the Heat are completely lost without Lebron...

looks like a great draft pick for Miami in 2015..

they are 0-4, not sure how it is going to go..
but there seems to be little to play for

no chance of going deep.. i can see these guys losing focus pretty easily.
    could be sub .500 team..

same old story.. First to Worst... for the team that LBJ leaves..
and deep playoffs for the one he joins

these guys were fading anyways.. Lebron knew it.
Going back home was the right move

Lebron is totally underpaid. This is like freaky Friday. Miami is now Cleveland and Cleveland is now Miami. LOL!

It had to be done...Imagine James having to carry that team at 30 years old into this years playoffs...I can't even fathom...the moment Wiggins was drafted...the decision was made...

Miami does not look that bad on paper they should be a playoff team. Maybe they are like the 6th best team in the East.

also right call.. what a natural born GM he is..
Kobe is seriously lacking that 'team' gene that Lebron has..

people are welcomed and drawn in,..

noway a Shawn Marion would ever take a vet min. salary to join Lakers
    even in their prime..

the ego AND wallet can't BOTH take a hit.

    sounds right.. 6 seed.

hope they don't face Cleveland in the playoffs.
Heat fans might get unduly nasty (hope not)

i do hope that Heat fans do the right thing and cheer Lebron
    when they play in Miami

he did put TWO NBA Champions banners
as well as two Conference Champion banners up in the rafters
that can never be taken down.

Those will always belong to the city

Take a listen to the Colin Coherd podcast today on espn....finally somebody at ESPN had the balls to call out Kobe for his contract....He said Kobe has no business calling out the owners...as Owners are not "under collective bargaining"....the players are...and under that system...you have a choice...take the money and cripple the team or take a pay cut. Keep in mind..that it is common knowledge in NBA circles that Dirk and Duncan are being taken care of under the table now and well after they are retired...hence their willingness to take drastic pay cuts...Kobe is worth 300 million easy...and could have easily afforded to take the silent hand shake deal...and collect after he retires..but he refused...all the while chasing Dwight and Pau out of town....while loosing any chance they had at Lebron, Melo or Love next year when the TV contract is modified.. The end result is what happened against Golden State the other night...a 40 point blow out with most of the warriors starters on the bench in the 4th.....lol

lol. miami is easily the second best team in the east. you can count the bulls and cavs ahead of them for reg season but playoff ball is going to be about wade and lebron in the east. you can put the bank on that.

So the plan is to bump every thread you've made about a team being bad when they lose a game and bump every thread you've made about a team being good when they win a game?

How about waiting til we're at the All Star Break to draw conclusions?

I don't think the Heat are lost without him....obviously they are not the same team. And they will struggle when Wade is out of the lineup...like they did tonight...they will struggle when Bosh has poor shooting performances like he did tonight...when they are rolling on all cylinders so to speak...they are still a playoff team easily...wouldn't surprise me to see them beat the Cavs X Mas day...as you know they will be up for that one

The verdict isn't out yet?? Huh??

Rat Boy goes on this I hate Kobe crusade two yrs ago & then Menses "conveniently" shows UP & begins to post nothing but the same regurgitation word for word in the same exact style. They even both put two/three periods behind a sentence rather than one. Who does that??
Menses has made 1785 posts, 1783 of them have been either hating Kobe or blowing Rat Boy. When one disappears for weeks on end so does the other. When one makes a post the other comes out of the woodwork to respond to the post, usually the very next post. They are the same person 100% without a doubt & are unable to realize how pathetic & sad this is.

Lebron James going to the Cavs was bad for the NBA

The Cavs don't have the same energy as a super power that the Heat used to have, and it has nothing to do with their performance

The Heat were like the Yankees, when they came into town, you knew there was a buzz

The Cavs do not have that appeal, and unless you're from Cleveland, can really care less about them

Heat games on primetime had a better, more alive feeling

    Cavs are just meh

lol....the funny thing is you make a strong argument..I almost believe it myself..LOL....but Seto is correct...I think he can tell the difference...its one of the few issues me and ratzz do not agree on...which is Miami....I was one of the few who thought Miami's 2013 championship was rather...rigged...Ratzz did not agree...You need to come on over to the ISH boards...there are 50 different Menses and Ratzz over there....we all say the same things....lol

I agree with this...for the most part...I am a Lebron fan...but this Cavs team is missing that "IT" power Miami had...ive only seen IT one other time in my life and that was showtime when I was a kid....theres never been a buzz in the NBA and in the national media like Miami had during their run...especially the Streak....Cavs cannot possibly live up to that...

i think that buzz was maybe greater the first time for a couple of reasons..

    1) it was the first time Lebron moved

    2) the Heat were not an immediate buzz that we think we remember..
That 2010-11 Heat team was 6-4 after 10 games, then 9-8 after 17 games.
but then went on a tear and eventually finished 58-24

    that became more
pronounced as they went along.. this will take some time,
i think they will be much improved by the All-Star game

if the Cavs should win an NBA title in this or next season.. within it will pan out to work
    out for the NBA..

Miami is clearly done, it appears.. and at least 2-3 high profile teams necessary in the East ..
    Western Conference has so many.

With Wade out..Miami is finished...once again it becomes a question of how healthy can Wade remain for an entire season...James and Bosh could barely make it last year...Deng and Bosh will struggle even more. Norris Cole also out...Napier will have to step up...

They still have pretty much the same record than LeBron. And they played half the season without their best player.

Tonight playing a back to back against the best team in the East atm now that Derozan has gone down, in a revenge game.

Heat are just fine. I get that you're going to bump this thread everytime they have a bad loss though so knock yourself out

Cavs will finish with a better record than the Heat..
    Granger their best player?.. nahh..

there are too many pieces to pick.. Lebron could only do so much

as it is.. Wade missed 28 games last year (resting for playoffs)
and he was still pooped by the Finals

don't get me wrong.. they are cool guys. all of them.
no beef. but Bosh and Wade will never sniff the Finals again minus Lebron

Yes they probably will have a better record. What does that actually mean in the big picture though? It's not like anyone is saying the Heat are a top 2 seed or whatever. They're just a team that will get in somewhere between 3 and 6 (probably 4 or 5) and be a dangerous out in the playoffs. That's all. Let's not act like the Bulls and Cavs are unbeatable superpowers. Both of those teams would get pummelled by any of the 8 West playoff teams in a series. The reality is that the top 5 teams in the East, in a playoff scenario, are pretty evenly matched or at least that's my opinion.

You make it sound like they're bottom feeders or something. You think they're gonna miss the playoffs or something? lol.

I assume you're being sacrastic with Granger, at least I hope for you that you are. I forgot he was even on that team at all.

Exactly, Wade was resting. He won't be resting this year. Remember Wade hasn't had an actual knee injury in a while. The last 2 times he's missed time for an actual injury have just been a pulled hamstring. All that time off last year might come in handy for his knees now. Until he actually goes down you can't bank on it it's not like he's Rose or something. Dude has been averaging 20 5 and 5 a game on over 50% (which you should appreciate since you're so enamoured with shooting percentages) for the last 3 years. So he's missed 5 games here and there. He's still an elite player in this league and has been much healthier than some people make him out to be.
