    Saints - 7 @ Jaguars

    any thoughts on this play??

Road Favorites of 7- 9 points in the NFL are generally a terrible play (only winning about 65-70% of the time) but I'm still thinking about teasing this game or even playing it straight up

The jaguars had a terrible defense last year and, even though they have put up decent numbers this year, they haven't faced anybody on the same level as drew brees. New Orleans has looked fantastic since that game 1 loss... Brees is just throwing darts all over the place and the saints have scored 70 points against 2 good defenses (bears and texans)

the saints are also 14-3 on the road heading back to their superbowl winning season (6-2 last year), so they do seem to be one of the few teams that is a safe bet in situations like this

    any thoughts?

I got it at -7. They don't have to travel too far and Jacksonville isn't exactly the loudest place to play. I'm sure New Orleans isn't thrilled with the way their defense has played and will be looking to take advantage of a rookie QB. Jaguars can't get near the Qb so far this season so Brees should have time to do work.

agreed, though 2 of the 3 opponents the saints have faced have been great offensive teams

they should play much better this week

jaguars starting CB is out for this game

saints get their best receiver (Colston) and their best pass rusher (will smith) back in this game

this is a money pick for a teaser, even if the jaguars somehow keep it close, there's no way blaine gabbert can beat drew brees in a teaser

taking a QB rookie against a good defense that can bring a lot of pressure with different schemes is a very big gamble

the only real safe play in this game is putting the saints in all your teasers, I just don't see any that Blaine gabbert can beat Drew brees if the game is close late

This game will be more like NE-Miami week 1, than NE-Buf last week. Swallow the points. Jags suck, Saints roll.
