6pm game on espnu.
i am amazed that the Pirates are still not being respected.
the team is 9-1 with the sole loss at Wichita State, a team
that has won 23 straight at home, and a formidable opponent
to anyone in this league.
after pasting the floor with South Florida, they close out this
road stint just a state over to Georgia tonight before coming
home to an easy game vs Maine then back to challenging action.
Seton Hall must know that a game like this, though early in the
season could be the one that the analysts look at when deciding
if they make the dance or not. Guard Kenny Gaines for UGA
is a significant part of their offense and although he will play,
he's probably not 100%. I think this headline about him being
likely to play is pushing the line for Georgia, but when you consider
the coach's comments: “I would say I think he will play.
We were able to get him partially back in practice, but it’s been a slow recovery.”
It doesn't sound like a guy at anywhere near perfect form.
Sunday nights are not known to be immense home court advantages.
Hall was a 125 ML this morning now they are 160.. the line was +2.5
now it's 4.5 - why ? Kenny Gaines headlines, people just following the
action, and AGAIN a disrespect or ignorance about the talent level of
this Seton Hall team - which I can understand as SH has been a perennial
inconsistent school but I've watched them closesly a few times this year
and see some special things going on with the Pirates.. they have a high
basketball IQ and don't waste time thinking about what they want to do.
The team has flow. Hopefully they can crank it up on the road tonight
and maybe after that they'll start getting some respect.
