ATL - WR Julio Jones has turf toe

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (toe) is dealing with turf toe, according to head coach Dan Quinn. The injury is not believed to be long-term.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Turf toe is an extremely painful injury to deal with...or try to play through. We should see Jones limited in practice all this week. At this time, Quinn expects Jones to play in Week 14 but it's too soon to know for sure.

NE - WR Danny Amendola to miss time

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Updating a previous report, New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola (ankle) suffered a high ankle sprain in Week 13, and the team's plan is to have him ready for the playoffs.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

That means Amendola could be shut down for the rest of the regular season. A high-ankle sprain can linger if not given enough time to heal. With Chris Hogan back in action, the Pats offense won't miss a beat without Amendola.

DEN - Denver claims RB Justin Forsett

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Free-agent RB Justin Forsett (Lions) was claimed by the Denver Broncos Monday, Dec. 5.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Forsett has had an odd year to say the least. He was cut by the Ravens after camp, but the team brought him back. They later cut Forsett and the Lions picked him up. The Lions just cut him last week, so the Broncos have now picked him up. Forsett had a career-best 1,266 yards rushing under Gary Kubiak when the Broncos head coach was the OC of the Ravens in 2014. Watch to see if Forsett can outperform a disappointed Devontae Booker in the Broncos backfield.

TB - WR Cecil Shorts suffers major knee injuries

    Source: ESPN - Britt McHenry

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Cecil Shorts (knee) tore his right ACL, MCL, PCL and dislocated his right knee in a Week 13 win over the San Diego Chargers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This injury could end his career. Shorts has been productive at times during his pro career, but he could not shake the injury bug. During six years in the NFL, Shorts has 229 catches, 2,979 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns.

CLE - 'All signs point' to RG3 starting

    Source: ESPN.com - Pat McManamon

Cleveland Browns QB Robert Griffin III (shoulder) is likely to get at least one more chance to prove he can be the team's quarterback of the future and 'all signs point' to it happening over the final month of the season, according to ESPN's Pat McManamon.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Never say never, and Griffin looks to be on track to play again for the Browns. This could be a four-game audition for Griffin as the Browns are just looking to the future. If he impresses, there's a chance he could stick around in 2017. He has a cap hit of $9.25 million next year with only $1.75 million in dead money.

CHI - WR Marquess Wilson injured

    Source: Chicago Sun-Times - Adam L. Jahns

Chicago Bears WR Marquess Wilson (groin) left the game Sunday, Dec. 5, in the first quarter with a strained groin.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

With Wilson out of the lineup, Josh Bellamy got a larger opportunity. If Wilson continues to miss time, then Bellamy could start opposite Cameron Meredith. Bellamy had four catches for 93 yards against the 49ers on Sunday.

TEN - RB DeMarco Murray on the field Monday

    Source: TitansOnline.com - Jim Wyatt

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (foot) participated in practice Monday, Dec. 5.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Titans had a bye in Week 13 as they prepare to face the Broncos in Week 14. Murray should register a RB1 performance against a weak Broncos rush defense, and we may see rookie Derrick Henry put up good flex numbers.

JAX - RB Denard Robinson has high ankle sprain

Source: The Associated Press - Mark Long

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Denard Robinson (ankle) suffered a high ankle sprain during the team's Week 13 game.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

High-ankle sprains are known to take a few weeks to heal. The Jaguars are hurting at RB with Chris Ivory (hamstring) banged up.

SEA - Seattle signs RB Marcel Reece

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Free-agent FB Marcel Reece (Raiders) is signing an undisclosed deal with the Seattle Seahawks Monday, Dec. 5, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Reece is a versatile veteran who can line up in the slot to catch passes, work as a devastating blocker as a fullback, or run the ball if needed. He'll be in the backfield to help blast open holes for Thomas Rawls. Seahawks fullback Will Tukuafu is in the concussion protocol.

TB - RB Charles Sims expected back this week

Source: Tampa Bay Times - Rick Stroud

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Charles Sims (knee) is expected to be activated from the Reserve/Injured list before the team's Week 14 game against the New Orleans Saints, according to head coach Dirk Koetter.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Sims is an important handcuff for Doug Martin owners to add off the waiver wire if he's out there. He'll get worked in behind Martin as a change-of-pace back. The return of Sims will take away some snaps from Jacquizz Rodgers.

BUF - WR Percy Harvin placed on NFI

    Source: BuffaloBills.com

Buffalo Bills WR Percy Harvin (illness) was placed on the Reserve/Non-Football Illness list Monday, Dec. 5.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Harvin's pro career is likely done. Talked out of retirement earlier this year, Harvin began experience severe migraine headaches after appearing in just two games. In eight seasons, Harvin caught 382 passes for 4,376 receiving yards and 23 touchdowns.

DEN - QB Trevor Siemian sheds walking boot

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Denver Broncos QB Trevor Siemian (foot) is longer wearing his walking boot, according to head coach Gary Kubiak.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's a sign that Siemian is on the right track. Kubiak is hopeful Siemian will be able to play in Week 14. The Broncos travel to play against the Titans on Sunday.

ATL - WR Mohamed Sanu has groin injury Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Atlanta Falcons WR Mohamed Sanu (groin) suffered a groin injury in Week 13, but he could still practice Thursday, Dec. 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
He was injured late in the game against the Chiefs. The Falcons will be cautious with Sanu as he deals with this injury...especially with Julio Jones battling a turf toe.

NFL - Leonard Fournette given high praise

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

LSU RB Leonard Fournette has officially declared for the NFL Draft Monday, Dec. 5. Two anonymous high-level evaluators told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport that Fournette is better than Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley. Fournette is considered by many pundits to be a top-five draft pick next year.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fournette is one of our favorite RBs in college. He's a big, swift and physical running back who gets stronger as the game goes on. Fournette's size, speed, and power combination reminds some in the scouting community of Vikings RB Adrian Peterson.

KC - WR Jeremy Maclin uncertain for Thursday

    Source: Chiefs.com - B.J. Kissel

Kansas City Chiefs WR Jeremy Maclin (groin) continues to make improvement from his groin injury, but head coach Andy Reid suggested he didn't know if Maclin would be able to play Thursday, Dec. 8, in a Week 14 game against the Oakland Raiders.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Chiefs would get a boost to the offense with Maclin back in the lineup. At this time, Maclin is trending in the right direction. We'll know more about his availability on Wednesday. This is a huge, must-see game on Thursday in the league's toughest division.

CAR - Too much too soon for WR Kelvin Benjamin?

Source: The Associated Press - Steve Reed

Carolina Panthers WR Kelvin Benjamin has scored only once since Week 4 and failed to catch more than three passes in any of his last three games. When asked about the team's top receiver Monday, Dec. 5, head coach Ron Rivera said, 'Maybe we did get him out there too soon, too much (after last year's torn ACL).'

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The season hasn't gone the way the Panthers wanted, but it will be nice to see Benjamin jump-started late in the year if at all possible. The Panthers are evaluating for next season, and Benjamin can be a big part of the offense if at full strength.

PHI - RB Ryan Mathews expected back soon

Source: The Philadelphia Inquirer - Jeff McLane

Philadelphia Eagles RB Ryan Mathews (knee) should return to practice Wednesday, Dec. 7, according to head coach Doug Pederson.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Eagles aren't running the ball well without Mathews on the field. We'll see if he can practice this week and work as the team's lead back against Washington.

PHI - Dorial Green-Beckham diagnosed with oblique contusion

Source: The Philadelphia Inquirer - Jeff McLane

Philadelphia Eagles WR Dorial Green-Beckham (oblique) suffered an oblique contusion in a Week 13 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. He is not expected to practice Wednesday, Dec. 7, but should be back in time to play versus the Washington Redskins in Week 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Without Jordan Matthews, there was an opportunity for Green-Beckham to do more. The injury held back his numbers against the Bengals, but it sounds like he'll be able to play against Washington.

PHI - WR Jordan Matthews expected back soon

Philadelphia Eagles WR Jordan Matthews (ankle) should return to practice Wednesday, Dec. 7, according to head coach Doug Pederson.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Matthews missed the game against the Bengals in Week 13 because of this ankle problem. The week of rest should help him as the team prepares to take on Washington in Week 14. We'll see if Matthews can at least be limited on Wednesday.

    Wednesday Update

KC - WR Jeremy Maclin has full practice

    Source: ESPN - Bob Holtzman

Kansas City Chiefs WR Jeremy Maclin (groin) was a full participant in practice Tuesday, Dec. 6, and is expected to play Thursday, Dec. 8, against the Oakland Raiders.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It looks like Maclin will play this week. That's a boost for the Chiefs passing game, but it may take some targets away from Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce.

DEN - Denver works out several players

    Source: ESPN - Adam Caplan

Free-agent QBs Sean Renfree (Falcons) and T.J. Yates (Texans), free-agent RBs Bernard Pierce (Jets) and Zac Brooks (Seahawks) and free-agent WR Keshawn Martin (49ers) worked out for the Denver Broncos Tuesday, Dec. 6.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Broncos are just updating their emergency list here. Working out both quarterbacks is an interesting sign since Trevor Siemian is ailing from a foot injury. We'll know more about Siemian's availability later this week in practice as the Broncos prepare to travel to face the Titans in Week 14.

NYJ - QB Christian Hackenberg only in if injury

Source: New York Post - Brian Costello

New York Jets QB Christian Hackenberg will not play unless new starting QB Bryce Petty gets hurt, according to head coach Todd Bowles.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hackenberg may still be their quarterback of the future, but we may not see him this year. The rookie has a lot to work on, and the Jets are certainly taking their time with the development.

NFL - Christian McCaffrey declaring for NFL Draft

    Source: BleacherReport.com - Matt Miller

Stanford RB Christian McCaffrey will declare for the NFL Draft, according to sources.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

McCaffrey is one of the most exciting running backs in college football. As a pro prospect, we see him as a late first-round pick. He can help as a runner, receiver or return man for a team in need of playmakers. It wouldn't surprise us to see a team like the Patriots take a look at McCaffrey due to his versatility.

NYJ - New York waives two players

Source: New York Daily News - Manish Mehta

New York Jets RB C.J. Spiller and WR Jeremy Ross were waived Tuesday, Dec. 6.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Spiller's pro career has to be nearing the end. He barely played for the Jets this year, and now he's been cut by three teams in one season.

DET - RB Joique Bell back with Lions

Source: NFL Network - Mike Garafalo

Free-agent RB Joique Bell (Bears) signed an undisclosed contract with the Detroit Lions Tuesday, Dec. 6.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bell just gives the Lions some veteran depth behind Theo Riddick and Zach Zenner. This signing is also an indication that Dwayne Washington's ankle injury could keep him out of Week 14.

SF - QB Colin Kaepernick to draw another start

Source: Sacramento Bee - Matt Barrows

San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick will get the start in Week 14 against the New York Jets, according to offensive coordinator Curtis Modkins.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Kaepernick was benched last week, but that was just to give the offense a spark. With Blaine Gabbert as the next man up, it is an easy call to go back to Kaepernick against a weak Jets pass defense.

PIT - RB DeAngelo Williams could practice soon

    Source: The Observer-Reporter - F. Dale Lolley

Pittsburgh Steelers RB DeAngelo Williams (knee) may be able to return to practice this week, according to head coach Mike Tomlin.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Williams will be an important handcuff to Le'Veon Bell during the fantasy playoffs. He's coming back from a knee scope and should be eased back into action.

DAL - Dallas not expected to rest starters

Source: Fort Worth Star-Telegram - Charean Williams

Dallas Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott, QB Dak Prescott, WR Dez Bryant and WR Cole Beasley are expected to see their usual reps down the stretch, as team owner Jerry Jones stated it will be 'business as usual' even if his team clinches the No. 1 seed in the NFC.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

That's good news for fantasy owners who have been riding guys like Elliott into the fantasy playoffs. If you make it to the championship in Week 16, then it sounds like your Cowboys will be available.

CLE - QB Cody Kessler listed as starter

Source: 92.3 The Fan - Daryl Ruiter

Cleveland Browns QB Cody Kessler is listed as the starting quarterback on the unofficial Week 14 depth chart.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Robert Griffin III could push Kessler for that starting job for the rest of the season. At this time, Kessler sits on top of the depth chart but watch to see if Griffin ends up in that spot. Any fantasy owner streaming QBs in the fantasy playoffs should be monitoring this situation.

WAS - Rob Kelley to be more involved

    Source: CSNMidAtlantic.com - JP Finlay

Washington Redskins RB Rob Kelley is expected to be more involved in the offense, according to head coach Jay Gruden. Kelley had 14 carries in each of the last two games.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Kelley is not flashy, but he can be productive when fed the rock. It's a wise move for Washington to use the rookie running back more. He'll wear down defenses, take time off the clock, and give the Washington defense more of a breather between series. Oh yeah -- running the ball will set things up better for QB Kirk Cousins and the passing game. Kelley could be a key player for you in the fantasy playoffs.

BUF - QB Tyrod Taylor not guaranteed job

Source: The Buffalo News - Jay Skurski

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor hasn't been guaranteed the starting job next season by head coach Rex Ryan. Taylor's completion percentage and yards per attempt are down from 2015, and he's on pace to throw fewer touchdown passes while being sacked more.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We have to see how the rest of this season plays out. If Taylor plays well over the final month, then we should see him stick around next year. Taylor is owed $27.5 million from the Bills if he remains on their roster through the fourth day of the 2017 league year.

    Thursday Update

ATL - WR Julio Jones sits Wednesday

Source: CBS Sports Radio - Knox Bardeen

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (toe) missed practice Wednesday, Dec. 7, but should practice Thursday, Dec. 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jones is banged up, but he's the kind of talent who can miss practice for most of the week and still shine on Sunday. Let's keep an eye on him for later this week.

CLE - Robert Griffin on track to start

    Source: ESPN.com - Dan Graziano

Cleveland Browns QB Robert Griffin III (shoulder) likely will be the starting quarterback in Week 14 as long as he does not suffer a setback during practice this week, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Things have been trending this way for some time. The Browns practiced Cody Kessler, Josh McCown, Kevin Hogan and Griffin on Wednesday. Griffin's rushing ability makes him a better-than-some-would-think streaming option if he starts.

MIN - RB Adrian Peterson may not play again in 2016

Source: USA TODAY Sports - Tom Pelissero

Updating a previous report, Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson (knee) said he will only return this season if the Vikings are still in playoff contention.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Unless the Vikings are in the playoffs, there's no need for Peterson to return. Whether or not he returns to the Vikings in 2017 is up in the air. Vikings must exercise his 2017 salary ($11.75 million, $6 million roster bonus due in March, no dead money) by the last league day of 2016 (2/5/2017).

PHI - WR Jordan Matthews expected to play

Philadelphia Eagles WR Jordan Matthews (ankle) will practice Wednesday, Dec. 7, and he's expected to play in Week 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Matthews missed last week against the Bengals, but barring any setbacks he should be ready for the game at home versus Washington on Sunday.

KC - WR Jeremy Maclin ready to play

    Source: NFL

Kansas City Chiefs WR Jeremy Maclin (groin) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Dec. 7, and is not on the injury report for Week 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's been a few weeks since Maclin has suited up. They could ease him back into action, and that makes him more of a WR6 for fantasy owners in Week 14.

NYJ - WR Brandon Marshall takes part in practice

New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall (foot, knee) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Dec. 7.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The 49ers are the worst defense in the league when it comes to stopping the run...and they're pretty terrible against the pass as well. With Bryce Petty in at QB we can only trust Marshall as a low-end WR2 in Week 14.

NO - RB Mark Ingram limited

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram (toe, knee) was limited in practice Wednesday, Dec. 7.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ingram's injury situation is a bit concerning for fantasy owners. We have him as a low-end RB2 in Week 14.

NYJ - RB Matt Forte listed as limited

New York Jets RB Matt Forte (foot, knee) was limited during practice Wednesday, Dec. 7.

Not many things are going right for the Jets, but Forte against the 32nd-ranked rush defense of the 49ers in Week 14 is a matchup made in heaven. Start him as a RB1 in Week 14.

DET - TE Eric Ebron also limited

Detroit Lions TE Eric Ebron (knee) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Dec. 7.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's Wednesday, so watch his status at the end of the week. Against the Bears in Week 14, we've got Ebron as a high-end TE2.

DET - RB Dwayne Washington limited

Detroit Lions RB Dwayne Washington (ankle) was limited in practice Wednesday, Dec. 7.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

    Source: Bengals.com

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell (knee) was limited during practice Wednesday, Dec. 7.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It could be a robust day for the Bengals offense as they play the hapless Browns in Week 14. Because of that, we've got LaFell as a WR3/flex play for fantasy owners.

DET - Limited practice for WR Marvin Jones

Detroit Lions WR Marvin Jones (quadriceps) was limited in practice Wednesday, Dec. 7.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This injury kept Jones out of the lineup last week. He could return this week, but it's been a long time since Jones had fantasy relevance. Keep him on your bench in the first week of the fantasy playoffs.

ATL - WR Mohamed Sanu absent Wednesday

    Source: ESPN.com - Vaughn McClure

Atlanta Falcons WR Mohamed Sanu (groin) missed practice Wednesday, Dec.7.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

With Sanu and Julio Jones a little banged up, the Falcons are going to take it easy on these guys during the week of practice. If Sanu plays against the Rams, he's likely a deeper flex play for fantasy owners.

DEN - RB Justin Forsett will play in Week 14

Source: The Denver Post - Cameron Wolfe

Denver Broncos RB Justin Forsett will be active for the team's Week 14 game and will share snaps with RB Devontae Booker, according to head coach Gary Kubiak.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

There's no need to learn the system as Forsett has his best season under Kubiak in 2014 with the Baltimore Ravens. He can step into a change-of-pace role for the Broncos on Sunday against the Titans. Forsett's workload will be similar to the one RB Kapri Bibbs (ankle) received before his injury.

NYG - RB Shane Vereen practicing

New York Giants RB Shane Vereen (triceps) is practicing again Wednesday, Dec. 7.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Vereen could be back this week for the Giants, but fantasy owners shouldn't be adding him -- even in deep leagues. They are using rookie RB Paul Perkins more, and he'll continue to get worked into action behind starter Rashad Jennings. Vereen would be third on the depth chart at best with only a few touches here and there if/when active.

BUF - WR Robert Woods to see limited work
    Source: WKBW.com - Joe Buscaglia

Buffalo Bills WR Robert Woods (knee) will see limited work in practice Wednesday, Dec. 7.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

He's missed two games with this knee injury, but it seems like Woods is on track to play against the Steelers on Sunday. His return should boost the Bills passing attack, but we only have him as a WR7/deep desperation flex for fantasy owners in Week 14.

PHI - RB Ryan Mathews likely back

Source: The Philadelphia Inquirer - Jeff McLane

Philadelphia Eagles RB Ryan Mathews (knee) will practice Wednesday, Dec. 7, and he's expected to play in Week 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Eagles haven't been able to run the ball well, and Mathews being back should help that a bit. What else helps that? They'll be at home facing a Washington team that has allowed an average of 114.3 rushing yards per game this season.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Green-Beckham has an oblique contusion after taking a big hit from Bengals LB Vontaze Burfict. We'll know more about the young WRs status by the end of the week.

HOU - WR Braxton Miller could play in Week 14

    Source: HoustonTexans.com

Houston Texans WR Braxton Miller (shoulder) is 'doing OK' and has a chance to play in Week 14 against the Indianapolis Colts, according to head coach Bill O'Brien.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We've got Miller as a 'what the heck' flex if he plays against the Colts on Sunday. The Colts have the 28th-ranked pass defense and allow and average of 273.3 passing yards per game.

Like the move by the Broncos. Guys like Forsett can be good when they are rested for the home stretch.

Agree, amazing how these types are in such demand. Maybe he has the same agent as Jeff Fisher and Rex Ryan?

    Friday Update

WAS - TE Jordan Reed expects to play

Source: NFL Network - Mike Garafalo

Updating a previous report, Washington Redskins TE Jordan Reed (shoulder) said he feels that he has all of his range of motion back and believes he'll play in Week 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We like what we're hearing. Currently Reed sits as a borderline TE1/TE2, and faces an Eagles' defense allowing just 5.5 fantasy points per game to tight ends. If he plays, it takes some fantasy shine away from Vernon Davis.

PHI - WR Jordan Matthews practices

Source: The Philadelphia Inquirer - Jeff McLane

Philadelphia Eagles WR Jordan Matthews (ankle) fully participated in practice Thursday, Dec. 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Carson Wentz has struggled a ton, which limits how effective and productive an already hampered Matthews. Washington can be beat through the air, and Wentz loves to target Matthews when he's out there. Consider Matthews a boom/bust WR3 or flex option for your fantasy team.

ATL - WR Julio Jones misses practice

Source: The Atlanta Journal-Constitution - D. Orlando Ledbetter

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (toe) will not participate in practice Thursday, Dec. 8, but will work on the side.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We're still hopeful Jones can be a solid WR1 start, but keep it locked here in case anything changes.

NYJ - WR Brandon Marshall full go

New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall (knee, foot) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Dec. 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bryce Petty, the injury and Marshall's obvious lack of interest in playing make him a mediocre play even against the 49ers. We have him as a high-end WR3.

MIA - WR DeVante Parker limited

    Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban

Miami Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (back) was limited in practice Thursday, Dec. 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We're a bit leery of Parker and his targets and yards have been shaky. Two touchdowns in three games is nice, but not dependable right now. He's no more than a WR6 at this point.

SD - WR Dontrelle Inman practices in full again

    Source: NFLMedia.com

San Diego Chargers WR Dontrelle Inman (ankle) practiced in full for the second straight day Thursday, Dec. 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Inman has had back-to-back weeks of very nice production, but we're not on board this time out. His targets are too inconsistent and he depends on big plays too much to trust. Consider him a WR4/WR5 with upside, but not reliable upside.

San Diego Chargers WR Tyrell Williams (shoulder) was a full participant in practice for the second straight day Thursday, Dec. 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Williams has a really nice matchup against an underwhelming Carolina pass defense and secondary. He's a high-end WR2 this week and should have good production.

DEN - QB Trevor Siemian still limited

Source: The Tennessean - Jim Wyatt

Denver Broncos QB Trevor Siemian (foot) was a limited participant in practice Thursday, Dec. 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We don't love his outlook, despite facing a vulnerable Titans defense. We're tentatively placing him as a borderline QB2/QB3 assuming he plays. We have seen him go off a few times before his injury, but between his general inconsistency and our concerns that the injury is going to limit what he can do, we're cool on his prospects.

Jacksonville Jaguars RB T.J. Yeldon (ankle) fully participated in practice Thursday, Dec. 8.

Yeldon faces a hard Minnesota run defense averaging 103.5 yards rushing allowed per game, but which has only allowed six touchdowns this year (third-least in the league). He and Chris Ivory might see some yards, but won't see the end zone. He's no better than a borderline RB4/RB5.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns (hamstring) did not participate in practice Thursday, Dec. 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We don't expect Hurns to play this weekend, and against a harsh Minnesota defense, we don't have Allen Robinson or Marqise Lee as more than WR3 and WR6 plays, respectively.

CAR - RB Jonathan Stewart takes part in practice

Source: The Associated Press - Steve Reed

Carolina Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart (non-injury) fully participated in practice Thursday, Dec. 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The 96-yard, two touchdown game against Oakland was the best of his recent games but three of Stewart's last four games have been unimpressive. Even though the Chargers have given up 16 touchdowns so far, they allow just 89.1 yards per game. They are vulnerable to scores, but Stewart isn't anyone we feel is going to cash in. Start him as a high-end RB3 and hope for him to buck the trend as a bonus.

New England Patriots TE Martellus Bennett (ankle, shoulder) is participating in practice Thursday, Dec. 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bennett's injury will hold him back. If he were healthy, he'd be a solid TE1, but hurt, he drops down a level to shaky TE3. He's playing through pain, which is good, but will limit his production.

Atlanta Falcons WR Mohamed Sanu (groin) will not participate in practice Thursday, Dec. 8.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Taylor Gabriel seems to have hopped Sanu in the pecking order, but they could hamper each other's production as Matt Ryan splits targets. Gabriel is a WR6 right now in our rankings, while Sanu hovers closer to WR7 status. If he doesn't play, bump Gabriel up a notch.

MIA - WR Jarvis Landry returns

    Source: Sun-Sentinel - Omar Kelly

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (non-injury) is participating in practice Thursday, Dec. 8, after missing practice Wednesday, Dec. 7.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Despite an awful game by Ryan Tannehill against the Baltimore Ravens, Landry put together a nice game last week. He's not bulletproof though, and the Cardinals defense is good, allowing just 199.3 passing yards a game and only giving up 10 touchdowns. We think this week will look less like the Ravens game and more like the previous three—middling yards and few scores. Consider him a WR3 this week.

CLE - QB Robert Griffin III to start Week 14

Source: NFL Network - Michael Silver

Cleveland Browns QB Robert Griffin III (shoulder) was named the starter for Week 14 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We're sort of fascinated by this. Prior to the season, we saw Griffin and Terrelle Pryor develop some nice chemistry and thought that Griffin could be a good fit in the offense. We never got a chance to see how that would work out until now. We wouldn't put Griffin as more than a middling QB2, but we are anxious to see what he can do even in the dumpster fire in Cleveland.

TB - RB Doug Martin could see fewer touches

    Source: ESPN.com - Jenna Laine

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Doug Martin suffered a minor injury in the Week 13 game against the San Diego Chargers, giving way to RB Jacquizz Rodgers more in the fourth quarter. Rodgers may cut into Martin's touches this week, depending on the game flow and level of production early on, according to ESPN's Jenna Laine.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Right now we see Martin as a borderline RB2/RB3 because of both the injury and the potential work Rodgers might take from him. Add in a decent Saints run defense and this run game might not pan out very well.

    Saturday Update

ATL - WR Julio Jones to be game-time decision

    Source: ESPN.com - Vaughn McClure

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (toe) is listed as questionable on the Week 14 injury report and will be a game-time decision against the Los Angeles Rams. Head coach Dan Quinn reportedly expects Jones will play.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Falcons play in the 4:25 kickoff so this complicates things. You have to have a hedge in place from the afternoon or late games if you are planning on playing Jones in the playoffs this week. Taylor Gabriel, Kenny Britt, Robby Anderson, and Tyler Lockett are among the more attractive wide receiver options from that pool who could be on your waiver wire.

IND - WR T.Y. Hilton doesn't practice Friday

    Source: NFLMedia.com

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (back) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 9.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

There's no outward indication that this is a sign that Hilton will miss the game on Sunday, but check on Sunday morning. The Texans secondary is banged up, so Hilton has a high ceiling as long as he is active.

WAS - TE Jordan Reed practices again

    Source: ESPN.com - John Keim

Washington Redskins TE Jordan Reed (shoulder) participated in practice Friday, Dec. 9, but is listed as questionable for Week 14 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Reed is expected to play in some circles and if he does, he'll be a boom/bust play who could land anywhere from zero to the #1 tight end of the week, as he was when he played through the injury on Thanksgiving. Vernon Davis's range of outcomes gets a lot lower if Reed is active.

ATL - WR Mohamed Sanu a no-go for Week 14

    Source: ESPN.com - Vaughn McClure

Atlanta Falcons WR Mohamed Sanu (groin) has been ruled out for Week 14 against the Los Angeles Rams.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Taylor Gabriel becomes a more attractive option with a higher floor to go along with his high ceiling now that Sanu is out and Julio Jones is questionable.

CIN - WR A.J. Green ruled out for Week 14

    Source: Bengals.com - Geoff Hobson

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (hamstring) will not play in Week 14 against the Cleveland Browns.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

At this point Green is 50/50 at best for next week, and you won't play him in his first week back. If you're in a pinch, Green is droppable as the chances of him contributing or hurting you after you drop him are small.

JAX - TE Julius Thomas ruled out

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Julius Thomas (back) has been ruled out for Week 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ben Koyack and Neal Sterling will split the tight end duties for the Jaguars this week. Sterling is a converted wideout who is worth monitoring in December for deep and TE premium dynasty leagues.

    Source: WEEI.com - Ryan Hannable

New England Patriots TE Martellus Bennett (shoulder, ankle) admitted that he's not 100 percent as he grinds through ankle and shoulder ailments.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bennett's blocking and receiving have suffered since his ankle issue was aggravated and this new shoulder issue popped up. He is more desperation play than boom/bust option at tight end in Week 14 despite the likely high passing volume and absence of Rob Gronkowski.

Jacksonville Jaguars RB T.J. Yeldon (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 9, and is not on the injury report for Week 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Yeldon should be the lead back on Sunday against the Vikings, although the matchup limits his upside. He's only a flex play and a better play in PPR leagues in Week 14.

Ebron should play this week. The Bears are down to backups at both inside linebacker positions, so he has a high floor in the high efficiency Lions passing game.

DET - WR Marvin Jones' status in question

    Source: NFL

Detroit Lions WR Marvin Jones (quadriceps) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 9, and is listed as questionable for Week 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Even if Jones is active, he should be on your bench. His production has nosedived over the course of the year and the Lions have a lot of mouths to feed on offense.

MIA - Questionable tag for WR DeVante Parker

    Source: MiamiDolphins.com

Miami Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (back) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 9, and is listed as questionable for Week 14.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Parker is good to go for Week 14, but the Dolphins pass offense sputtered in a high volume game at Baltimore last week. Arizona is an even tougher draw this week despite the loss of Tyrann Mathieu. Parker is just a boom/bust WR3/Flex and a low-end one at that.

PHI - WR Dorial Green-Beckham questionable

    Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com

Philadelphia Eagles WR Dorial Green-Beckham (abdomen) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 9, and is listed as questionable for Week 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bryce Treggs and Paul Turner will get more run this week in the deteriorating Eagles offense if Green-Beckham can't go. Nelson Agholor will also continue his shot at redemption after what is amounting to a lost season.

SD - Tyrell Williams practices in full again

    Source: NFLMedia.com

San Diego Chargers WR Tyrell Williams (shoulder) practiced in full for the third straight day Friday, Dec. 9.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Williams looks like a safe WR3/Flex play at worst against an inexperienced Panthers secondary. It doesn't seem like his injury is going to materially affect his play.

DEN - QB Trevor Siemian likely to play in Week 14

    Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis

Denver Broncos QB Trevor Siemian (foot) is 'progressing toward playing' in Week 14 against the Tennessee Titans, although it is far from a certainty, according to 9News' Mike Klis.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Whether it's a hobbled Siemian or an inexperienced, overwhelmed Paxton Lynch, the Broncos offensive outlook is dim this week at Tennessee. Demaryius Thomas is a low WR2 at best and Emmanuel Sanders is a WR3/Flex.

    28. JAX - RB Chris Ivory questionable
    Source: Jaguars.com - John Oehser

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Chris Ivory (hamstring) is questionable for Week 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ivory will split the work with TJ Yeldon if he can go on Sunday, but it is against a tough Minnesota defense, so both are merely desperation plays. Yeldon becomes flex material if Ivory can't go.

    Sunday Update

ATL - WR Julio Jones to be 'decoy at best' Week 14

Source: The Atlanta Journal-Constitution - D. Orlando Ledbetter

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (toe) is expected to be active for Week 14 versus the Los Angeles Rams despite being considered a game-time decision. However, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's D. Orlando Ledbetter believes the star wideout will be a ''decoy at best' for the game.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Keep this in mind when setting your fantasy lineup. We're all for 'starting your studs' once in the fantasy postseason, but this is an ominous warning from a veteran beat writer. If you start Jones, proceed with caution.

    PIT - Chris Boswell a game-time decision

    Source: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler

Pittsburgh Steelers PK Chris Boswell (abdomen) will work out before the team's Week 14 game to see if he will be able to play. PK Randy Bullock will handle the kicking duties again if Boswell is unable to play.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fortunately, the Pittsburgh game is a 1:00 PM kickoff so we'll have info on Boswell Sunday morning about 11:30.

CLE - QB Jimmy Garoppolo to be offseason target?

Source: Akron Beacon Journal - Nate Ulrich

New England Patriots QB Jimmy Garoppolo is expected to be a primary offseason trade target for the Cleveland Browns, according to former Browns and Patriots executive Mike Lombardi.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Browns certainly have the draft capital to do so. They are in need of a franchise quarterback, but pulling Garoppolo away from the Patriots could take a first-round pick...and maybe more than one. It will be an interesting offseason for the Browns to say the least.

JAX - TE Julius Thomas placed on IR

    Source: The Florida Times-Union - Ryan O'Halloran

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Julius Thomas (back) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Saturday, Dec. 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

And the streak continues. Thomas has never played a full 16-game season in his pro career with the Broncos or the Jaguars. His future with the team is in doubt. There's no question Thomas is a talent when healthy, it's just that staying healthy part that has been the problem. In 2017, Thomas has a cap hit of $8.3 million and there's $3.6 million remaining in dead money.

TB - RB Charles Sims returning to team

Source: Tampa Bay Times - Greg Auman

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Charles Sims (knee) was activated from the Reserve/Injured list Saturday, Dec. 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This is a move that has been expected for some time. With Doug Martin struggling to produce, the Bucs have talked about using Jacquizz Rodgers more. Don't forget about Sims...especially if you play in a PPR league. The Bucs don't have a ton of weapons on offense, and Sims can contribute as a runner or receiver out of the backfield.

NYG - RB Shane Vereen activated

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

New York Giants RB Shane Vereen (triceps) was activated from the Reserve/Injured list Saturday, Dec. 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Vereen is expected to play on Sunday. His role will be quite limited. Not only because he's a backup to Rashad Jennings, but also becuase he's splitting that backup job with rookie Paul Perkins.

DEN - RB Justin Forsett familiar with offense

Source: The Denver Post - Cameron Wolfe

Denver Broncos RB Justin Forsett said he knows about 99% of the Broncos' offense because it is the same offense head coach Gary Kubiak used when they were both with the Baltimore Ravens in 2014. Kubiak expects Forsett to make an immediate impact for the team.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We've got Forsett as a 'what the heck' flex this week against the Titans. Watch to see if his role could grow in what Kubiak has basically described as a 'hot hand' approach going forward. Forsett's potential impact could damage the already disappointing fantasy stock in Devontae Booker.

DAL - Jerry Jones wants to keep QB Tony Romo

Source: New York Daily News - Gary Myers
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he believes he can convince QB Tony Romo to remain with the team in 2017.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Jones is trying to drive up the price here. Romo should be on the trade block...if the price is right. The Cowboys may be able to get a first-round pick for Romo as they are moving forward with Dak Prescott as their franchise quarterback.

Jerry Jones should trade Romo for sure after the year. Last chance to get at least something for him.

    Monday Update

SD - RB Melvin Gordon carted off

Source: The San Diego Union-Tribune - Michael Gehlken

San Diego Chargers RB Melvin Gordon (hip) was carted off the field during the team's Week 14 game because of a hip injury.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Kenneth Farrow is the backup, although Ronnie Hillman and practice squad back Andre Williams could figure into a backfield without Gordon in future weeks. The Chargers draw the poor Browns defense in Week 16, so we'll be watching this closely.

MIA - Team fears worst for QB Ryan Tannehill

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Updating a previous report, the Miami Dolphins fear QB Ryan Tannehill (knee) suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in the Week 14 game against the Arizona Cardinals. He is scheduled for an MRI Monday, Dec. 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Matt Moore will get the start against the Jets next week, and he could deserve consideration in superflex/2QB leagues and as a cheap DFS option against the Jets defense.

DET - QB Matthew Stafford expects to keep playing

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Updating a previous report, Detroit Lions QB Matthew Stafford (thumb) suffered a dislocated thumb and torn ligaments in the Week 14 game against the Chicago Bears, a source said Sunday, Dec. 11. He is expected to play the rest of the season wearing a protective glove.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Stafford was still a solid fantasy play thanks to a rushing touchdown, but his ceiling is getting lower heading into a matchup with the underrated Giants defense.

ARI - WR Larry Fitzgerald held down

    Source: The Associated Press

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald posted three receptions for 12 yards in the Week 14 game against the Miami Dolphins. He was targeted a game-high nine times.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fitzgerald had his worst game of the year by far, at least in part because of the conditions. The matchup against the Saints is interesting next week, so we'll probably go back to Fitzgerald if we survived his down game.

ARI - TE Jermaine Gresham leads the charge

    Source: The Associated Press

Arizona Cardinals TE Jermaine Gresham posted five receptions for a team-high 45 yards in the Week 14 game against the Miami Dolphins. He was targeted seven times.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gresham has had five receptions in each of the last three games. He's a viable PPR streaming option against New Orleans next week.

MIA - WR Jarvis Landry hits triple digits

    Source: The Associated Press

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry posted four receptions for 103 yards on six targets in the Week 14 game against the Arizona Cardinals.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Landry had a long catch and run on a short reception and poor tackling attempts by the Cardinals secondary. He's still a low ceiling option with Matt Moore in at quarterback.

MIA - RB Jay Ajayi mostly bottled up

    Source: The Associated Press

Miami Dolphins RB Jay Ajayi rushed 20 times for just 48 yards in the Week 14 game against the Arizona Cardinals and he added one catch for 15 yards on three targets.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ajayi had one touchdown called back by penalty and Ryan Tannehill fumbled a snap on another play that would have been a goal line opportunity. Damien Williams also vultured a goal line reception. Ajayi remains a solid RB2 at worst heading into a matchup with the Jets run defense that was gashed by Carlos Hyde in Week 14.

PHI - TE Zach Ertz over 100 yards

    Source: CBSSports.com

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz caught 10 of his 13 targeted passes for 112 yards in a 27-22 loss to the Washington Redskins.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ertz is coming on late in the season again as a high volume target in the Eagles passing game. He'll be solid TE1 against Baltimore next week, especially in PPR leagues.

SD - Kenneth Farrow solid in relief

    Source: NFL.com

San Diego Chargers RB Kenneth Farrow rushed for 55 yards on 16 carries against the Carolina Panthers in Week 14. He also caught six passes for 23 yards during the game.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Farrow will be a low ceiling RB2 or solid flex play against the Raiders next week, although the team should get Ronnie Hillman more involved, and they could even call Andre Williams up from the practice squad.

CIN - WR Tyler Boyd perfect with passes

    Source: CBSSports.com

Cincinnati Bengals WR Tyler Boyd was targeted six times by QB Andy Dalton and caught all six passes for 49 yards in a win over the Cleveland Browns.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Boyd also had 40 yards on two rushing attempts to put together a very solid for anyone who trusted him as a WR3/Flex because of the matchup. The Steelers matchup next week isn't bad, assuming AJ Green isn't back and Boyd will remain a starter.

CLE - RB Isaiah Crowell nets over 100 yards

    Source: CBSSports.com

Cleveland Browns RB Isaiah Crowell rushed 10 times for 113 yards, including a 42-yard run, in a loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, Dec. 11.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Crowell had two big runs in the second half to fuel a great day running the ball in the snow. He'll face the Bills defense that LeVeon Bell ran ragged.

PIT - TE Ladarius Green held in check

    Source: NFL.com
Pittsburgh Steelers TE Ladarius Green caught two passes for 25 yards against the Buffalo Bills in Week 14.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Green's follow-up to his Week 13 breakout game was a week killer. He has a high ceiling against Cincinnati next week, but his limited snap count and low floor bit anyone who started Green this week.

So much for Jeff Fisher 2 year extension. I wonder if Prop Z in LA to vote to send the Rams back to St Louis had anything to do with it?
