GB - RB Eddie Lacy uncertain to play Week 6
Source: ESPN.com - Rob Demovsky
Green Bay Packers RB Eddie Lacy (ankle) was encouraged by the fact he was able to walk on his injured ankle Monday, Oct. 10, less than 24 hours after injuring it in a Week 5 win over the New York Giants. However, he was not able to finish the game and told reporters Monday 'we'll see how it is going into next week' when asked about playing versus the Dallas Cowboys in Week 6.

The Packers will take it easy on Lacy during the week of practice. We will have an update on his status around Friday. In case he can't play, fantasy owners need to have another RB ready. Without Lacy, the Packers would use more of James Starks.

TB - RB Charles Sims placed on IR
Source: Buccaneers.com - Scott Smith
Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Charles Sims (knee) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Monday, Oct. 10. RB Russell Hansbrough was correspondingly promoted from the practice squad.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The Bucs are still without Doug Martin, so they'll move forward with Jacquizz Rodgers and Peyton Barber. Sims has disappointed since Martin went down, but now he's getting plenty of time to recover.

SF - 49ers taking hard look at QB position
Source: San Jose Mercury News - Cam Inman
San Francisco 49ers QB Blaine Gabbert's job status continues to be an open-ended question, as head coach Chip Kelly suggested the team is 'looking at every option' at the position.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
We're likely to see a QB switch soon. The 49ers could turn things over to Colin Kaepernick due to Gabbert's struggles. On paper, Kaepernick seems like a good fit for Kelly's system.

NE - TE Rob Gronkowski feeling good again
Source: ESPNBoston.com - Mike Reiss
New England Patriots Rob Gronkowski played 64 of 72 snaps in a Week 5 victory over the Cleveland Browns and did not report any setbacks with the hamstring injury that had limited him for the first four games of the season.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
With Tom Brady back on the field, Gronkowski went back to looking like his old self. Fantasy owners should trust Gronkowski again as a TE1 - and Martellus Bennett has to be considered the same.

DAL - QB Tony Romo will remain the starter
Source: DallasCowboys.com
Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo (back) is expected to undergo an MRI on Monday, Oct. 10, and owner/general manager Jerry Jones once again confirmed Romo will remain the starter when he is cleared to return despite the play of rookie Dak Prescott.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The Cowboys are not coming off their stance that Romo will be the main guy when he returns. However, with every game that goes by with Prescott impressing that becomes a larger question mark.

DEN - Gary Kubiak has migraine condition
Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
Denver Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak will be released from the hospital Monday, Oct. 10, after he was diagnosed with a complex migraine condition.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
It sounds like Kubiak is going to be ok but he will take this week off. The Broncos travel to play the San Diego Chargers in Week 6 and will be without Kubiak. Per NFL.com, "Special teams coordinator Joe DeCamillis has been elevated to interim head coach. Elway said that promoting the special teams coordinator was the most seamless way to reorganize the staff with offensive coordinator Rick Dennison taking on full-time play calling duties and Wade Phillips calling the defense."

BAL - Marc Trestman fired
Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter
Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Marc Trestman was fired Monday, Oct. 10, and replaced by Marty Mornhinweg, according to league sources.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Trestman did not stick with the rushing attack like the team wanted, so they let him go after just over a season as the team's offensive coordinator. Mornhinweg should feed the RBs plenty and set things up for Joe Flacco to launch deep passes. Your Terrance West stock (and perhaps Kenneth Dixon) just got a boost.

GB - WR Randall Cobb should play
Source: Packer Report
Green Bay Packers WR Randall Cobb (head) should be good to go for Week 6 despite suffering a head injury late in the Packers' Week 5 contest against the New York Giants.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
We'll see Cobb limited during the week of practice. By Friday, we should have a good idea about his availability. Fantasy owners should consider Cobb a WR3/flex option going forward.

SD - RB Melvin Gordon still the man
Source: The San Diego Union-Tribune - Michael Gehlken
San Diego Chargers RB Melvin Gordon will continue to be the Chargers' lead running back despite lost fumbles, according to head coach Mike McCoy. Gordon fumbled six times in his rookie season and has fumbled twice so far this year.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
What other choice do the Chargers have? Gordon is having a great season, but he's got a tough match against the Broncos on Thursday night. Look for him to put up low-end RB1 numbers in Week 6.

CIN - RB Jeremy Hill will practice this week
Source: The Cincinnati Enquirer - Jim Owczarski
Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill (shoulder) will be ready to practice Wednesday, Oct. 12, according to head coach Marvin Lewis. Hill suffered a shoulder injury in Week 5 against the Dallas Cowboys.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The Bengals travel to play the Patriots in Week 6. Having Hill would be helpful for an offense that wants to keep Tom Brady cold on the sideline. If Hill can't play or is limited, then Gio Bernard would get a larger workload.

ARI - QB Carson Palmer should clear protocol
Source: The Arizona Republic - Kent Somers
Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer (concussion) is expected to clear the concussion protocol Tuesday, Oct. 10, according to head coach Bruce Arians.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The Cardinals are at home to take on the Jets on Monday night. Palmer should be able to put up QB1 numbers against a Jets secondary that gives up an average of 302.4 yards per game (31st in the NFL).

CLE - QB Josh McCown to resume practicing
Source: News 5 Cleveland
Cleveland Browns QB Josh McCown (shoulder) is expected to return to practice this week, and he may be a candidate to play in Week 6, based on comments from head coach Hue Jackson on Monday, Oct. 10.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
With Cody Kessler also banged up, the Browns may just see who is best to start going forward. We think Kessler could get one more week as the starter.

CHI - Chicago not addressing QB situation
Source: Chicago Bears Radio Network - Zach Zaidman
Bears QB Brian Hoyer threw for over 300 yards for the third time in as many starts in a Week 5 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, but head coach John Fox refused to speculate on his quarterback's job status going forward because Jay Cutler (thumb) 'is not healthy'.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
AS of right now, it looks like this is Hoyer's job to lose. Fox likes to keep things close to the vest, so nobody should be sure of what's to come with the Bears. Hoyer should stick as the starter with the way that he's been playing.

CLE - QB Cody Kessler OK
Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
Updating earlier reports, Cleveland Browns QB Cody Kessler (ribs) checked out OK, and he's expected to play in Week 6 against the Tennessee Titans.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Good news for the rookie QB here. That means Charlie Whitehurst will go back to holding a clipboard as the backup behind Kessler.

MIA - QB Ryan Tannehill remaining the starter
Source: The Miami Herald - Armando Salguero
Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill will remain the starter for the rest of the season, according to head coach Adam Gase.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The fact that we're even having that question shows you just how bad things are for Miami. Tannehill is not thriving under Gase, and the team might have to make a change -- either at QB or with their head coach.

DEN - QB Trevor Siemian likely back for Week 6

Denver Broncos QB Trevor Siemian (shoulder) is expected back for the Week 6 game Thursday, Oct. 13.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Siemian was close to playing in Week 5 against the Falcons, but the team chose to shut him down. On a short week (the Broncos travel to San Diego for Thursday Night Football), Siemian should be rested up and ready to go.
