for real man. i wanted to lay this just because i figured if it's worth 52.5 points...think about it. you'd have to be an absolute lunatic, a complete and total lunatic, to lay 52.5 points in any sport where two teams are competing. i'm sure 52 point wins happen on the men's side from time to time, but usually it's in the 30s, 40s tops. 87-49 is an example of a 1 vs 16 men's score, sure looks like a beating, and it is, but that's 38 points (for example). nowhere near 52! you'd need a third half to hit 52. so all that being said, i said to myself, "no one would ever want to take -52.5, so i think i might." but i didn't, because as it turns out, i'm not insane. then i saw this thread, and i said "eff it man, LET'S DO THIS! UCONN WOMEN BY 52 AND THE HOOK!" so thanks stevenash for giving me that little boost to fall over the edge and lay the most points probably ever laid in the world.

Did any one watch it? I'm curious to know if and when the starters were pulled. Seems like 35 points and 2nd half should be the point to do so. So getting to 56-60 is quite ridiculous.

Thing is, the average margin of victory for UConn all season was about 45 points all season.
UConn's opponents all season were head and shoulders better than this St. Francis team.
After factoring in all angles, 52.5 was a bargain.

UConn covered the 53 in the St. Francis game.
UConn was -31 against a good Rutgers team and won by 36.
Then they played a better Texas team than Rutgers, a Texas team I thought may make the game interesting and crushed the Longhorns by 51 as a 33 point favorite. They dropped a 105 bomb on a solid Texas team 105-54.

Tonight it's a team I really don't know much about, and I follow the UConn women and the women's game some, (easier money to be made in beaver ball, plus I am a UConn homer)

    Anyway tonight it's Dayton.
Dayton won it's opener as a 7 seed against Iowa State.
Good win there in the 7/10 bracket.
Then Dayton SHOCKED 2 seed Kentucky, 99-94
Then they easily beat 3 sead Louisville by 18.

I thought Dayton would be 'hungover' after shocking Kentucky, and Louisville girls are more talented, but they handled that team too.
I'm starting to think Dayton is on a cinderella magic carpet ride.

Game is -33.5 total is 146

Both teams are going to run, leaning the over, that's been the trend with these two teams.
Fading UConn is never a smart idea, UConn this deep in the tourney is a license to print money, they are an ATM when it comes to games in March, however, a Dayton team that knocks off Louisville and Kentucky back to back I have to be suspicius of.

Yeah, I heard ESPN making a big deal out of 51 pts , assumed it was the line.
The 51 pt victory over Texas was the largest margin in Sweet 16 history.
Thanks for the write up Nasher, a team that likes the 3 ball with nothing to lose
    could make it interesting .

This game starts out just the way I expected.
Mother freaking track meet, raining three pointers.

    13-12 in a little over 4 minutes.
Both teams are going to need oxygen.
Blistering pace, off the charts pace.

    We've had this discussion before.
The best UConn team (probably Maya Moore's team) could not beat any orgaznied mens team.
UConn women could beat five men (college aged) in a pick up game because the women are so fundamentally sound they would and could pick and roll them to death all game, but they can not, will not beat any organized mens team.

    Women are just built different.

Over 134.5 in the Maryland game and take the +5 and the Tennessee Vols.

Tease the over with the Vols is an option also.

I had the over in the UConn game, easy winner, I thought they were not going to come close to the 33.5, but can not fade the girls in March, but that 33.5 was out of whack

UConn women 17.5 up from 15 at 9am.
I knew that was going to happen.

Total is way too high, Geno's girls are going to apply the pressure.
Huskies going to play that squeeze defense tonight.

Connecticut wins the game, well duh, not sure if it's going to be by 20.
I hate betting unders, but this one is screaming at me.

    UNDER IS 148

Notre Dame girls are not that expierenced, they are mainly underclassmen, they are good, yes, but this is bright lights, big city time.
They struggled to eke by South Carolina, they got cruashed earlier by UConn earlier, they get the full monty treatment tonight.

UConn wins the game, not laying the wood, love the under, on it for 4*

Listen to me, if you are uncomfortable betting unders, and I can relate, I don't like to either, pleass don't, but I am making an exception here.

    *side note*
Chew on this one, this is Geno's 10th championship game, he is 9 and 0 in championship title games.

Chew on this one part 2.

If UConn wins their third straight, it's a given Briana Stewart will be the MVP, it will be the first time any player has won three consecutive championships while winnning three consecutive MVP's.

I don't care if you are a male player, female player, pee-wee 8 year old player, or space alien player, if you are a three time consecutive MVP on a three time defending consecutive champion, you are an all time great.

    My homerism coming out here.
Go Huskies, get it done again girls, they win with class, they always win with class, Geno and his girls don't cry about fouls, they don't whine when things don't go their way, they don't pout when they get injured, they always play team first, even Maya Moore made the extra pass, they all do, it's all about family here in Connecticut.
