    while i was sitting here eating lunch, the odds that russel would go before porzingis went from -530 to -720. so that's not a good sign if you don't want the lakers to take him.

    Sixers will end up taking Okafor then trading him for a boatload of picks. Boston already offered their two first rounders but they pick too late. Watch Okafor go to Orlando for the 5th pick and next year's #1.

    Yes, I'd say the Spurs have the edge at this point because he really respects Pop and their organization, but Aldridge does live in Orange County in the offseason, so that makes the Lakers a legit contender.

    If that happens, the Lakers should then move Randle because he'd be worth a lot more to them in a trade than he would be on the bench backing-up either one of them. Randle can't play SF and neither Love or Aldridge can play Center, so no place for Randle as a starter in that scenario.

    That said, reports from the Lakers state Randle's lost 20 pounds and his outside shot has improved. Of course, this could simply be a game of chess to increase Randle's value, especially considering he's coming off a significant injury. This isn't to say that Randle hasn't in fact improved, but I certainly wouldn't put it past the Lakers to release this info solely for market purposes.

    Either the Cousins trade goes down eventually with Randle being included, or Randle can get moved for a nice piece in return if they land Love or Aldridge. Or they just keep Randle if neither of those happen, so the Lakers have plenty of options with Randle.

    And if the Lakers take Russell, they can also move Clarkson in the same way that they could move Randle should they get Love or Aldridge.

    Existential, it sounds like we are reading/hearing the exact same things about Randle.

    I don't think the Lakers would be wise to invest all their assets in Cousins. I don't claim to be an NBA talent scout, but this guy seems to be a loser to me. Great stats, but no winning. Bad attitude. All around cancer. They don't need him, especially at such a steep price.
