Kings didn't even make the playoffs this year. We lost to them in overtime last year in the conference finals. Otherwise this would've been a 3 peat. The Kings can't wash the BlackHawks socks. Quick was just hot as hell. They can't touch our structure. Now we are going to ship Patrick Sharpe for a draft pick and a good player and sign Brandon Saad. 22 years old. Hawks will win again with this team. Hossa is the best hockey player of the last decade.

Dynasty means over a decade. The hawks didn't make it 02-08 so they have only made it the past 7 years. Yes winning 3 but they are getting closer for the real definition of dynasty to be discussed . Now the wings have 4 cups within their current streak of the real test of time 23 years through players retiring, trading, addition of players (not clutch but dynasty). Chicago only has a few players winning there cups, so the team shouldn't be called a dynasty, more like the players(clutch not dynasty). If they can keep there success for the next few years by all means they would run the league but that's unlikely their performances during the season is on the decline and if you want to argue their playoff push .... that can only go for so long. If Toews, Kane went to another team that team would become a dynasty. This word dynasty comes up when someone wins a championship and have some mild recent success. Last year we would be saying the Kings are a dynasty winning 2 of the last 3 years forgetting that they are only 5 of last 12 playoff appearances.

Kane or Toews by themselves did not make this team a dynasty if it was that simple the Caps would have atleast made a Cup final by know or the Penguins would have won another Cup after 2009.

Nope. Saad wanted too much money.

When one has 2 rings in 3 seasons, one may think it's easier than it is and choose a few extra bucks over likelihood of perhaps 3 in 5

If they win this series there is no debate

I still believe in them and I bet them +550 to win series down 3-1. There is still hope with these guys. always.

I went in on a bill for the game tonight. Gonna keep going all in on the winning and original until they win/lose the series. Then I I'll probably put majority of the total on them to win the cup

i know this post is almost a year old but how many times does it need to be said that the blackhawks are doing this in the post salary cap era? shit was different back when the isles and penguins and red wings went on their runs

its way harder now to win a cup let alone 3 cups in 6 years

but if you arent from chicago or a fan of good hockey, everyone hates the hawks

    go hawks

Hawks are clutch. They aren't great though. Great was the 80's isles and oilers. Why are they always down in series?

Isles only faced one elimination game during their run of 4 straight cups and that was first round in a best of 5. They were great but they were never in spots like the Hawks have been where the pressure was on.

It would be impossible these days to win 4 straight and only play one elimination game because of parity.

Fair enough but the isles didn't allow themselves to get down. Hawks haven't won 2 straight cups. That's the only difference.

I think teams like the Hawks....they think they're better than everyone, so they coast. They play best when their backs are against the walls. I think they like the adversity. Almost as if they need it.

Blackhawks general manager Stan Bowman has "stepped aside" from his role, the team announced Tuesday. Senior vice president of hockey operations Al MacIsaac is out, too, the team announced.
The announcement comes as the Blackhawks release the results of an independent investigation they commissioned into sexual assault allegations against former video coach Brad Aldrich.
Two lawsuits were filed against the organization alleging that Aldrich sexually assaulted a former Blackhawks player and a high school player in 2010.

Was his rooster hard as the coach sucked him off holding a baseball bat? If it was this should be a non story. The media needs to ask the hard questions.

Too much "clutching" of the wrong ass going on in the Hawks dressing room over the years!
