No. But the good news is that both sides are content with finding a deal as soon as possible to get this season kick started.

    This sounds promising:

Freeman: Some believe deal could come “within a matter of days”

Well ,the good news keeps getting better.

Just as I was prepared to write an item predicting that a new labor deal will be announced on June 30, our good friend Mike Freeman of CBSSports.com has reported that some of the parties in the negotiations believe an agreement could be reached “within a matter of days.”

Freeman also reports that 80 to 85 percent of the next labor deal has been negotiated, and that the entire process has become very cordial, with smiles, handshakes, and smalltalk.

“It’s going to be very difficult for this to get screwed up,” a source “with intimate knowledge of the discussions” told Freeman.

For now, I’ll stick with the June 30 prediction. And if that prediction is wrong because the date selected is a week or two too late, then I don’t wanna be right.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports labor discussions "almost blew up" Wednesday when lawyers were allowed back in the room.

It's no shocker that the attorneys were behind the momentum skidding to halt. On a positive note, though, NFLPA chief DeMaurice Smith ordered labor attorneys to "stand down," which should go over well with the owners. Talks have continued on Wednesday without lawyers. Per Schefter, there is still plenty of optimism surrounding the talks, but a deal won't realistically be finished before "early July or so."

LAWYERS SUCK...... completely uneccessary when two people can make a deal. Almost as bad as real estate agents

Elaborate on how/why real estate agents suck? I mean, I think anyone selling anything sucks but why are real estate agents enemy no.1?

Edit: I guess you just meant that they are totally unnecessary. Ah.

One of the player reps said if they do not have the deal done by early July then there will definitely not be a full season. I halfheartedly hope they don't have a season at all and then next year their stadiums are at 20% capacity and their TV revenue is down almost 50%.

That would show them who has the true power...the fans!!!

Every day they say they are having "positive" talks yet nothing comes out, no deals are made while the clock is ticking. The season will absolutely be delayed and also when they do get a deal out let it be for the next decade so this doesn't happen next year.

If the owners come out on top of all this, I'll seriously not give a shit about the league next year. I had already lost some of it last year.
