Less than two weeks ago, John Calipari's Kentucky Wildcats did not have a single player committed to the program in their 2017 class.

Since then, the Cats added two five-star prospects in Nick Richards and P.J. Washington, followed by top-50 combo guard Shai Alexander in the early signing period. As it turns out, Coach Cal had one final trick up his sleeve.

Five-star guard Quade Green, who signed his national letter-of-intent in the early signing period that ended earlier this week, held off announcing his decision for the suspense. In an announcement on Saturday evening, he picked the Wildcats over Syracuse.

Green also held scholarship offers from Arizona, Duke, Kansas and Villanova.

With the commitment of Green, Kentucky now vaults into the No. 1 spot in the 2017 recruiting class and Calipari has his point guard of the future.
