As I promised in a few other threads, I am going to post the Predicteform analysis of each of the races. Please hold off from POSTING ANYTHING until I have all the races up, which I'll do tonight and early tomorrow. On race day I will post their summary page which I believe just lists the horses they prefer. Feel free to post away after the Classic Race is up. I'd prefer the haters go elsewhere though- don't be negative ON THE BEST DAY OF RACING each year. Go bother others please. I'm posting with the hope that this additional info will lead to a better gambling day for everyone........

Some general comments first........This software is rather new to me too, as I've only been working with it for a few weeks. It's purpose is not necessarily to pick a winner or contenders (which it does anyway), but to predict who's in top form and/or showing positive signs of rounding into top form. Each race has an easy to view summary of information page, which I'm going to list below. I will also list the "key", which will help you understand some of the abbreviations, codes, details, etc. It's not necessarily easy to digest without working with it some but people with some general racing form knowledge will find it pretty easy to comprehend.

Lastly, I paid for just the Breeders Cup races which I'll happily share with my gambling comrades here at SBR. As I studied up, I was analyzing some of their free days (Santa Anita last w/e). They have good and bad days, as we all do but I reviewed Sunday's analysis and here's what I cam eup with:

1. In 7 of 9 races, they had each race winner in their top 3 picks!

2. One of the races they picked on top a $62 horse THAT WON!

3. In one race that they went 6 deep (with horses they liked), if u bet a $1 tri box, it paid $700+ on a $120 wager.

There were plenty of exacta's too. A very impressive day.

Who is Predicteform?

Legendary professional horse player Cary Fotias developed a unique perspective on a horse’s ability during a period of 10 years, analyzing well over 100,000 races. What made his perspective unusual was he believed a horse’s future success was not based purely on speed (and correlating time of race), rather how the horse has used its energy and whether the horse was likely to improve or regress moving forward. While his advanced mathematical algorithms that were utilized and displayed on his site, Equiform.com, for the last 15 years were cutting edge, his final figures were manually created and not available on a frequent or consistent basis… until now.

Over the six months from August of 2013 to the launch of Predicteform.com in early 2014, the technology team from PredictionMachine.com has automated this previously manual process, while also fine tuning the algorithm and math for the website that is now called Predicteform.com.

What is Predicteform?

Predicteform.com Pace Figures will tell you if a horse is likely to get better or worse in its next start. The Predicteform.com Pace Figures are not just a single final speed number but rather a series of numbers (final time, four furlong, six furlong and two furlong) that are incredibly powerful in identifying the Form Cycle Patterns of a horse. It is the relationship between these numbers that creates clear patterns to provide an advantage in predicting what your horse will do in its next race.

The Predicteform.com engine produces its proprietary Pace Figures which are a set of numbers at key points in a horse’s race – including the important relationship between Pace Figures at four furlongs and the finish.While Pace Figures are very important, it is the easily-digestible Form Cycle Patterns where a newcomers eyes should focus.

Predicteform.com Legend

The Legend helps to explain how best to read the Predicteform.com Pace Figures. An abbreviated version of this can be found on all Pace Figure pages, which are delineated into Track and Day combinations. Races are listed in post order and data, which updates twice daily, and is as complete as is currently available.

Race Information
The top section of each race will include the Race Number, Race Conditions (including distance, surface, type, etc.) and Available Wagers.

Horse Information
In bold is the name of each horse. Below that is its Program Number, Post Position, the Jockey Weight and Days Since Last Race. Also included graphically is an indication of Blinkers On or Off and if the horse has Lasix for this race.

Pace Information
To the right of the horse information is its Predicteform Pace Figure information for its last 12 races. The most recent race for each horse is listed first (from left to right). For each horse in each previous race, up to 11 lines are displayed. The first five lines pertain specifically to pace, while the other six lines identify race information for that day. The three most important lines for evaluating current horse form and condition are listed first – Final Pace Figure, Four Furlong Pace Figure and Pattern.

Bolded Results - Race was a mile or greater in length
w - Next to Final Pace Figure signifes that the horse won this race
^ - Next to DIRT indicates an All-Weather/Synthetic surface
* - Next to final figure means the minimum # of races needed to qualify as a par time with 95% confidence was not met. Proceed with some level of caution. Read more about ithere.

Special Track Notations
AQU** - Aqueduct Inner Dirt (dirt surface in use from Thanksgiving through Wood Memorial)

Special Distance Notation
8" - one mile and 70 yards

Horse Classifications (Value Play View)

Top Contender - The horse most likely to win the race.

Fringe Contender(s) - Any horse projected to finish within a length of the top contender in the most likely outcome of the race.

Too Slow - A horse that should not be considered likely to contend (in testing, these horses only win about 6% of the time despite being most common classification).

Breakout - Any horse that is not a Top or Fringe Contender, yet is expected to improve significantly from previous races based on pace and form. These are generally undervalued horses.

Regressor - The opposite of a Breakout runner, Regressors are often overvalued as they are expected to take noticeable steps back from previous races based on form and pace.

Average - The catch-all classification for any remaining horse, Average runners are not expected to win, break out or regress, but could be in the mix for contention.

Each Pace Figure represents the velocity pace of the horse's run through the listed distance. Six furlong Pace Figures will only appear for races that are longer than six furlongs. A two furlong number only appears for dirt sprints (which are races less than a mile in length) and measures the velocity of the horse through the first quarter mile.

Track, surface, race length and condition are not only important for understanding general context of the race, but in understanding that Pace Figures are “normalized” to par times, which take into account performance of all horses in like races that day.

After years of research, Equiform/Predicteform founder Cary Fotias concluded that the 4F (four furlong) pace number is the most useful to use in conjunction with the final number to evaluate condition. For that reason, these two numbers are at the top as this is where most attention should be focused. As you get more comfortable reading Pace Figures, you will realize that 90% of your decisions will revolve around the interplay and patterns inherent in these two numbers. All the other data is used to build on this foundation.

It's best to print out the above key so you have it right in front of you when reviewing each race page. Remember, on race day when I have odds and can enter them, they do further analysis looking for VALUE in the horses too- a very helpful tool.

OK, so everything is now posted for your viewing enjoyment. You will notice Saturday's postings include the correct post position and morning line odds of each horse. When the analysis was done, this changed their picks a bit in some of the races (because it takes both factors into account). When I post the final anaylsis the morning of the races, everything will be updated with scratches, current odds if available, etc. to give you 1 final listing if you don't feel like skimming thru each race. Figure they'll be up around 10AM-11AM on Friday and Saturday morning for that days races. There are also a few early non breeders cup races on Saturday which I'll have picks for too, I just didn't included those details on those races.

Lastly, regarding foreign imports- they have no way of incorporating those horses races from out of the country i.e. speed ratings, track conditions, etc. so you are ON YOUR OWN regarding them. This info is just for U.S. based horses, unless foreigners have some history running on U.S. based tracks. There are some good horses coming too, i.e. Hit It A Bomb in the Juvenile Turf, Alice Springs in the Juvenile Fillies Turf, etc., etc. so be aware they must be included if you like them too.

I may or may not post my tickets, time depending. I'm planning on listing them, but I always seem to run out of time but I will if I can. I'll at the least put up any Pick 4/5/6's that I may do on both days.

This will be my last post until Friday morning and there will be one more change......as I continue to work thru the website, I've noticed you can rate the horses each race by a number of factors i.e. value, top race time at distance, best time per last race or highest 4F time recently- among others. These all make some sense to list, as they are all relevant and can help you make some decisions. So, Friday and Sat I will include each of these categories also, listing the top 6 horses in each.

Obviously, when you just look at value, the higher price horses are going to be listed high. But I also want to know who's the fastest lately at the distance or best lifetime......my new chart will have this info too.

Lastly, it appears the two biggest favorites of all the races are in Race 10 and Race 11 on Saturday, the last 2 races. Because of this, my new plan is to bet a lot more on Friday and early Sat and not concentrate on the late Sat. Pick 4/5 like I normally do. You guys should consider that too......check back Friday morning for the chart. Good luck to all!

So, after reviewing everything, it doesn't make much sense just to do a summary page as EVERYTHING I was going to list is on each page already. But I'll review with everyone what to specifically look for to help you handicap. It's actually only 3 numbers that are key:

1. Towards the bottom of each race page I previously listed, you'll see a horizontal listing named "Value Plays". The best 4 horses are listed, this is the proprietory info you should key on. It's not about who will win but who offers the best chance to run well with some added $$$$ value to the pick.

2. Average Final: This shows the a numerical number averaging out the final times. This is the 2nd key number to the formula.

3. Average 4F: This is the average 4 furlong speed number, similar to the above number but for just the 1st 4F of the races. The 3rd most important number.

Nothing more is needed.....compare the above information, and you'll be way ahead of most of us. Remember, foreign horses are not in the chart, but they need to be considered ESPECIALLY IN ALL TURF RACES.
