Hey har.. Noticed you haven't been in here as much. Never tried capping on the beach but then again it's your livelihood and you spend more time there than I do. So I guess in the fall you'll be more active again. Just chilling with my free time with a few trips to the shore every once in a while. Far as capping been pretty cold last couple of weeks after starting off both big meets pretty well. Looking forward to Belmont as I've seen enough of Saratoga that's for sure lol.. Haven't looked at harness tracks in a while but if you put up a Mohawk pp link I'll take a peak.. 700k and. 20 increments.. sounds interesting

And I thought you were serious, since I don't really follow Saratoga, thought it was some kind of mafia related.

Mohawk and Woodbine PP's for free every day they race.
    http://www.woodbineentertainment.com...mDownload.aspx

That link is the Mohawk PP's only. Once they switch back to Woodbine you'll need the Woodbine page to get Woodbine harness PP's, again for free.

    Good luck.

    Saratoga

    Race 2
Think 1-Hi Speed Chase 10-1 and 6-Alexndeed 5-1 are the speed and will dictate the race.Could see them running 1-2 around the track with the Pletcher dropper 2-Marsh Creek 2-1 trying to run them down.Hi Speed Chase comes from a long layoff after setting fast paces against tougher fields and much further. Will be fresh and probably keyed up.Alexndeed ran a winning race last out at this level/distance and just got headed.Ireland's Eye comes out of a turf sprint and adds blinkers so maybe he is up on the pace too but his turf race was so much better than his dirt race has me guessing he wants turf.Terranova has excellent stats turf to dirt though.Trickiest read in the race and scary.

    6-Alexndeed
    1-Hi Speed Chase
    2-Marsh Creek

    Race 3
Really like 4-Flying Tipat 8-1 here.Ran an excellent race in only start rallying into a slow pace while just missing by less than a length.Any improvement will give her a good shot to win.Plus is bred to be a good one being a full sister to Tapitsfly .2-Sunday Sonnet 4-1 lays over the field with her two races but they were on dirt.If she runs that well or better 1st time turf the rest are in trouble.1-Ancient Goddess 4-1 is the wildcard making first start in America. The clue to her ability is that Soumillion rode her for her two starts while in France. He may be in the argument for best jock in the world and only climbs on good horses.

    4-Flying Tipat 8-1
    2-Sunday Sonnet 4-1
    1-Ancient Goddess 4-1

    Race 4
This is the race where we might have a single in 1-Beyond Empire 8-5.There is another short price in here too at 9-5 but that one has not run a race to justify that price vs the 1.Does have a pace advantage though and Castellano up which is always scary if you're trying to beat him/her.The wildcard is 3-Gridley Here 6-1 making first dirt start after 5 on turf.If doing the A-B-C method of playing the Pick 5 I would go with the 1 singled on 80% of my tickets and the 3 on 20% but this is the race to single.

    1-Beyond Empire 8-5
    3-Gridley Here 6-1

    Race 5
You are going to have to use as many as your bankroll allows this race , 2 year old NY bred MSWs in a turf sprint.Of course when I spend 100s going ALL the favorite is going to win.To try and separate it somewhat I'll go by the breeding.Freud was a pretty good turf sprinter himself and his babies have carried on the turf gene.He is in the conversation for best sire if you want a turf horse bred in NY.10-Hot Like Hepburn 3-1 , 6-Perfect Freud 7-2 , and 5-Jessica's Ride 15-1 are all by Freud. Then we have 7-First Charmer 5-1 , 4-In Spite Of Momma 4-1 , and 3-Forma's Joy 20-1 by Smart Strike , Speightstown , and Kitten's Joy who are also capable. The first one I would toss is the 1 who beside having the rail for debut is by Majestic Warrior and he has been terrible with turf runners. It is G Weaver though and he has been hot.Plenty of AEs too so a scratch or two and would have to rethink everything.

    7-First Charmer 5-1
    4-In Spite Of Momma 4-1
    5-Jessica's Ride 15-1
    10-Hot Like Hepburn 3-1
    6-Perfect Freud 7-2
    3-Forma's Joy 20-1

    Race 6
Violette is the best unknown debut trainer in NY.He is pretty close to Pletcher and Brown and maybe better in state breds and md claimers. He has 8-Club O R 5-1 but probably goess off half that.It sure would hurt to get all the way here and lose because you singled but he would be it.Throw her out and you can make a case for any of the 8 others minus maybe the Finger Lakes horse #3.

    8-Club O R 5-1
    2-Laura's Patriot 4-1
    9-Ms Eileen 10-1
    1-She's Roman 3-1

.50 cent base would cost $180 using ALL in the 5th
    $108 using the 6 listed
$45 using ALL in the 5th and singling the 8 in the 6th

As for the rest of the card

    Race 7
The two favorites are legit.Console ran huge last out and Maker just taking the money because the horse is protected. He could be running in tougher races. If there is an upside horse it's 4-Stormy Rocit 5-1 , Weaver has had for 2 troubled starts. One of which he won anyway. Not on par with Console or Isn'tlovejustgrands last but it wasn't far off so if that was his B or C race and A race might get him in the picture.Maybe play against the 1 who is going to have to have things go just right from the rail.7-Fast Time 8-1 comes out of a claimer as does the 4 but it classes up OK with this race.

    4-Stormy Rocit 5-1
    6-Console 1-1
    7-Fast Time 8-1

    Race 8
    As noted here

Rubley has the 2/2B entry here at 6-1 and Serpa is up again to ride.Plus in this case the 2B actually matches up well against the field unlike the horse the other day who looked like an outsider pre race. The favorite might want more ground than this but 2nd choice 7-Sayler's Creek 7-2 could be tough if bringing PA form up here.A bomb I want to throw in is 3-Pernicious 20-1 who finally got Anchor Borel off his back and proceeded to run the best race of his career. He ran sneaky big too which projects to an improvement which he would surely need to compete here .B Hernandez not too great either but he is the go to jock for Wilkes so maybe that is worth noting as he doesn't get many mounts at Spa.Would have to use most if not ALL in horizontals.

    2/2B Entry 6-1
    7-Sayler's Creek 7-2
    3-Pernicious 20-1

    Race 9
Think this one is between 7-Let's Go Ben 15-1 , 9-Pirate's Pleasure 10-1 , and 10-Ziptronic 8-5.Ziptronic may be too good but Pirate's Pleasure ran big first time with M Nevin on a good course.Maybe a firm ground moves up a bit.Let's Go Ben comes out of that same race and ran better while on a fast pace.

    7-Let's Go Ben 15-1
    9-Pirate's Pleasure 10-1
    10-Ziptronic 8-5

    Race 10
It's a shame the favorites look so strong. There are some good looking long shots.4-Shylock 20-1 is very sneaky because DiPrima doesn't win much but when he does it's usually either 2nd off the layoff , on turf , in a route.8-Dynamon 12-1 is just the kind of horse E Prado wins on.IMO he is still a very good turf route rider.3-Carson's Ten 15-1 drops from MSW for pretty sharp K O'Connell. She brings up a jock she uses with great success. Will pick one of the short prices and throw him in with the bombs.

    4-Shylock 20-1
    8-Dynamon 12-1
    3-Carson's Ten 15-1

4th--#2 with Castellano up is a toss for me as this is a 7 year old coming back in 6 days, if he beats me he beats me I would rather get some coverage somewhere else.

hey mike.. just curious if flying tipat's timeform is comparable to the others who've already run on the turf. in the beyers she's 10 pts lower than the 3 and 6 and 16 pts lower than the 5 . I'm guessing it's closer due to the slow pace she closed into. Also understand she was routing while other 3 exited sprints

She is right in the ballpark with everyone except the 2 who got her figs on dirt.If you project for natural 2nd start improvement and then her pace figs from the first race she would have the top turf projection in the field.Of course the 2 question marks are does the 2 run the same race transferred to turf and does the 1 jump forward 1st lasix , 1st route , and 1st in the US

Yes I understand the 1 and 2 are live here.. Just wanted to know that the gap between the ones who have already run on the turf here is smaller with timeform than beyer.. thanks

    Saratoga

    Race 1
7-Epsilon 5-1 - May go off favored. Is a half to Alpha and from a young sire who is on my radar Desert Party. He and Regal Ransom were Godolphin's 1-2 punch in 2009-2010.Has the look just like Imperia did and that one couldn't have been more impressive in running 2nd.
2-Andalusite 12-1 - D Donk has his horses firing all meet ITM 15 of 25 times including 6 winners.Breeding is there 1/2 to a couple turf winners with dam only dropping 3 foals and one did pretty good winning a grade 3.
3-Firespike 5-2 - Obvious horse made the lead in the stretch too early last race and got run down by 2 promising juveniles.Figs not that great so can't argue playing against.
5-Sierra Delta 15-1 - Would be the horse to throw in if tossing the 3.DW Lukas looks like he is not having a good meet on the surface but his horses are mostly running well. They just aren't winning because it's tough at Saratoga.Expect him to go back to Kentucky in the fall and clean up with horses that last ran at Spa.
    Race 2
2-Escalate 10-1 - Don't get the ML.This guy has dirt sprinters everywhere in his pedigree and is by precocious young sire Eskendereya.Asmussen is very capable with a firster and he rarely works his horses fast so the slow works mean nothing.
3-Easy Comparison 15-1 - Going to go out on a limb and guess he jumps forward a lot on dirt this time after doing no running in his debut on turf. Was working lights out at Delaware on dirt which I presume caused G Motion to bring him up here but tried turf.
    Race 3
5-Mshawish 2-1 - Has races that could lap this field , one of which 4 back at Meydan when winning a G2.Don't know what happened last time ,maybe just needed the race, but if you toss that one he should be 1-9 vs the easiest field by far he has ever seen on turf.
3-Set The Sail 6-1 - The 5 probably gets bet and makes playing vertically not worth it but this horse is next in line for me. Bridgemohan gets the best out of this horse noting he has been up for 3 of the horses 4 wins and finishing 1st or 2nd in five of the six times he has ridden him.
    Race 4
5-El Kabeir 5-2 - Second choice on the ML could be my second single in a row turning the Pick 5 into a Pick 3.Ran very fast in only start so far that is much faster than anyone except the favorite.Quite a bit faster than even him though and pace figs indicate he should like 7fs even more than the 5f race he has run.Don't have any good bombs here.My next 2 would be the Pletcher 2nd time starter and the McLaughlin 1ster who are 1st and 3rd on the ML.
    Race 5
4-Wise Dan 3-5 - Umm I guess the Pick 5 is a Daily Double. The public perception is Wise Dan lost a step and I'm not sure about that.If anything it's more like 1/2 step and if he even brings his b+ race he wins. There are several who are within range if in fact he isn't what he once was like Sayaad , Bio Pro , and the best value 10-Sky Blazer 15-1 who should be absolutely flying the last furlong in the shortest race he has seen in a while.
    Race 6
Finally a wide open race.Like a lot of horses so need to wait to see scratches and changes and then rehandicap.11-Non Stop 8-1 should love the distance finally getting to run it for the first time on dirt. The last time he ran it on turf he won by 7 lengths.Having Abel Lezcano up should help the price.8-Twin Engine 20-1 also looks like he likes the in between route and sprint distance.9-Duke Of The City 5-1 got really good when K Breen put on fronts 2 races back.Big figs at Parx should always be taken with a grain of salt though.Especially when they are achieved by taking a wide trip as that is often the preferred line and the rail is dead.Looking at 3-4 other horses too.Hoping some scratches will trim down the contenders.
    Race 7
12-Place Card 12-1 - Closed from 9th last race while Hope Cross and Shift Colors ran 1st and 3rd around the track before finishing 2nd -3rd.Will need some pace and the Frenchman to work out a trip but is set for a peak effort 3rd from layoff.
    3-Hope Cross 5-2 - Very likely winner.
4-Colorful 5-1 - Will eventually be very good for Mott.He brings them along slow so can't argue tossing her, especially if she gets bet.
8-Skidmore 12-1 - Shift Colors would be logical alternative but want to give this girl a chance trying turf for 1st time.
    Race 8
Second Choice 6-Miss Behavior 5-2 is the horse to beat but could go with any of 2-Stonetastic 6-1 , 3-Southern Honey 10-1 , 7-Tea Time 12-1 , and 8-Princess Violet 5-1 also.Don't want favorite Sweet Whiskey popular all because of one race where she ran out of her mind at 32-1 in a 1 turn mile at Belmont. Will revisit this race tomorrow.
    Race 9
Tough race where the strongest opinion I have is that if you land on Ballerina Belle as the favorite , you're doing it wrong. She has been favored in 5 of her 9 career starts with a few being a strong favorite and is 0-5 in those races.Always ITM though so keying her in 2nd and then another ticket in 3rd would be how to us her.Now that I just put her in the winners circle I like 3-Gratitude 8-1 .It's hard to ignore K McLaughlins #s with turf sprinters 10 for his last 21.Was too far off the pace last time and expecting Irad to have her closer .The 1-Orient Harbor 7-2 is the obvious alternative and will give 12-Paddle Board 15-1 a shot 1st turf for Goldberg who is good with the move.
    Race 10
8-Clearly Now 7-5 - Ran out of this world last race and a repeat would crush these .Looks like another short price single.
3-Vyjack 15-1 and 2-Big Business 15-1 are perfect at this distance and playable at their prices.
4-Zee Bros 20-1 - Pace picture has him on an easy lead.
    Race 11
Looking for any alternative to the favorites lead me to the Darley entry of 1-Long River and 1A-Romansh 8-1 who I have been chasing for a few races and 7-Norumbega 10-1 who cuts back to the shortest distance in a while. If the track appears deep and tiring I may like the 7 a lot. Will pair those two with either Moreno or It'smyluckyday.
    Race 12
    11-Make A Decision

Mike i have a question for you ....its for first time starters .......or maybe also maiden ...what trainers ..do you think.....are alive with there horses...im not sure what you may think....but sometimes i feel if a t.p. Trained horse isnt bet ..and lets say his ml is 3-1 he goes off at 5-1...i tend to shy away from that horse.....what % of horses by asmussen first timer if not bet .dont win....how much you put into that....like i remember the first time goldenscents raced .ml was 8-1 het got bet 2-1 or about won by 12....so what trainers do you hold true into that ....for example that 2 horse today from the second race ml 10-1 closed 18-1 now ...i know when you post ...is so hard ...because i know you run into that situation.... Because you cant see that stuff............now knowing those odds would you still play him.? Tough one...huh lol i just watched a race at monmouth...they loaded the horse seconds before post..he won easy

i thought it was a wrong move to take the 5 down.should of left him....i think the made some contact ..but the 3 hit him right back.....it could have gone either way....but they should of left it...two jockeys playing hard ball....i seen a lot worse
