    Effective Teasers

Have been on a roll the last two weeks and thought I'd share in case anyone wanted to jump on board. I play mostly teasers and tend to pick and choose my spots using open plays where I can. I try to wait for spots where one team is really rolling and the other deserves to be faded. Enjoy!
    Mil - 4.5 and Spurs -2
Derrick Favors has been ruled out for the Jazz and they have been playing terribly on the road. Jazz are not the same team without Favors and will struggle again tonight against a well rested Bucks team that plays VERY well after a loss going 15-3 ATS after a SU loss. Mixture of fading the Jazz and liking the Bucks.
Spurs are getting on a role and the Bulls just can’t pull it together. I have struggled with this all day trying to convince myself that the extra minutes being allowed to Rose and his pep talk would help, but they aren’t playing an East team here. I think the Spurs will be too much and being able to move that line down to a one possession game is too easy here.

    Mil -1.5, Spurs +1, and LAC -5 3 team 7 point tease
Mil and Spurs for reasons listed above, and the Clippers are going to be too much against a tired Brooklyn team. I’m expecting a rested Clippers team to pull away late.

Also have a parlay with straight wins that is getting set up tomorrow.
MIL -380, Spurs -245, and 2 open seats.
Setting the table for a big day with GS and Cle tomorrow. GL everyone!

Take Trail Blazers (-1.5) and Spurs vs. Bulls UNDER 203 in a 6.5 point teaser.

    4 point teasers: 0-2
    7 point teasers: 1-2

Damn.. Figures the first losing day in a week would come when I decide to make my first post.. Oh well, have to keep grinding. That $1300 from the casino last night helps sooth the pain a little. It’s going to be tough to not bet the Hawks tonight, but if they are going to win I like them to cover just as much so I won’t be throwing them into my teasers as there isn’t any added value there. I do have to state however that I have them at -4 and first half -2.. Have to play them till they lose.

So for the teasers.. Cleveland, Chicago, and the Warriors all add great value here at teased spreads.

Cleveland gets a “Hot” Charlotte team at home.. I say hot because everyone is pointing to their recent mini run. I’m not buying it though. The Teams they’ve beaten are lower Eastern teams, and I would challenge you to look at their last 20 and not reconsider their perceived strength. The number at 9.5 is tough for me though because they could get back doored here so I like it teased down to the 5.5 number. You’ll still see Cleveland playing hard late to close this out and that 4 – 7 point margin is huge in games like this. Like Cleveland to win by 8 here as they continue to play catch up for better playoff seeding and continue to gel.

Now Chicago.. that game last night I believe was somewhat of an anomally, but they have to be bursting with confidence at the moment. Bulls haven’t had many issues on the road this season (when comparing it to their home record) and Moving this line from 7 to 11 seems like taking candy from a baby as they could easily win this outright here with all their surging momentum. I’m sure everyone read Pop’s comments about the his team playing entitled ball, but the Spurs were beat last night and Chicago never took their foot off the gas. They did play their starters a little later than I would have liked for having a road trip cross country next day, but I think emotion will carry a lot into this game. Expecting a close one here and have Chicago straight up as well which I don’t do often.

The Warriors… what to say about them, they just keep winning… and covering!! Everyone is talking about the Hawks but the Warriors have been a pretty solid payout the last couple weeks. I don’t feel much needs to be said right now as this is a classic David vs. Goliath position and Goliath is doing battle in his own backyard. Look for the shooting barrage to continue and this one to get out of hand early and a 20 point game going into the 4th. GS’s bench is pretty solid and they should hold the lead but teasing it down to 11 just seems like a much easier cover than that 15 or 15.5 number floating out there.

In all, I have these mixed and matched several ways and tossed with open plays to set up the weekend and make up for last night. GL!

Will try to do so in the future. We went 3-0 on suggested tease teams. 4-0 if you include ATL.

    4 point teasers: 4-2
    7 point teasers: 1-2

Tonight I like the sixers getting +22.5 as I feel that is to many points. Also like Detroit on rest getting +1. Tomorrow is going to be a big day so best of luck tonight and lets crush it tomorrow!

Alright, so last night didn't go very well at 1-1, but today's slate is ridiculously promising with 7 point teasers. These 7 point teasers have to be in groups of 3 and are usually at a -120 price but the extra points make me feel like they are near impossible to miss. There are also a couple 4 point teaser values out there as well. Here we go!

    4 point teasers: 5-3
    7 point teasers: 1-2

First off we have the Bulls at -8. Love them straight, teased to -4, and -1 in this spot and have them in all positions. I think Chicago will dominate the Heat tonight as the emotion and play of these teams are trending in opposite directions. With this being the first game of the day it is a great anchor for these teasers.

After that we have OKC taking on Cleveland where they are getting 3.5. Now, Durant and Westbrook getting points is always good, but tease them to +10.5 and cmon… Nobody would want the other side of that. I do like them at 7.5 as well but won’t be recommending it for the 4 point tease as I feel the majority of value lies in the 10.5 number.

The Atlanta Hawks… what really needs to be said here? They just keep winning AND covering their lines and it is ridiculous! We have to think that this will end at some point here and at -18.5 points I’m just not willing to lay down all the points. Teasing them to -11.5 seems to easy here. Very easy to want to take the other side, but Minnesota is too capable of getting blown out and with all the blow outs this week combined with the Atlanta passion and drive to grow their franchise record I like ATL to come away double digit winners again.

Phoenix has only lost 4 games this year by more than 9 points.. This is a very competitive, fast paced, solid shooting team and I love the points in this spot. The fact they are fighting off OKC for 8th and at home with +9.5 make this an easy call in my opinion.

Wizards are in a good spot here, although Denver is getting Lawson back. I like Washington to play hard and finish after their lack of doing so against Portland last night. Denver is not the team Portland is and I like them in all aspects here, against the spread at -2.5, +1.5, and +4.5
GS seems pretty solid here at -11 with the 7 point tease and as long as nobody is resting should be a good spot. To afraid of GS ability to blow teams out to take the other side here.
Houston will get the win over the lowly Lakers tonight and that makes this an easy 7 point tease to -1 tonight. I do like them at -4 here as well and unless there is an injury or somebody is resting I recommend backing them on a 4 point tease as well.

    In review:
Chicago: spread, 4 point, 7 point
    OKC: 7 point

    Atlanta: 7 point
    Phoenix 7 point
Washington: spread, 4 point, 7 point
    Warriors: 7 point
    Houston: 4 point, 7 point
    My plays:

    Bulls -1, OKC +10.5, ATL -11.5
    Bulls -1, ATL -11.5, Pho +9.5
    OKC +10.5Was +4.5, GS -11
    Bulls -4 and Houston -4
If you want to have some fun with a parlay take Bulls -8, OKC bought to +4, Was -2.5, and Dal for a dark horse bought down to -2.5..
    ENJOY!!

Hit a wall Sunday so I took yesterday off.
    Sunday:
    Spread: 0-2
    4 point: 2-1
    7 point: 3-3

    YTD:

    Spread: 0-2
    4 point: 7-4
    7 point: 4-5

Today I’m going to keep it simple and get this week rolling right.
Cleveland has to much tonight for Detroit with Jennings out. Sure Augustine had a good game, but that was against Toronto… Don’t expect him to play like that again tonight and that’ll be a huge differential in points. Like Cleveland every way you can get them today.
Golden State is sure to be upset about barely beating Boston.. Crazy to think they aren’t satisfied with winning, but they will get back to dominating teams on their home court tonight. Chicago woke up Sunday playing the Heat and even with Noah they should have problems tonight. Like them teased down 4 points here to -5.5, but really like them paired with Cleveland in a 7 point teaser with the third team rounding that out to be…
Washington. What needs to be said other than the Lakers are playing terrible ball right now. They haven’t been able to crack 90 in their last two games and not expecting them to do so tonight either. Love the Wizards in the 7 point tease down to -1 and they aren’t bad on the 4 pointer at -4.
    In review,
Cleveland: spread, 4 point, 7 point
    GS: 4 point, 7 point
    Washington: 4 point, 7 point
    Personally playing:
    Cleveland -7.5 and 1H -4.5
    Cleveland -.5, GS -2.5, Was -1.5
    Cleveland -3.5 and GS -5.5

Expecting to add GS -5.5 and Was -4.5 as well.

Have these three games teased 4 points along with Memphis +9, LAL/WAS u201, TOR/IND u198.5, CHI/GS o206.5. Total plays courtesy of hardcore, which I recommend you all reference for exact numbers. The above is what I played with the tease. For his picks and recommendations I suggest you check out his thread as he has been killing it. (Oliver Queens Arrow)

Did ok last night, although GS could have made it a hell of a night if they hadn't crumbled.. oh well. Ended up having Memphis teased and had Was with Cle instead of GS so I dodged a bullet there. Totals did AMAZING! and not only did I hit the tease with those, but have a high dollar tease with some open plays now ripe for the taking. Will wait for HC to have some more confident totals before I wrap that one up.

    YTD:

    Spread: 1-2
    4 point: 9-5
    7 point: 6-6

Tonight is anchored with ATL taking down Brooklyn as I have them in the spread at -14, -10 and -9.5 (damn moving line), -6.5, and 1H -8. Good chance I play them 2H as well. Cash in while they are still making milk. The -6.5 is a no brainer here as this will not be a 10 point game.. I don't see anyone being sat for the game as ATL has plenty of rest and they are trying to increase their streak, plus Bky just doesn't care anymore.

Thunder in a 7point tease will be a solid play at -2, especially if KD plays. I don't like the -9 as the Knicks have played decent as of late. I also have Cleveland -1.5 here, however if the line keeps moving to -7 Portland would become the play. I see this being a 6-9 point game and think the line is right on the money, I just believe Cleveland has a better chance of running away then Portland winning outright. Cleveland isn’t losing at home the way LBJ and Irving are playing.
There are a few plays out there that I’m leaning, but atm this is what I feel is solid. Not a ton of opportunity left this week so a big day here can be all the difference. Best of luck!

Did very well last night.. sure ATL could have easily covered everything but hey, you win some lose some. I got lucky and bet the other side of the Cleveland game straight and teased once I heard LBJ was out to offset the wagers and got lucky and hit between them all. We won't be counting those in our tally though since they weren't posted to thread beforehand.

    YTD:
    Spread: 1-3
    4 point: 11-5
    7 point: 7-7

Today is pretty simple as the Bulls have Butler back tonight and Young is sitting for the Lakers. Have this in a 4 point teaser and part of a parlay. I feel like Orlando's woes continue and Milwaukee comes away with a win so I have this teased down to a pck. I like the Knicks, and even said yesterday that they have been playing decent as of late, at +12 I like them to keep it close with the Pacers. Keep an eye out though to see if Melo rests tonight although I don't think he will. Memphis at this time is NOT a play, although if they get Conley back it might be worth entertaining as I think Memphis is going to rattle off a few big wins here but right now we won't be counting them for my picks.

    4 point teasers:
    Chicago -5
    Mil pck
    Knicks+12

We won't be counting this but take a look at Maryland tonight. More than likely will make a play on them with 4 points.
Also, Memphis/Denver could be bet either way depending on whether Conley starts or not.

    GL!
