration coming from Coughlin and that's a coaching flaw.

Firing Bellickick for "not being able to win the big game", would be dumb. San Diego did that firing Marty Shotenheimer on 2007, after 3 years of great seasons ended by though losses (on OT vs Jets on 2004, did not qualify on 2005 on a 9-7 record, and a loss to NE on last play on 2006). Chargers owner fired Marty, and got Norv Turner. San Diego still had momentum to get to the playoffs, but got worse every year. The good news is, thay have not lost a big game in a while, mostly because they have not been in one.

Marty never wins big games. That's why he isn't coaching anymore. Either way NE will continue to end the year on dissapointment with Bill. The yanks did get rid of Torre eventually and won without him afterwards. Torre was a god in new york and the yanks knew he couldn't win the big games anymore but they had to swallow there pride and wait until it was time. The pats are in the same position. Eventually bill will be gone and they may never win again without him just like they are not gonna win again with him. Its tough to keep losing big games cause it destroys your legacy. People always remember how you finished up not what you did at the beginning.

This may be one of Bellichecks better coaching jobs, this team isnt very good
