look at OSU tourny success over the last 15-20 years in basketball, not as good as Michigan State but we more than make up for that with our football success over the same period compared to Michigan State.

Buckeyes: 23-12 tourny record , 3 final fours, 6 elite eights, 1 runner up since 1999 in hoops. 2 national titles in football, 2 runner ups in football since 2002, most BCS bowl appearances than any school in the nation, more BCS bowl wins than any team in nation.... very hard to top that.

No championships for football that i can remember. The best combo was around 2006 when the Florida gators won the basketball and football championship twice.

Yeah you can argue OSU and maybe Wisconsin, talking recent success. 4 straight bowl wins (including a rose bowl two years ago) and 7 final fours since 1999 for Sparty is unbelievable. Both programs are going to be very strong next year too

Hey, they were not chopped liver! Had some good wins versus Michigan State, Iowa, and Ohio State. They shot quite a bit better at home - It's not that they could not beat a good team on a given night but live by the 3 - die by the 3.

UK littered with pros, Trice and Valentine won't be at next level.

State's just hot right now, this is what they do this time of year. They have a veteran team with a proven coach whose known for excelling during tourney time, don't forget this is the same team that lost to Minny, Illinois, and Texas Southern all at home, just saying. But come March Izzo usually has them ready.

Plenty teams got beat out that had 2 pros. Arizona, Texas, Kansas, UCLA, Gonzaga off the top of my head. Valentine will not be a pro, but Dawson and Trice should have a decent shot.

Why Trice? He's not special and Dawson is too small and not really multiskilled imo, at best D-league for both or overseas, which isn't a bad thing.
