    Raiders getting Carson Palmer?

    It looks like a done deal from ESPN.

    That's a horrible move. Oakland's best play is to sign Garrard and continue to run the football and have an elusive QB. They're 4-2 and playing some good football, why change the formula now?

    Palmer is way overrated..he has been average at best since he was injured in that playoff game against Pitt years back. As a Chargers fan, I hope Oakland gave up a 1st rounder for this turd

    A first rounder are you kidding me, why would Oakland be so stupid? Seriously we only gave kolb a 2nd rounder. Just go after a less known QB- back up QB.

    garrard is in the hospital having back surgery.

    this is a great move. palmer is still an elite qb and will help them reach the playoffs for the first time in 8 years.

    Unless they were going to sign Favre, there were no Qbs in free agency. It's a desperation move for them, but it isn't a bad one. Boller wasn't going to do anything for them. At least Palmer gives them a chance.

    Palmer was elite for like a year before he was injured like 5 years ago. Since then he hasn't done shit.

    Raiders are in a desperate situation and need a veteran quarterback on the helm. Kyle Boller would be a disaster....so its a good move considering the circumstances.

    The Raiders want to win now. I like the boldness. Palmer already has a good working relationship with Hue Jackson, so there shouldn't be too much trouble in adapting to their schemes.

    Al Davis is making this deal from the grave. Figures, it's the day after his burial, too. I can't believe the Raiders are going to give up 2 first round picks for an oft-injured, weak armed, crybaby like Carson Palmer.

    palmer led the bungles to a division title 2 seasons ago. passed for nearly 4000 yds last season on an awful team. hes still elite.

    losing 1st rd pick isnt a big deal considering it would be mid rd which means their chances of drafting franchise qbs luck or barkley were nil.

    they finally have a good team and need to strike while iron is hot. they desperately need a winning season since they havent had one since 2002-3.

    I thought the awful personnel decisions would end with Al Davis.

    @crustyme

    you're delusional..Palmer is not even a top 10 qb, probably not even a top 15 qb..How many Qbs do you consider elite?

    @Crustyme

    All of Palmers passing #'s were accumulated in garbage time last year. They would be down by numerous TD's, and Palmer racked up yards on soft coverage vs uninterested defenses. He is done, and the Raiders overpayed, for an underperformer.

    Bengals are actually getting a 1st rd pick and another pick that could turn into a 1st rounder. Raiders got ripped off imo, and the Bengals got more then they ever thought they would for Palmer. Guy couldn't even be good enough with Ochocinco and T.J., now he gets "brick hands" Haywood, and D. Miles....good luck with this project Raider nation.
