Houston Rockets vs. Milwaukee Buck // Jan 23

Jump ball

The Houston Rockets (34-14) take flight in Milwaukee to take on the Bucks (20-23). The Rockets are third in the Western Conference behind the Warriors and the Spurs, and the Bucks are near the bottom of the pack in the Eastern Conference.

Time for liftoff

The Rockets are a beast in the East and have been successful on the road as well. They are 17-8 on the road this season. Since their nine-game winning streak that continued into the new year, they haven’t won back-to-back games in seven contests.

The Rockets beat the Bucks last week 111-92. A game where James Harden did what he has been doing all season. He destroyed the Bucks defence for 38 points.

10-point buck

The good news is that the Bucks are 12-10 at home and they will get Jabari Parker back in the starting lineup tonight. The bad news is that the Bucks will need all the help they can get to snap their current five-game losing streak they are on.
Despite their slump, the Bucks are only one game out of the playoffs, behind the Chicago Bulls. Before their losing streak, the Bucks had been in a playoff spot and were 5-2 in their previous seven. Bucks fans know that it has been a frustrating season. One where there are two different versions of this team and no one knows which one will show up on a nightly basis.

The Final Breakdown
The Rockets, although they have failed to cover the spread against the Bucks in their last 3 meetings, need to get back on track to keep pace with the West. The Bucks will serve as their launch pad for tonight. Double digit win, maybe?
