Hello Thinktankers:

So I'm not quite sure how to use the SBR half-point calculator. I'll show my work and I'm wondering if one of you gurus can please let me know if I'm doing it correctly.

I estimate that a capper beats NBA totals by .5 points a play.

So I go to the NBA half-point calculator. Let's say I'm evaluating over 198 -110/-110 and put -105 into the 197.5 box (we got half-a-point of value) then I get -.5%. I get this exact same thing when I do this with 198 -105/-105. So it appears this bet is -.5%.

So can I crosscheck this by looking at ballpark push % of NBA totals which let's say is 2.2% (is that fair to say?)? So can I simply go .5 x 2.2% = 1.1%. So this amounts to a 51.1% handicapper? (this works out if 51.5% equates to -.5% per play at -105)?

Did I do this correctly?!
