Very rare Coach K. produces NBA ready players.
Calhoun did all the time, looks like Ollie is doing it too in year two.

If I was a NBA GM, I'd think long and hard before signing a Duke player.

You said he's not athletic when he has a 40+ inch vertical. I'd say at the very least, he can be Rudy Gay with his shit max contract. They both shoot about the same from deep, though college is different from the pros. Summer league doesn't mean shit, it's basically a YMCA scrimmage for most. Those fighting for a roster spot bring it while those with guaranteed money don't. Wiggins is 19, give him some time. Not gonna call him an all-star or a future HOFer but he's got the tools to make it in the NBA.

you seriously bringing up stats from the summer league? Have summer league stats ever meant anything, I can't remember the last time someone said. Boy that person is dominating in summer league, its going to carry over towards the season! What they probably would say, is oh who cares. He is playing vs. a bunch of d-league scrubs. Which is why it pays for these guys not to play all out, sure if you are a borderline player trying to prove something to your coaches. But to most of these nba rookies its just getting the chemistry down with some of their new team-mates.

His numbers in summer league are the same as Durant's was and slightly better than Kobe and Lebron.

Not sure how you can make such claims based on 3 games???

Durant dominated college....Wiggins not so much...

His vertical is not 40" +, not a real one at least.
    Probably around 34.5" - 36"

Most notably, the News Herald reports that LeBron James wants Love on the team which precipated the decision to put Wiggins on the table.
Up until this point, it was assumed the Cavs wanted to hang onto Wiggins, largely because of comments made by Coach David Blatt.
However, a source said James wants the 6-10, 250-pound Love on the roster.
And, what James wants, he normally gets.

Does that include the games Charlotte and Toronto forfeited because they did not want to play for fear of getting embarrassed?

I love Waiters but, lol, not a HOFer... Wiggins is gonna be one though, maybe not for Minny, but if he stays on the Cavs with LeBron he will be. I agree that LeBron is calling this shot. Interestingly enough the poll on ESPN (Would you trade Wiggins for Love?), most people said "No".

No they forfeit because they don't wanna go to Cleveland. My model includes many factors.

My model shows that Ian Hunter (Mott the Hoople) was always the man, and my model also shows that CLEVELAND ROCKS.

17, 5, and 5 last season. Guy is on his way to becoming an elite perimeter defender. Plus, it would give them the flexibility of essentially having 3 Pg's on the floor at once. Guy is a stud.

this is what I hope happens, I want Love badly, but not if we gotta give up Wiggins. Ill give up waiters or Thompson (or both) and as many draft picks as we need to, but I want Wiggins on the team badly

stax what kind of upside do you think for Wiggins who in the league do you think he can become? I didn't know love was only 25 seems like a decade ago he was at ucla and I don't catch many T wolves games out here but 20 and 12 big like Love looks pretty good if they keep wiggins with that 3 that just isn't fair could be come big 4

Wiggins' max potential? LeBron James... a little less explosive and powerful though... I think under the perfect scenario (which he is in with the Cavs), he could be a top 10 player in NBA history. gets to learn from the best (LeBron). I think at worst he is a healthy Rudy Gay... which aint bad. He will never be 260 lbs of beastness, but he will be 230-235 at 6'9. He cannot finish as good as LeBron at the rim and probably never will, but I think he will end up being a better outside shot, and probably a better defender overall.

If you wanna compare him to someone in between LeBron and Gay, I'd go with K. Leonard from San Antonio

Starting to look more and more like Cavs cannot get Love without trading Wiggins. They have a choice to make regarding doing what's best to win NOW vs. doing what gives them brighter future. If they feel they are good enough right now without Love, they may get best of both worlds.
