Good Luck on the matchups Snowball, I see the opportunity there but just haven't seen the entry point for me yet. I'm watching closely.

I like Finau (-135) over Gomez (+115) for a few reasons, but haven't pulled the trigger.

    Short Description
    Golf - 7313 J. Spieth -215 for Game
    Golf - 7323 D. Berger -156 for Game
    Golf - 7328 H. Matsuyama -160 for Game

    Spieth vs. Hoffman

    Berger vs. J Herman

    Matsuyama vs Dufner.

I think Berger could be a weak link here. A win pays about 2.9 to 1.

    Good Luck.

Sitting on Justin Thomas to win it all at +110.

Matsuyama could be the spoiler. I don't see anyone else coming through for the win.

    Good Luck.

It's not going to be an easy year for Mackenzie Hughes. When he does make the cut, he's going to be worn out come Sundays. The (-130) price isn't exactly a great value, but I think the winning bet is meant to be a bit unpalatable.

I picked up Jhonattan Vegas (-130) over Mackenzie Hughes for round 4.

    Good Luck.

Well this play was a disaster.

At least a profit was earned for this tournament.

And the same can be said for Snowball.

    Good Work.

Here are a couple sites I will get ideas from. Steve Bamford also likes Jimmy Walker.
I see a match option we can choose to take him vs Casey or Snedeker. Casey
is lined up as a slightly bigger favorite against him than Snedeker is.
Walker's recent course comments in this link.(steve bamford's also)
This guy Mike is also worth checking out, he's got a soundcloud feed this season (audio), although
it looks like he's focused on Euro golf this week.

Not saying we go with their picks but when ideas gel, then you know it could be a good bet.

    Sony Open
    Jimmy Walker vs. Brandt Snedeker

Thanks Snowball, that's a wonderful link. Good luck! As bad as I hate to go against Maysuyama (made good $$ with him lately, but his course history here is terrible) I am also going with Spieth-120 vs Matsuyama Tournament Matchup.

I'm trying to put myself in a position to win come Sunday afternoon.

I'll start with Spieth +550 and the FIELD bet at Heritage. I have a couple of angles working, notably some opening lines and their recent history. There's been a similar situation earlier this golf season (end of last year) whereby the 16-1 (favorite) openers were involved. This resulted in Mackenzie Hughes winning as a long shot, not the favorite of 16-1.

I believe, this time, the 5-1 favorite will be the result, providing balance in the marketplace. Should this play not be patient enough, the slightly shortened odds on the FIELD bet represents insurance. In fact, it's the slightly shortened odds, combined with the short Spieth odds, that help direct the play.

This may make little sense to some, but if I can continue to post on the PGA, I will offer more explanation and we can see where the market takes us, including how to construct a line.

Perhaps a few learning experiences for all of us will come.

    Short Description
Golf Futures - 2017 Golf Events - PGA - Sony Open in Hawaii - Odds to win the Sony Open In Hawaii 2017 - Spieth, Jordan +550
Golf Futures - 2017 Golf Events - PGA - Sony Open in Hawaii - Odds to win the Sony Open In Hawaii 2017 - Field (any other player) +450

    Good Luck.

maybe he will be around in the real golf season, razzer. or you could look around other places maybe he uses the same handle.

anyway, Jimmy Walker is sick, according to the Golf Channel, which
is why his first round blew chunks.

    Bol in here,
We have three courses in use this week – La Quinta CC, PGA West, and the Stadium Course at TPC West. Players will play each course once over the first three days, then there will be a 54-hole cut, and the remaining players get another crack at the Stadium course on Sunday. These courses ranked in the top-10 easiest courses on last year's PGA Tour, with PGA West the easiest. Scoring averages were 69.1, 68.9, and 70.9, respectively last year. Since this rotation was only used last season, there's really just one year of "ideal" course history to draw upon; however, La Quinta has been a host course for a long time. These are all par-72 courses, so we get a few more scoring opportunities on the additional par-5s. Also, we're faced with bermuda greens, the surfaces that often have the highest splits amongst Tour players.

I think Lefty was good shot pre tournament, good pick.

Lefty trying to get in position here. From a market perspective it seems the biggest threat to Lefty is Haas doing well. I think it will be tough for both to rank high in this tournament. I actually have Haas and Lefty each to win the first round. I bought it late but no time to explain so I didn't post it.

Good Luck here. I am watching Haas and Lefty close as gauges and will make mid round plays accordingly.

I hope you hit with Lefty.
