For Buddy, Tyreke Evans, Galloway, A first a second... Gotta be one of worst ran organizations.. Had to get at least two first rounders here one would have thought.. Officially traded but pieces not official.. This according to Marc Stein Twitter

This is a horrible trade for Sacramento wtf. I know Cousins is cancer but he has to be worth more imo.

Gotta suck to get traded from one non playoff team with weak guard play to another. But the Pels are now a player away from being team of the future.

jrue holiday, AD and cousins is a great core
get a couple small pieces and they can be a solid team in the west

for the kings, easily the worst team in the league now

They had to dump him to make sure they stay in the bottom 10. Kings are great fade the rest of the way. They can't afford to win too many games, otherwise they lose their first rounder to the Bulls (top-10 protected only).

Yes, he's also a solid Center in the NBA. You like that? I like that.

Playing for the Kings would make most people a cancer...

I'll take Cousins anyway. He gives it a 100 on the floor.

cant believe this. thought if he got moved it would be to boston for the brooklyn potential #1 pick.

all sac gets is a likely non lottery pick and hield. evans is just an expiring deal and galloway sucks

not sure why cousins is considered a cancer, sure he can be a head case but if anything his teams over achieve. they have never put a halfway decent roster around him. he is not a me first guy, he just wants to win.

He has way too many negative emotions. Sacramento believes they can win without him. I also like that coach of Sacramento. Smart dude.

wont be an issue..that roster minus cousins and with gay hurt is a 10 win team over a full season.

This may have been the best deal they could get for him, considering he wasn't going to resign, their better off getting something back for him. They made out better then the Thunder did last year, losing Durant for nothing.

with the new bargaining deal Cousins wouldve stayed basically 100% he wouldve got a 200mil contract to stay with the kings or make like 120 max somewhere else, the NBA wants players to stay on their drafted teams. Any player would be a fool not to with the new agreement, hes lucky he got traded or he wouldve been stuck in Sac for the rest of his career , at least him , Jrue and AD are a solid core and could eventually challenge for some playoff pushes

    PG Jrue Holiday
    SG E'Twaun Moore
    SF Solomon Hill
    PF Anthony Davis
    C Demarcus Cousins

Not bad. And they'll trade Terrence Jones for a solid 2, maybe someone like P.J. Tucker. Solomon Hill is garbage, but he really just has to grab rebounds and play defense because he's not on the team to shoot. Decent enough bench players too. I'll be extremely interested to check up on the Pelicans' spreads and their future odds in Vegas to win the West now to see if the oddsmakers think this new look team is any good.

The Kings? Well they're complete idiots. Must be trying to clear up cap space and start all over.

Cousins and Davis is going to be fun to watch

Worth a shot for New Orleans.....NBA all about superstars and they weren't winning with that core

Cant believe SAC couldn't pull something better even considering that he will be a FA

Cousins is lazy on defense, and doesn't move over. It is way too easy to do a pick-n-roll on him.

Kings front office is a train wreck no one cares to watch.
The Kings suckered the California farmers into building a new
gym and presented a totally unwatchable ragtag outfit.

    Boogie on down to NOLA.
Looks good to me with Sacramento
left holding a bag of tomatoes.

    The Kentucky connection is alive.
I hope New Orleans succeeds as those
    folks deserve to smile.

i think if hes on a good team thatll hold him accountable and has playoff hopes hell put a lot more effort on the defensive end imo

either way hes easily top 3 most talented big man in the league right now...

Funny that the team they will most likely be the Warriors.

Could be a bad match-up v Warriors, but what is more is that funny enough, Warriors brass were on record recently saying they always want to ahead and different, that they may go big now, while everyone else is small....

Seems like they would love to have two Bigs themselves...these two bigs....

When evaluating Cousins people always focus on his lousy attitude. The bigger problem is he doesn't play a lick of defense.

Risky move by the Pelicans. Davis suggested recently he wants to stay long term ..and so they seek out the arsehole of the league to change his mind?

this is a steal for New Orleans and if the Pelicans start winning,Sacramento get's a worse pick. Cousins doesn't want to go to NO but winning will change his lousy attitude. Divac blew it here. Had to get more than this

I thought of Zach Randolph when I read about this trade. Randolph was known as a head case until he went to Memphis, and fit in great with the community and fans. Cousins is originally from Alabama, so he might fit in better just because of geography.

As far as Sacramento, they are the new 80's/90's Clippers.

Only thing the Pelicans didn't achieve here was getting rid of that toxic Omer Asik contract.

Even if they do tank and get first overall they lose their pick in a swap with the sixers.

Philly also owns the kings 2019 unprotected pick

Sixers the biggest winner in this trade

Lunker right on point here....Sixers didn't swap this years pick so have 2017 pick.

Hoping Kings for 2-23 down the stretch
