Hockey Players Are 10x The Professional Athletes and Role Models Compared to NBA Thug

Take Westbrook for example even though List goes on and on

Their rap and dance shananigans and cursing at fans and lifestyle are not something young kids should be looking up to

Terrible attitudes and the way they cary themselves

    Caters to low income fans

NHL much much bettor and respectful without the gangster lifestyle

    Saer...

Not true. Westbrook is a good kid.

They are having fun. Flamboyant personalities are good for marketing the game and its stories.

Most NHL players are rubes and are not marketable. They give horrible interviews and do not create the drama that NBA players do. Like it or not, NBA player's attitudes and personalities make the game more marketable. 95% of them are good guys.

For example, I know a lot about Tyler Seguin that isn't common knowledge or in the media. He is not a good guy. He is a fukkin asshole for a number of reasons and I could cite a number of incidents that no one in the media knows about. He is a worse guy than 99% of guys in NBA or NFL

    True.

While NHL players have less 'bad seeds' they also lack personality.

    NBA players with gold teeth.

    NHL players with teeth.

I have seen and heard a lot of incidents/stories about a lot of guys in NHL. Many of them have checkered pasts growing up in Canadian suburbia. I will admit, they are better about behaving themselves once they get to the NHL, but many of them are fukkin terrible people, especially those who know they are NHL bound and think the world owes them something for being good at a sport. Many of them are entitled pricks. Because many NHL players come from money, there is a different kind of fuckboy in the NHL.

Don't kno3 many NBA guys personally but the couple that I do know are very humble, hardworking guys. Granted, they are young and unsuccessful currently but I highly doubt they will ever be guys to ever do something stupid or classless.

Giganté, no I don't hang out with them.

They are acquaintances at best. Guys that I played against a bunch of times. Know one guy better because he is a good friend of a good friend.

I was once at the same party as Jonas Valanciunas but I don't know him personally. Spoke with him briefly but he didn't seem interested in talking hoops.

I live down the street from Terrence Ross so I see him at bars every once in a while. He isn't exactly interested in speaking to his male fans.

Mo, as I've always suspected, you are big time.

    BIG TIME.

I'll bet you've got stories that would bring SBR to its collective knees. Someday you will have to start a thread, giving us all the dirt on these NHL and NBA players. I hope you're not waiting to write your memoirs. You saw what happened to Prince. Life is precious, as my good friend Seaweed once told me, start a thread while you can. You never know when it all can be taken away.

I like to live life like I signed a non-disclosure agreement with everyone I have ever met.

I will say that Tyler Sequin is probably one of the worst of the bunch.

Is he a rapist? Child beater? Murderer?

These are common occurrences in the NFL. That's a typical Tuesday.

I've never even heard of this kid.

I see that he plays for the Dallas Stars. I wonder if Opie knows what you're talking about. This sounds huge. Possibly bigger than anything we can imagine.

Mo, you've always been one of my favorite posters, and I'd go write that in litpete's thread, but you have to understand, I'm way too masculine to participate in something so gay. So, in short, if you need to get something off your chest, please PM me. I'm always here for you. God bless. And be safe.

I have a lot to get off my chest that doesn't involve NHL or NBA players.

I hope you have a note pad.

Hobble over to the girls house, and tell her you're sorry.

Tell her you were so distraught thinking about how you treated her that you injured yourself in a fit of self-induced rage.

Her panties will be sopping wet when she realizes how much you care.

    You're welcome.

I've heard stories from buddies who hang out with some NHL players and stars, say they party just as hard every night doing white lines etc so I guess since you don't hear about it they are better role models. And don't nhl guys beat each other to a pulp on TV? Great bullying role models there

    Internet relationships rarely work.

When I first met Seaweed, he told me he was a 20-year-old bisexual cheerleader. He showed me hundreds and hundreds of pictures, claiming to be her. It was all a game to him, Mo. He trapped me. Every time I tried to get him on cam, he made up some bogus excuse. This went on for 12 years. The romance, the cyber lovemaking, it was all a ruse. Sure we are still friends today, but it's not the same.

Anyway, my point is this, YOU'RE TALKING TO A MAN.

    Exactly.

Most of these guys are far from role models. I don't hold it against them because I don't think they should have to be and I am no role model.

But yeah, they do drugs, fukk strippers, have side girls in every city, fukk people up who didn't deserve it. I don't think they deserve to be chastised for doing shit that we all do from time to time. Just don't think anyone should think that these NHL guys are any better than anyone else. They don't get the same attention that the NBA/NFL guys do.

That sounds like a traumatic experience. I hope things work out between you two. He won't even meet me for lunch. Probably because I said he has to buy.

To be more specific, I left her and she married an Australian barrista and moved to Australia and had two kids.

Being honest, I ain't sorry. I hated her.

Feel bad about the way things went. I could have ended things more gently.

Also we lived together, she still had a key and walked in on my and another girl 3 days after I broke up with her. She said she was staying at Sarah's.

Still feel bad about that. She deserved better.

Are you feeling bad how you treated her, or are you feeling bad that you let her get away, Mo?

It sounds to me like she made a pretty good life for herself.

I did. Her name is as ridiculous as mine. We make a very interesting couple.

You ever met a couple where you said "Sorry, what?" twice, after each told you their name?

I think I will change my name to Carlton for simplicity.

    I'm happy you're happy, Mo.

One of my girlfriends has an interesting name, too, but mine is pretty basic. I guess that's where our story similarities end.

Carlton is good, or you can pay homage to the guy in your avatar, God rest his soul, and call yourself Philip.
