anyone here uses tvg.com to bet on horses?

I think they are run by BetFair. Any good? Has any of you ever played those computer/electronic horse racing from state lotteries? Any good? Here in Maryland the max payout for Racetrax is around $3.15 million (of course no one won this yet as far as I know but there have been winners of close to $100K).

TVG is a decent site but there fees are ridiculous since there are other ADW sites that dont charge fees.

TVG charges .25 per bet and if you want the video streaming its $5.95 per month.

If your looking for a few better ADW's i would suggest you go to Twinspires or Xpressbet, those 2 charge nothing to place bets and the video streaming is free.

a few years ago when I was really looking around, TVG was ridiculous. They charged you for everything. I now use Twinspires, free video, free bets, free deposits and free PP's if you bet on the race you download.

No TVG account for me.......everything you do on the site, they seem to have a charge for.......TVG made a big push to get NY residents to sign-up with them when NYC OTB shut-down.. I never took the bait.

Twinspires has been my place for many years.

8% of wagers, OR 8% of losses?

Twinspires is good, they have a bonus system in place now that allows you to get a free $10 bet when you eclipse 10,000 points. They have some tracks that are triple and x4 point days so you just have to pay attention and bet those tracks when offered.

Its easy to get 10,000 in a couple days of betting.

bg booth, if you wager $100 win or lose in a days betting session at dayatthe track, dayat the track will deposit $8.00 in your account the next day. if you win $500.00 with your $100.00 bankroll, and, wager that $500.00,also,you would have wagered $600.00 in your betting session.you would then get $48.00 added to your account.tour the site for all details.
    good luck bg,and,to all

dayatthetrack is awesome and you get paid next day. horseplayersbet.com is getting bigger and they have excellent customer service and paid in two days. i have been using racing2day.com lately. they all serve the purpose. i havent gotten a twinspires account yet because of my two homes in colorado and florida i am just to lazy to complete the verification process to get a account. the other three do just find. between all of them and espn which has quite a few tracks i can watch almost any race.

I love Dayatthetrack, it's perfect for people who like to bet Harness Racing or cheaper t-bred tracks, the rebates are awesome as well there, Twinspires i use just to watch the video on twinspires.tv the rewards there are not good unless your betting tens of thousands of dollars a month.

I'm Maryland-based. What's wrong with Laurel and Pimlico? I've never been there nor have I ever placed a bet on horse racing.

are these companies offshore? how do you get paid the next day? wire? check? paypal? d i r e c t d e p o s i t (notice I made spaces for the word, because when I didn't it was just like this ****? Does SBR not allow such words?

if these companies are NOT offshore, how do they get away with "online gambling". Is there a loophole, since it's horse racing?

yes you are allowed to wager in certain states on horses. never understand the reasoning but you can.All the ones i mentioned are located in states. i think day at the track is in california or oregon horseplayersbet and racing2day are in oregon. Certain states cant wager on certain sites but they wont let you join if your state isnt included. here in florida i can play at any. in colorado i cant play at tvg but i can others. you can use cc and yes they have ***************. you get paid usually 1-2 days in your bank account but you do have to pay taxes over 600 dollar winning bet

another bad thing foR TVG if you are a massachusetts resident.it's called the suffolk downs block.it went something like this, last year, and,i'm assuming it is also in place this year.because of the suffolk down block, they take many week day tracks off the betting menu,(ie:the mountaineer),even if suffolk is done for the day,or,not even running that daygo figure. last year i put $40.00 in my account to pay mountaineer that night.mountaineer was on the tvg betting menu that very morning i deposited.now about 6pm,(1 hour to post),the mountaineer was off the betting menu.lesson learned.

Yes you give your social sec # when you sign up.

Its to verify your indentity and also for if you hit a IRS ticket they will tax you automaticly.

Stay away from offshore racebooks as they have a cap on winnings per race, so if you hit a huge tri or super you wont get the full payout if its over the cap of the offshore book.

to answer you question about maryland racing at laurel and pimlico...the chances are if you go you will be the only one there..they are constantly crying over the fact that they don't have slots and can't survive without them...they racing product has suffered as horsemen have left for greener pastures (slot tracks with bigger purses)maryland will be out of business within a year unless they give them the slots..why anyone would want to play slots is beyond me but the fools go for some reason...

nowadays, you're not playing slots with the single line reel ,your're playing theme machines,ie: wheel of fortune, wizard oz,happy days, etc.with these new jobs, you're shooting for the bonus plays that give you multipje free spins,a mutiplier, and a chance for additional free spins.all this can lead up to a signer payout.that's what most slot players are looking for.if you want to try slots, make sure to read the rules of that game, especially the rule that states how many lines and amount you must play for each line to qualify for the bonuses.
if you hit a juicy bonus, get out and go to another machine if you still want to play slots.you already won the most,or close to the most that the machine has to offer.don'push it.
    good luck everyone.

what's the relation between slots and horse racing? horse racing has nothing to do with slots? or does it? people go to race tracks for the race, not for slots. slots are for casinos, i think. there are slots in MD now i think? or it's probably bingo?

Offshore, 5Dimes is the best overall. The pay a 10% bonus for exotics at the major tracks and for win bets at ALL tracks. They do limit bets on some of the smaller tracks, so you may want to have an extra book if you play certain tracks.
