The latest chapter in the What Russell Westbrook Thinks About Kevin Durant saga came, intentionally or not, on Sunday when Westbrook was recorded by his own team's social media channel seemingly yelling "Thank you Kyrie", a shout the internet immediately took to refer to Irving's game-winner over the Warriors.
With the Warriors loss, that of course means that Westbrook's former teammate turned possible sworn enemy Kevin Durant lost on Christmas.
Westbrook, since Durant decided to go to Golden State, has said a number of things that can be interpreted as being anti-Durant and he once filmed this ad, to the song Do What I Want.
It sounds like Westbrook says "Thank you Kyrie!" That's Kyrie Irving, the guy who hit the game-winning shot to lift the Cavs to a 109-108 victory over the Warriors on Sunday afternoon. And who plays for the Warriors again? Kevin Durant does!
But Westbrook says that's not the case. He clarified he was referencing the daughter of Thunder trainer Joe Sharpe when he said "Thank you Jayme."
