Then again we're not taking about a knee injury.

Cavs reportedly just scheduled a workout with Exum upon hearing this news.

Retard quotes "breaking news" as if I ever used that term.

    Retard clearly can't read.

    Retard fails again.

    Deemer is such a wannabe.

Kid never mentioned this injury once in the past week and now he's acting like he had inside info with the Cavs all along.

    Kid is a loser.

Kid seems always hurt. Plus, centers are just not the same importance as they once were. Cavs are nuts if they don't take Wiggins.

If he can stay healthy, he will be special. But that is a big "IF."

Doesn't it depend on the spot? Someone is going to draft him of course, and I suspect it'll still be in top 3.

with the amount of talent in the draft I think he definitely drops out of the top 3 and maybe even out of the top 5 depending on the additional information that comes out. Their is simply too much talent in this draft to take a risk with a player like Embiid instead of taking a safer pick

This might be worse news for Philly than for Cleveland. They were gonna get Wiggins or Parker. Now they could be in a real tough spot.

Yeah, I still kind of agree. You gotta take the risk. Philly doesn't really need a PG anyway, but they could use a big man. Then they can address another need at 10. Pair Embiid with Noel and if they can manage to stay healthy they can be a scary front.

Hope cavs still remember what kind of bust anthony bennett turned out to be. Play it safe and go for wiggins or parker. Embiid is hit or miss and kinda reeks of yet another bust.

I don't see the analogy. Embiid definitely doesn't suck like Bennett. His problem is health. So it would be more like remember Greg Oden.

Now seeing projections for Embiid to go 10th. Not buying that for one second.

No chance. I don't see him slipping past 6. He's worth the risk.

I agree. Different year, I know, but Noel went 5th (or was it 6th) with his injury, and Embiid's ceiling is way higher.

Exactly. Noel went sixth, was out for the entire season, and he isn't anywhere close to the talent of Embid.

Yep. Embiid is in a whole other class compared to Noel.

This could end up being a blessing in disguise for the Sixers. Embiid likely would've gone #1 if he hadnt injured his foot. Now the Sixers can take him. I hear 90% of athletes recover fully from the type of stress fracture Embiid suffered. He'll likely be out for most of this season but if he recovers fully we'd have Embiid/Noel/Thad/MCW and could draft a 2-guard at #10 where there's plenty of good prospects. Need to surround those guys with good shooters but the defense/rebounding would be squared away for a long long time with those 4.

I think Embid would be a great fit. Sixers interior defense would be really good with a frontline of Embid and Noel. They still need some help at the SG/SF position though. I expect them to look at wing players with their 10th pick.

Anyone hear any last second rumors/projections for the draft tonight? I keep hearing this Exum kid to the Sixers at #3 and I don't know how I feel about that. Honestly would much rather take a flyer on Embiid at #3 but I guess if the Sixers pass him up I just have to trust in Hinkie and roll with it...

From everything I've been hearing, Parker goes 1 to Cleve, Wiggins goes 2 to Milw, then the fun starts, I've seen the Sixers linked to either Exum or Embiid. Who Philly takes will then determine the next four or five picks.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski, If the Sixers don't take Embiid at three, either the Celtics take him at six, or the lakers at seven. The last time I remember being this excited for a draft was the Lebron, Wade, Melo draft. This might be the deepest draft in NBA history. There will be guys drafted in the twenties that could be impact players.

Other than Wiggins and Parker, no one else should be drafted ahead of Embid.

Embiid out for another season. You would have thought that the Blazers had drafted this center with his injury problems.
