I think it's going to be a long while before the Boys make the big show. They don't appear to have the depth in all the positions that is needed to get through the season. However if this season is shortened maybe that works in their favor.

The problem with Dallas is MOST pundits that get paid to have an opinion LOVE the team. Of course, when you show up in Jerry World and get all said perks, you'd probably agree if you were in the media.

The Cowgirls have almost NO leadership. They are TOO big for their own pants. When guys, when he was on the team, like Pat Crayton, had their own talk radio show, then you KNOW hype will outlive expectations. Not dis'n Crayton, but a 4th or 5th wide out/special teamer has a show, just sayin, the egos are waaaaaaaaaaay outta hand.

Sure, Keith Brooking, in his final moments, was a nice signing - but it's DALLAS. No one is leading the team. NO ONE is keeping the team in line. NO ONE is being a leader. That's the thing with media hype. Not even a top linebacker, like Brooking, when he was good, can lead this team. Romo is definitly not that guy. Sure, on paper, Dallas is EXCELLENT, but in the NFL, it's a chorus of 11 vs 11, not 1 vs 11. That's why this team stinks year in/year out, with AMAZING players. It's that mentality that "I'M AWESOME" versus "lets just win". Even the Tuna couldn't corrale that proper - and if he can't, no one can.

When you're penciled in as 'America's Team' and play for Dallas, you're already a primadona superstar. That team NEEDS a humble leader in the worst way - but no one cares, the fans have a toss if a 6th string dime corner shows up. That's why Texan fans stink as fans. It's kinda why NY fans stink as fans, but in recent memorty, the G-men DID win a Lombardi. It took a team to win it. Dallas is all about talented individuals.

Cowgirl fans have to #1 - go away from the NorthEast, of which there are TONS of NY Yankee/Cowboy fans (bandwagon douches that didn't show up at 'the stadium, varified by me when i lived out there, when they stunk). and #2 - The Cowgirls need a leader. A humble leader. Romo lost his share when he TMZ'd himself. Romo, on any other team, is a top 15 QB. On Dallas? Crap. MAYBE top 20 - and on the fringe.

Just saying, no matter who coaches the team, no coach is BIGGER than the EGO of the talent Dallas has - and that's why they stink, overall. Just gonna say, Jax KILLED them @ home. That's a disgrace with that team. I know Wade, IMO, is one of the WORST NFL coaches to ever Head Coach the game (read: Rob Johnson decision and his work in Denver), however, playing in Dallas is unlike any other city. You have to be humble and lead to play there... But that media/groupie situation is outta control - and that's why the Cowgirls stink. This isn't the NBA regular season we are talking about - we're talking the NFL.

Cowboy fans remind me of Yankee fans... You don't see them until they are competitive. It's hilarious when I'd go out to the stadium in the early 90s on a Friday night and there was MAYBE 20k... And also, on the cusp of being a Dynasty.

Good points, just feel with a somewhat new coaching staff (new defensive coordinator) that Super Bowl talk in Dallas is premature. I do feel that Dallas is definitely going in the right direction and they'll be in the playoffs though.
