NFL Player News - Week 15

SEA - RB Fred Jackson will be third-down back

Source: The Seattle Times - Bob Condotta

Seattle Seahawks RB Fred Jackson will continue to be the team's third-down back, according to head coach Pete Carroll.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Keep this in mind if you're rushing to the waiver wire to replace Rawls. RBs DuJuan Harris and Bryce Brown are candidates to fill RB Thomas Rawls' (ankle) role in the running game.

CIN - QB Andy Dalton week-to-week

    Source: ESPN - Lindsay Patterson

Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton (thumb) is considered week-to-week and will wear a cast on his fractured throwing thumb, according to head coach Marvin Lewis.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The thumb injury won't require surgery, but most reports are that it could be a few weeks or more before we see Dalton back on the field for the Bengals. In the meantime, they'll turn to A.J. McCarron as their starter.

CAR - TE Greg Olsen, RB Jonathan Stewart are fine

Source: The Associated Press - Steve Reed

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (knee) and RB Jonathan Stewart (foot) are fine after undergoing precautionary MRIs Monday, Dec. 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Panthers are on a roll as they remain the lone undefeated team in the NFL. We're likely to see both veterans get a bit of rest during the week of practice, but both should be available to play in Week 15.

TB - WR Vincent Jackson to miss some time

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Vincent Jackson (knee) will miss several games with a medial collateral ligament sprain. His availability depends on if the Buccaneers make the postseason.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bad news for the veteran receiver here. Jackson's been banged up this year, but he's had a few good games. If his regular season is over, then Jackson will finish 2015 with 33 catches for 543 yards and three touchdowns.

IND - QB Matt Hasselbeck should start

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Indianapolis Colts QB Matt Hasselbeck (ribs, arm) should be healthy enough to start in Week 15, according to head coach Chuck Pagano.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We're a little bit too early to feel confident that will be the case. Hasselbeck should be limited in practice this week. If he can't play, then Charlie Whitehurst might be the team's starter in Week 15. There's also an outside chance that Andrew Luck will be ready...but we're not counting on that.

DAL - QB Matt Cassel will start

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Dallas Cowboys QB Matt Cassel will start in Week 15, according to head coach Jason Garrett.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This is the choice you make when Brandon Weeden is your only viable option. Expect the passing-game struggles of the Cowboys to continue.

DEN - QB Brock Osweiler expected to start

Source: USA TODAY Sports - Lindsay H. Jones

Updating a previous report, Denver Broncos QB Brock Osweiler is still expected to start in Week 15 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but head coach Gary Kubiak was reluctant to make the announcement Monday, Dec. 14, without knowing if QB Peyton Manning (foot) will practice this week.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The loss to the Raiders shouldn't be pegged on Osweiler. He wasn't helped by a poor offensive line and receivers dropping too many passes. Kubiak was set to meet with Manning Monday and talk to the team trainers before making a decision on Manning's status. Manning threw last week but hasn't practiced since before Nov. 15.

IND - QB Andrew Luck not 100%

Source: ESPN - Chris Mortensen and Adam Schefter

Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck (kidney) is hoping to practice this week but isn't 100% healthy yet. Luck maintains that he will play again this year, but the Colts didn't expect him to return in Week 15 against the Houston Texans as recently as last week. Indianapolis is handling Luck as carefully and cautiously as they can.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Doctors know that Luck can't risk raising his heart rate, which would pump more blood through his kidneys and delay the healing process. Luck is unable to run still, and the Colts don't have a specific timetable for how long he'll be out. It doesn't look like he's close to returning anytime soon.

CIN - QB A.J. McCarron starting in Week 15

    Source: NFL.com - Chase Goodbread

Cincinnati Bengals QB A.J. McCarron will receive the start in Week 15 against the San Francisco 49ers. He'll be trying to become the first Alabama quarterback to win an NFL start since 1987, when Jeff Rutledge beat the Philadelphia Eagles.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Alabama hasn't been a quarterback factory for the NFL. McCarron has a gunslinger mentality, and there's not a throw that he thinks he can't make. This confidence is a good and bad thing. McCarron will fire passes that he should have no business throwing, but he's giving his teammates a chance to make a play. It should be a wild ride with a daring and inexperienced quarterback like McCarron under center.

KC - RB Spencer Ware undergoes X-rays

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Kansas City Chiefs RB Spencer Ware (ribs) underwent X-rays on the injured ribs he suffered during the team's Week 14 game, but they came back negative.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Rib injuries are always tricky to come back from as it essentially comes down to pain tolerance. Right now, Ware reportedly has bruised and swollen ribs and is dealing with pain.

NYJ - Coach hopes QB Ryan Fitzpatrick re-signs

Source: New York Daily News - Manish Mehta

New York Jets head coach Todd Bowles said he hopes that QB Ryan Fitzpatrick re-signs with the team this offseason.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fitzpatrick should stick around so long as OC Chan Gailey is there. In two stops now (Bills, Jets), Gailey has gotten the best out of Fitzpatrick.

PIT - TE Heath Miller targeted often recently

    Source: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler

Pittsburgh Steelers TE Heath Miller has been targeted 42 times over his last five games.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The connection between Miller and Ben Roethlisberger is undeniable. Against the Broncos in Week 15 (a team historically weak against the tight end), Miller could have another solid day.

WAS - WR DeSean Jackson day-to-day

    Source: NFL.com

Washington Redskins WR DeSean Jackson (knee) is day-to-day with a patella contusion, according to head coach Jay Gruden.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fantasy owners should have other plans in place. Jackson had a touchdown grab in three of the previous four games, but he only had two catches for 43 yards against the Bears in Week 14.

CLE - CB Joe Haden placed on IR

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Cleveland Browns CB Joe Haden (concussion) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Monday, Dec. 14, according to a source. He is out for the season.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

A rough way for Haden to end his season. He hadn't been on the field for the Browns since Week 5 due to this concussion. The good news is that he'll have plenty of time to heal before getting back in action next year during minicamp.

HOU - QB Brian Hoyer doubtful for Week 15

    Source: ESPN.com

Houston Texans QB Brian Hoyer (concussion, neck, wrist) is doubtful to play in Week 15 against the Indianapolis Colts after he suffered his second concussion of the season in Week 14, according to head coach Bill O'Brien.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hoyer was sacked five times against the New England Patriots on Sunday night. He suffered memory loss when he had a concussion against the Cincinnati Bengals Nov. 16. QB T.J. Yates is being prepared to start against the Colts.

BAL - QB Ryan Mallett joining Baltimore

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Free-agent QB Ryan Mallett (Texans) will be signing an undisclosed deal with the Baltimore Ravens Monday, Dec. 14, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Mallett has a big arm but little control as a passer. The Ravens started Jimmy Clausen in Week 14 as Matt Schaub was banged up. We're unlikely to see Mallett see the field for the Ravens unless injuries further plague the position.

CLE - WR Brian Hartline to have surgery Tuesday
Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot
Updating a previous report, Cleveland Browns WR Brian Hartline (collarbone) will undergo surgery on his broken collarbone Tuesday, Dec. 15.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Bad news for a player who had been coming on over the last month of the season. On Sunday against the 49ers, Hartline had eight catches for 107 yards. He'll miss the rest of the season.

I may have to cancel my Red Zone when it's Cassel, Checkdown Charlie, Gabbert, Matt Ryan, any Baltimore Qb after Flacco and any Eagles Qb I'm always subjected to. NFL really needs to consider contraction.

    Wednesday Update

NE - RB LeGarrette Blount out for the year

    Source: NFL.com - Gregg Rosenthal

The team will place running back LeGarrette Blount on season-ending injured reserve, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported according to sources informed of the injury. Blount suffered a hip injury in Sunday's win over the Texans.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

There were some questions about whether Blount might return later but he appears to be done.

SEA - RB DuJuan Harris cut

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Seattle Seahawks RB DuJuan Harris was released Tuesday, Dec. 15, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Well, okay then. The Seahawks added Bryce Brown and he could be the main back with Fred Jackson working as a change-of-pace back going forward. Some reports have Marshawn Lynch expected to be out around two more weeks but there isn't a firm time table for his return.

DEN - QB Peyton Manning won't start, will practice

Source: The Denver Post - Troy E. Renck

Updating a previous report, Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning (foot) is expected to practice Wednesday, Dec. 16, but he will not be starting this weekend and is likely to remain inactive for Week 15.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Manning is getting closer, and the Broncos will have an interesting decision coming up next week. Osweiler starts this week, but if he struggles the team could go back to Manning for their Week 16 game against the Bengals.

CAR - TE Greg Olsen has sprained knee

    Source: ESPN.com - David Newton

Updating previous reports, Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (knee) is dealing with a sprained left knee, but he said that his MRI exam showed no significant damage.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Olsen plans to play in Week 15 against the New York Giants if he doesn't have setbacks in practice this week. Stay tuned.

SEA - Thomas Rawls to IR

    Source: NFL.com

Seattle Seahawks RB Thomas Rawls (ankle) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Tuesday, Dec. 15, after fracturing his ankle in Week 15. He is out for the rest of the season.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Seahawks are moving forward with Bryce Brown and Fred Jackson in their backfield. Marshawn Lynch should return in a week or two as he recovers from a sports hernia. The word out of Seattle is that Jackson would continue as the change-of-pace back with Brown perhaps as the lead back.

MIA - RB Lamar Miller not injured

Source: The Palm Beach Post - Andrew Abramson

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller said he didn't know why he only received five carries in the second half Sunday, Dec. 13, but said he wasn't injured.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

He was seen having his ankles looked at, but he said he was merely getting taped up. Miller had seven carries for 69 yards (9.9 yards per rush) and two touchdowns in the first half.

DAL - WR Dez Bryant won't be shut down

Source: The Dallas Morning News - Jon Machota

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (foot, knee) will not be shut down, according to owner Jerry Jones.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fantasy owners have to consider other options during the fantasy playoffs. Bryant has disappointed this season as he's battled with these injuries. We can only recommend him as a low-end WR2 or flex play going forward.

ARI - RB Andre Ellington progressing

    Source: ESPN.com - Josh Weinfuss

Arizona Cardinals RB Andre Ellington (toe) is making progress with his turf toe. Ellington said he can tell if he's progressing by how much pain he feels when he walks.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

A turf toe injury can linger if not given enough time to properly heal. Ellington said he wants to play this weekend, but admitted that he's not 100 percent yet. Add him via the waiver wire if he's out there just in case he starts earning a larger role now that he's back in action.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Vincent Jackson (knee) missed practice for the second straight day Tuesday, Dec. 15.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jackson (knee) will not have surgery on the medial collateral ligament sprain in his knee and could return before the end of the regular season.

ATL - QB Matt Ryan has opportune matchup Sunday

    Source: USA TODAY Fantasy Sports

Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan will be facing a Jacksonville Jaguars defense in Week 15 that has allowed the seventh-most passing yards (3,621) and touchdowns (24). They also have only seven interceptions as a team, which is tied for the third-fewest in football.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We trust Julio Jones...regardless of the matchup...but we have a difficult time trusting Ryan. You should have better options for the second week of the fantasy playoffs.

BUF - TE Charles Clay in jeopardy?

Source: The Buffalo News - Jay Skurski

Buffalo Bills TE Charles Clay's (back) status for Week 15 against the Washington Redskins is in jeopardy after he suffered a back injury in Week 14. 'I know they're looking at him,' head coach Rex Ryan said of Clay and the team's trainers. 'I always tell you it's never a good thing when you don't finish a game. I don't know if we've had one guy not finish a game and play the next week. I'm not saying it can't happen, but sometimes it's not a good sign.'

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We'll know more about his status as the week of practice goes on. Make sure to have other options at the ready in your fantasy league.

BUF - RB Karlos Williams could be shut down

Source: The Buffalo News - Jay Skurski

Buffalo Bills RB Karlos Williams (shoulder) and CB Stephon Gilmore (shoulder) could be shut down for the rest of the year with their playoff chances hanging by a thread.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bills coach Rex Ryan said Gilmore is doubtful to play in Week 15 against Washington after missing Week 14. Ryan said Gilmore's shoulder is dislocated. Williams' status is less certain until the week progresses.

STL - St. Louis committed to RB Todd Gurley?

Source: St. Louis Post-Dispatch - Benjamin Hochman

St. Louis Rams RB Todd Gurley took the game over against the Detroit Lions in Week 14, running for 140 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries, good for an average of 8.8 yards per carry. 'If you give him enough opportunities, he's going to find a way. Rob (Boras, the new offensive coordinator) changed some runs, we made some adjustments at halftime, and they were solid adjustments. Most of his runs, there were a lot of people on the line of scrimmage,' head coach Jeff Fisher said. Gurley went into halftime with just 13 yards on seven carries.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Rams entire offense revolves around Gurley. He's their bellcow, and as we saw last week he's able to take over a game and be incredibly relevant for fantasy owners. Gurley is at least a low-end RB1 each week, and he could help you win your fantasy championship.

Free-agent RB Montee Ball (Broncos) signed with the New England Patriots Tuesday, Dec. 15.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ball was a bust with the Broncos, and we're not expecting him to turn it around with the Patriots. He's on the Pats practice squad, but Ball was reportedly unimpressive when he worked out for the Packers a little over a week ago.

CLE - Cleveland run game evolving

Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot

Cleveland Browns head coach Mike Pettine said the team's running game has shifted from an outside to focus to inside. RB Isaiah Crowell ran for 145 yards and two touchdowns in Week 14 over the San Francisco 49ers. 'We had some pull plays where we were blocking down and kicking out. We ran a good amount of inside zone where I thought the backs had real good vision. We realized our fastball anymore is not the outside zone, and it has transitioned to more of a downhill zone with some complementary gap-scheme runs,' Pettine said.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Where has Crowell been? We love his natural talent as a runner, but the game-script has to unfold where the Browns stay in the game in order for Crowell to keep getting the rock.

    Thursday Update

DEN - QB Peyton Manning officially limited

    Source: ESPN.com - Jeff Legwold

Updating a previous report, Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning (foot) was officially listed as limited in practice Wednesday, Dec. 16. 'He did fine, he did fine,' head coach Gary Kubiak said following the workout. 'Basically we did individual [drills], took a 7-on-7 period, a defensive period, took a step [Wednesday], we'll take a look at [Thursday], probably do a little bit more [Thursday] ... but a step back in the right direction.' Manning looked comfortable throwing the ball in the period of practice open to the media, and he took a full stride in his delivery and jogged from one drill to the next.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Manning won't return this week, but if Brock Osweiler flounders to a loss again this week, we could see Manning return for Week 16 championships against Cincinnati, but he still won't be a good play.

DAL - WR Dez Bryant losing a step?

    Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Rich Cimini

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant had just one catch for nine yards and two drops in bad weather conditions in Week 14 against the Green Bay Packers. New York Jets S Calvin Pryor said Bryant hasn't been the same since his foot injury earlier in the year. 'Sometimes, he catches the ball and he gets downfield, (but) I don't think he has the same closing speed,' Pryor said. 'But not to say that won't happen against us. That's just some things I've seen on film. He's still a tough cover. People are still game planning for him, just like we are. So it's still Dez Bryant.' In five games since his injury, Bryant has just 22 catches for 303 yards and two touchdowns.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We won't blame you if you bench Bryant against the Jets. He's not a top 20 option against Darrelle Revis and he has given us no reason to play him with his play over the last month.

SD - Stevie Johnson misses practice

Source: The San Diego Union-Tribune - Michael Gehlken

Updating a previous report, San Diego Chargers WR Stevie Johnson (groin) did not practice Wednesday, Dec. 16. WR Dontrelle Inman (neck) is ahead of Johnson in his recovery and is doing position drills.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Even just Inman being back would help Philip Rivers, but if Johnson could somehow return for the matchup against the reeling Dolphins pass defense, it would make Rivers an excellent option for Week 15.

Free-agent RB Christine Michael (Redskins) was signed to the Seattle Seahawks' active roster Wednesday, Dec. 16.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Michael has tremendous raw talent, but he has worn out his welcome in three different places this year, although the first one now has him back. Bryce Brown is no major obstacle to playing time, so watch this closely. Michael could be a big Week 16 pickup.

    Source: ESPNBoston.com - Mike Reiss

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bolden would be similar to Tim Hightower, a low ceiling/high volume RB2/Flex, but against the tough Titans and Jets fronts, the low ceiling is lower.

Kansas City Chiefs RB Spencer Ware (rib) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 16.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Until we hear otherwise, Charcandrick West will get the start and most of the work for the Chiefs. The Ravens run defense is stingy, but West can contribute a lot of as a receiver and should get a scoring opportunity or two.

Updating a previous report, Indianapolis Colts QB Matt Hasselbeck (back, ribs) was resting in practice Wednesday, Dec. 16, and head coach Chuck Pagano is hoping to have Hasselbeck back at practice Thursday, Dec. 17, and to play in Week 15 against the Houston Texans.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It sounds like a Charlie Whitehurst start in the game to determine who will be in first place in the AFC South with two games left is still in play.

OAK - WR Amari Cooper sits out

    Source: Raiders.com

Oakland Raiders WR Amari Cooper (foot) did not practice Wednesday, Dec. 16.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Cooper being held without a catch last week might not just be due to the excellence of the Broncos defense. We'll watch his status closely to determine whether he's a safe play even in a good matchup with the Packers.

OAK - Wednesday practice report for Week 15

    Source: Raiders.com

Oakland Raiders OT Austin Howard (knee), RB Taiwan Jones (knee), DE Khalil Mack (knee) and S Charles Woodson (shoulder) did not practice Wednesday, Dec. 16. S Nate Allen (knee) and CB Neiko Thorpe (neck) were limited, while DE Shelby Harris (ankle) practiced in full.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Mack was a force of nature against the Broncos last week, so we'll watch his status closely to see how it might affect the matchup with the Packers this weekend.

DEN - No practice for TE Owen Daniels

    Source: NFL

Denver Broncos TE Owen Daniels (knee) did not take part in practice Wednesday, Dec. 16.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's probably just veteran rest for Daniels, but it is clear that Vernon Davis is still better play of the two Denver tight ends this weekend.

PIT - TE Heath Miller does not practice

    Source: Steelers.com

Pittsburgh Steelers TE Heath Miller (rib) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 16.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Miller was able to play last week with the injury and catch 10 balls. As long as he's on the field against the Broncos and their somewhat soft defense against the tight end, Miller will be a solid TE1 play, especially in PPR leagues.

CIN - TE Tyler Eifert in concussion protocol

    Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Josh Alper

Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (concussion) is in the league's concussion protocol and must be cleared in order to play against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 15. The Bengals may choose to hold Eifert out and avoid having him fly to and from California this week. TE Tyler Kroft started two weeks ago at tight end.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Sounds like we should expect to be without Eifert this week. The Bengals can certainly win without him. The rookie Kroft is only a deep desperation play with Eifert and Andy Dalton out.

MIN - Week 15 Wednesday practice report

    Source: NFL

Minnesota Vikings LB Anthony Barr (groin, hand), DE Scott Crichton (concussion, neck), DE Everson Griffen (shoulder) and DT Linval Joseph (foot) did not practice Wednesday, Dec. 16. S Andrew Sendejo (knee), S Harrison Smith (knee, hamstring) and LB Brandon Watts (ribs) were limited. S Robert Blanton (knee) participated fully.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Smith being back is some improvement for a Vikings defense that has been without some key performers in recent weeks, but Joseph is key to the run defense and Barr is a do-everything linebacker they have sorely missed. Griffen is the best edge rusher, so there's some important injury updates coming up later this week before the game with the Bears.

JAX - RB T.J. Yeldon misses practice Wednesday

Jacksonville Jaguars RB T.J. Yeldon (knee) did not practice Wednesday, Dec. 16.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Yeldon is almost certainly out this week, and his owners will be fortunate if he returns for Week 16 against the Saints.

CHI - No practice for TE Zach Miller

    Source: NFL

Chicago Bears TE Zach Miller (illness) did not practice Wednesday, Dec. 16.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Miller should be fine for the tilt with the Vikings, but check back later this week. Since Martellus Bennett has gone out, Miller is approaching fantasy TE1 status with the Bears.

JAX - WR Allen Hurns doesn't practice

    Source: NFL.com

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns (thigh) did not take part in practice Wednesday, Dec. 16.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hurns has been on the injury report with so many injuries that it is hard to keep track this year, but he has played and produced through almost all of them. As long as he gets back in at least limited practice before the end of the week, he'll a be viable WR3/Flex against the Falcons.

NO - RB Kendall Hunter joining Saints

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Free-agent RB Kendall Hunter (49ers) is signing with the New Orleans Saints Wednesday, Dec. 16, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This isn't great news for Tim Hightower, but it could simply be a depth signing right now with Marcus Murphy going on IR this week.

BUF - TE Charles Clay doesn't practice

    Source: BuffaloBills.com

Buffalo Bills TE Charles Clay (back) did not take part in practice Wednesday, Dec. 16.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Robert Woods would become a better sleeper wide receiver if Clay is out.

NE - WR Julian Edelman looks quick in practice

Source: The Boston Globe - Jim McBride

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (foot) looked 'crisp and quick' in practice Wednesday, Dec. 16, according to The Boston Globe's Jim McBride.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Edelman could return this week, but he wouldn't be a must play despite the matchup against the Titans because the Patriots could ease him back in coming off of his foot injury. Hopefully, he'll play and look good this week, and his owners who make the title game in Week 16 can use him.

BAL - QB Ryan Mallett could see the field

    Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley

Baltimore Ravens QB Ryan Mallett could see the field this year, according to head coach John Harbaugh. 'He's on the team. He absolutely has a chance,' Harbaugh said.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Mallett will work with Marc Trestman and if he does stick with the team, he could get a lot of work in the offseason with Joe Flacco rehabbing from a torn ACL.

Rookie Maxx Williams will get a lot more work down the stretch, but he's still a desperation play.

If Edelman plays, I'm starting him. I don't think the Pats would rush him back if he wasn't good to go for a full snap count... especially against the Titans.

SEA - Trio to split RB workload
    Source: ESPN.com - Sheil Kapadia
Seattle Seahawks RB Bryce Brown and RB Christine Michael are expected to share the early down carries in Week 15 with RB Fred Jackson in on third downs, in the opinion of ESPN.com's Sheil Kapadia.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

So basically, don't start these guys as you have no idea how the split will go. If you're in a pinch, Jackson might at least vulture some touchdowns and be an RB5.

ARI - WR Michael Floyd earning trust

Source: The Arizona Republic - Kent Somers

Arizona Cardinals WR Michael Floyd is coming down with more '50-50' balls than in previous seasons, according to head coach Bruce Arians, and QB Carson Palmer said he is more willing to take chances to Floyd.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Floyd has been producing, even though fellow Cardinals receiver essentially called him lazy in an interview this week. He's not polished, which you see in his route running, but he keeps getting the job done. He will again this week against the Eagles, and is a good WR2 start this week.

BUF - Lukewarm endorsement for QB Tyrod Taylor

    Source: SI.com - Jenny Vrentas

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor was not endorsed as the long-term solution at quarterback by general manager Doug Whaley. 'Let's put it this way,' Whaley said. 'He's shown us enough that we can obviously keep trying with him. But it won’t preclude us from going out and protecting ourselves [in case] he's not.'

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Bills aren't going to tip their hand, but then again there is no Andrew Luck in this draft class, or at least not one we can see. Taylor has been a pleasant surprise this season and had some great moments, but he's been uneven as well. This week he faces a Washington defense which can be passed on, so we have him as a solid QB2. Long term, the Bills would be wise to at least bring in a developmental prospect.

NYG - WR Odell Beckham Jr. to work from slot?

    Source: NJ.com - Jordan Raanan

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. could run more routes from the slot against the Carolina Panthers in Week 15 in order to avoid being covered by CB Josh Norman, who has remained on the perimeter even when opposing No. 1 receivers have lined up in the slot.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It wouldn't be a bad idea, especially if they can get him the ball quickly on slants and drag routes. He's so amazing just catching the ball that we forget he can run after the catch as well. We see Beckham as a solid WR1 this weekend.

SF - WR Anquan Boldin practices in full

    Source: 49ers.com

San Francisco 49ers WR Anquan Boldin (hamstring) fully participated in practice Thursday, Dec. 17.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Boldin is the closest thing to reliable in this offense and he's just a WR5. If you need someone he'll get you some points, but keep the expectations low.

SF - WR Torrey Smith misses practice

    Source: 49ers.com

San Francisco 49ers WR Torrey Smith (back, toe) did not participate in practice Thursday, Dec. 17.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Like much of the 49ers offense, Smith isn't anyone you want to start. He's a WR8 with some luck, so stay away.

OAK - WR Amari Cooper back at practice

    Source: Raiders.com

Oakland Raiders WR Amari Cooper (foot) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 17.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Cooper gave his owners a big old donut last week, and he could have some issues against a decent Green Bay defense. He seems to be hitting the rookie wall and is banged up, so he's no more than a borderline WR3/WR4 this week.

MIA - WR Rishard Matthews pushing to return

    Source: Sun-Sentinel - Omar Kelly

Miami Dolphins WR Rishard Matthews (ribs) has been cleared to practice for the first time in two weeks, and he's pushing to return to action in Week 15 against the San Diego Chargers. Matthews missed the last two games because he couldn't run without pain, but his breathing issues have subsided.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Matthews is still dealing with broken ribs, so we're not sure how much work he can do as he is still recovering. He's an upside WR6 this week and we don't think the Dolphins will push him too hard if he's in pain.

SD - Stevie Johnson out again

    Source: NFL

San Diego Chargers WR Stevie Johnson (groin) did not participate in practice Thursday, Dec. 17.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

There's just nothing left at wide receiver, is there? Well, Malcom Floyd is back but no more than a WR5 and a "what the heck flex" guy. Johnson is not worth the start if he even practices, which we aren't expecting.

KC - Full practice for TE Travis Kelce

    Source: KCChiefs.com

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce (groin, quadriceps) practiced in full for the second straight day Thursday, Dec. 17.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Kelce is coming off a down week against San Diego but we have him bouncing back against Baltimore. Start him as a nice TE1 play.

KC - RB Spencer Ware not present

Kansas City Chiefs RB Spencer Ware (rib) missed practice for the second straight day Thursday, Dec. 17.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ware is unlikely to play and even if he does, he might not play much. Start Charcandrick West who should put up high-end RB2 numbers and whose floor is super-high this week.

ARI - WR Larry Fitzgerald limited

    Source: NFL

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (ankle) was limited in practice Thursday, Dec. 17.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fitzgerald is in a tremendous passing offense, surrounded by weapons with a legitimate quarterback and playing an inconsistent defense. What's not to like? Start him as a WR2 and be happy.

BAL - QB Matt Schaub has full practice

    Source: BaltimoreRavens.com

Updating a previous report, Baltimore Ravens QB Matt Schaub (chest) put in a full practice Thursday, Dec. 17, after being limited Wednesday, Dec. 16.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Put your helmet back down Jimmy Clausen, Schaub might be back! It doesn't make much of a difference for fantasy GMs though as we would avoid both of them as no better than a QB3 this week against a tough Kansas City defense.

ARI - RB Andre Ellington sitting Thursday

    Source: NFL

Arizona Cardinals RB Andre Ellington (toe) did not practice for a second straight day Thursday, Dec. 17.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We're not sure he'll play at all, which keeps David Johnson in the driver's seat as a great RB1 option.

MIA - RB Lamar Miller listed as limited

    Source: NFL

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller (ankle) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 17.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Miller has really captured the overall starting job in Miami this year and could end up making some cash because of it. This week he faces a San Diego Chargers run defense which struggle and that means not only is a he a tremendous RB2 but one whose ceiling is incredibly high.

IND - QB Andrew Luck was limited Thursday

    Source: NFL

Updating a previous report, Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck (abdomen, kidney) put in a limited practice Thursday, Dec. 17.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hasselbeck is still on the fence, but either he or Charlie Whitehurst—not Luck—will be under center against Houston. We would avoid any of them this week as they are no better than a low-end QB3.

HOU - RB Alfred Blue, RB Chris Polk ready to go

    Source: NFL

Houston Texans RBs Alfred Blue (back) and Chris Polk (knee) both practiced in full for the second straight day Thursday, Dec. 17.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Blue has never produced this year and Polk will likely get the bulk of the carries. Even so, Polk is no more than an RB4 even against a terrible Colts defense.

DEN - WR Emmanuel Sanders fully practices

    Source: NFL

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (finger) fully participated in practice Thursday, Dec. 17.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Sanders had bad case of Ted Ginn Jr this past weekend, as he dropped more than a few balls thrown his way. He wasn't the only one either and the team will have to do much better this week if they want to beat Pittsburgh. We see him as a borderline WR3/WR4 this week until we get our faith renewed.

PIT - TE Heath Miller back to full practice

    Source: NFL

Pittsburgh Steelers TE Heath Miller (rib) took part in a full practice Thursday, Dec. 17, after being held out Wednesday, Dec. 16.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Miller is a sneaky play this week as most people ignore the Steelers tight end. Start him as a low-end TE1 and you will see some nice production, and in daily fantasy, get it at a low price.

DEN - RB Ronnie Hillman practices in full

    Source: NFL

Denver Broncos RB Ronnie Hillman (foot) fully participated in practice Thursday, Dec. 17.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Broncos ground game has been mediocre the last week or so. Can it - and Hillman - bounce back? We don't feel great about it against a tough Pittsburgh defense and we see Hillman as not more than an RB3.

PIT - No practice for RB DeAngelo Williams

    Source: NFL

Pittsburgh Steelers RB DeAngelo Williams (illness) was added to the injury report after he missed practice with an illness Thursday, Dec. 17.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

He'll be fine this weekend and we expect him to carry a full load. Denver is a tough defense, but Williams has produced against them before so he's a good bet to produce again as an RB1.

DEN - RB C.J. Anderson officially limited

Updating a previous report, Denver Broncos RB C.J. Anderson (ankle) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 17.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Anderson has not looked good most of the season and that, on top of the injury, keeps him as an RB5 especially against Pittsburgh.

CHI - WR Eddie Royal ready for bigger role?

Source: Chicago Tribune - Brad Biggs

Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal was on the field for 53 of 59 offensive snaps in his return last week after missing five games with a sprained knee, but he had just two targets and caught only one screen pass for 15 yards. QB Jay Cutler said Royal has looked better this week in practice and is regaining his burst.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We've heard this tune before and it ends up pretty discordant with a lot of people tripping over each other on the dance floor. We'll believe it when we see it and so should you - don't have him anywhere in your lineup this week.

CLE - QB Johnny Manziel takes part in practice

    Source: NFL

Cleveland Browns QB Johnny Manziel (elbow) fully participated in practice Thursday, Dec. 17.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Manziel has made some strides but is it enough to snag a win this week? For fantasy we think it won't be, so unless you need a some way chaotic option for a QB3, avoid him.

CHI - Chicago not concerned with WR Alshon Jeffery

Source: Chicago Tribune - Brad Biggs

Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler isn't concerned that WR Alshon Jeffery (illness, calf) sat out of practice Thursday, Dec. 17. Head coach John Fox said it was the illness that kept Jeffery out Thursday. Jeffery has missed five games with hamstring and groin injuries this year. He's gone over 100 yards receiving four times this year and averages 99.6 yards per game, which ranks fourth in the NFL.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Last week Odell Beckham Jr was sick, got an IV and had a great second half, so we know the great ones can shrug off the flu. This is worth keeping an eye on, but we think Jeffery will play and should be a solid starter in fantasy this week as a borderline WR1/WR2.

IND - WR Donte Moncrief back Friday?

    Source: Colts.com

Indianapolis Colts WR Donte Moncrief (toe), who is no longer wearing a walking boot, said he expects to practice Friday, Dec. 18.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Moncrief might play but we don't love the matchup of his quarterback situation. He's no more than a WR5 if he plays.

JAX - RB T.J. Yeldon absent again

    Source: NFL.com

Jacksonville Jaguars RB T.J. Yeldon (knee) did not practice for the second straight day Thursday, Dec. 17.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Yeldon is unlikely to play which leaves Denard Robinson as the starter and he as a matchup that makes him a nice RB2 with RB1 potential this weekend.

JAX - WR Allen Hurns moves to limited practice

    Source: NFL.com

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns (thigh) took part in a limited practice Thursday, Dec. 17, after sitting out Wednesday, Dec. 16.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hurns isn't as consistent as Robinson but he's a great value in daily fantasy as he can produce similar points on occasion for a lot less money. We think Hurns is a solid WR3 with upside this weekend and he should be in your lineup.

BUF - RB Karlos Williams limited

    Source: BuffaloBills.com

Buffalo Bills RB Karlos Williams (shoulder) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 17.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We expect LeSean McCoy to get most of the work regardless of what Williams' status is. McCoy should be a high end RB2 but Williams is a nice deep flex as a low end RB3 as he consistently gets touchdowns even on minimal touches. That being said, it's risky because he won't give you much points without the touchdown.

New England Patriots WRs Julian Edelman (foot) and Danny Amendola (knee) were both limited in practice Thursday, Dec. 17. Edelman's status for Week 15 against the Tennessee Titans will be updated Friday, Dec. 18.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It'd be good fortune if the Patriots got Edelman back though we think they hold him up another week. He'll be a solid WR2 at least when he does show back up. Amendola is a decent WR 2 if Edelman is out but drops closer to a WR4 if he's active.

CHI - TE Zach Miller limited Thursday

    Source: NFL.com

Chicago Bears TE Zach Miller (ribs) was limited in practice Thursday, Dec. 17.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Miller has been somewhat productive with Martellus Bennett out and could serve as a decent TE2 if he's playing.

CAR - Full practice for WR Ted Ginn

    Source: Panthers.com

Carolina Panthers WR Ted Ginn Jr. (non-injury) participated fully in practice Thursday, Dec. 17.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We'd normally make a "was he getting the bricks/pans he has for hands fixed" but he actually made some nice catches last week. He has to replicate it against the Giants, especially with Jonathan Stewart out and Greg Olsen maybe out as well. We don't trust him, making him no more than a hit or miss WR4.

CAR - TE Greg Olsen upgraded to limited

    Source: Panthers.com

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (knee) was a limited participant in practice Thursday, Dec. 17, after not practicing Wednesday, Dec. 16.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

If Olsen plays, you start him as a TE1 since you aren't likely to have a better guy with more upside and because the Giants can be beat by tight ends. The saving grace is that it's an early game at least so you'll know whether he'll play assuming he is a game time decision. We suspect we will know before then though, and if he's out there is nobody else we'd roll out there at tight end for the Panthers.

NYJ - Three Jets fully practice

    Source: NewYorkJets.com

New York Jets WR Eric Decker (knee), QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (thumb) and WR Brandon Marshall (ankle) participated fully in practice Thursday, Dec. 17.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

"All three are good starts this week" is not something anyone thought we'd be typing about the Jets passing offense even as recently as three weeks ago. However, Fitzpatrick is a solid QB1 against Dallas this week, Marshall is a nice WR1 play and Decker is a great WR2 with WR1 upside. The Jets offense is legitimately good for fantasy and NFL purposes.

DAL - WR Dez Bryant has full practice

    Source: DallasCowboys.com

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (foot) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Dec. 17.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It could be a tough day for Bryant. The Jets have a solid secondary and a good pass rush while Bryant has Matt Cassel throwing him the ball and a banged up foot. He should be a decent WR2 through sheer volume but his ceiling is held down by his quarterback play.

DEN - WR Demaryius Thomas being rested

Source: The Denver Post - Troy E. Renck

Updating a previous report, Denver Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas (shoulder, rest) was being rested in practice Thursday, Dec. 17, according to head coach Gary Kubiak.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Thomas hasn't looked right since Brock Osweiler took over and has struggled with drops as well as gaining seperation. The Steelers will challenge him this week and we aren't optimistic about his chances of producing high numbers. At most, Thomas is a borderline WR2/WR3 even if his upside and ability used to bring much better numbers.

PHI - WR Jordan Matthews, QB Sam Bradford practice

    Source: NJ.com - Eliot Shorr-Parks

Philadelphia Eagles WR Jordan Matthews (back) and QB Sam Bradford (shoulder) both practiced in full Thursday, Dec. 17. It is expected that Matthews will play in Week 15 against the Arizona Cardinals.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bradford is a shaky QB3 play against a very good Arizona defense with an outstanding secondary. That secondary, with Patrick Peterson and Tyrann Mathieu in it,is something that will also limit Jordan Matthews' upside to no more than a WR4.

IND - QB Matt Hasselbeck has rib separation

    Source: NFL.com - Kevin Patra

Updating an ongoing story, Indianapolis Colts QB Matt Hasselbeck (ribs, arm) is dealing with a rib separation that is 'incredibly painful.' Hasselbeck is unlikely to be able to throw without pain in his ribs. However, Hasselbeck is still expected to be available in Week 15 against the Houston Texans. The Colts are hoping Hasselbeck can do more in practice Friday, Dec. 18. QB Charlie Whitehurst would receive the start if Hasselbeck can't play.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

"Incredibly painful" is an under-statement. It's like "really bad" doesn't quite describe "The Phantom Menace." Unlike our hopes for "The Force Awakens," our hopes for Hasselbeck to play are not very high. Even if he plays, he isn't a guy we'd start, nor is his replacement, Charlie Whitehurst.

WAS - WR DeSean Jackson limited Thursday

    Source: CSNWashington.com - Tarik El-Bashir

Updating a previous report, Washington Redskins WR DeSean Jackson (knee) was limited in practice Thursday, Dec. 17, and head coach Jay Gruden said Jackson was running around well and took part in individual and team drills.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We suspect he will be able to go though and we hope he can start to get back to where he was in weeks 11 through 13 when he scored a touchdown a game. For this week, we expect WR4 numbers.

CIN - TE Tyler Eifert unlikely this week

    Source: Bengals.com - Geoff Hobson

Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (concussion) is out of practice Thursday, Dec. 17, and he's unlikely to play in Week 15, in the opinion of beat writer Geoff Hobson.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The hits just keep on coming and even against a mediocre San Francisco team his replacement Ryan Hewitt isn't worth a start.

Last time I looked, Brady looked like he was wearing a crown.

Although Dez would certainly be an upgrade over Lafell.

Im sitting Dez in a 14 team league. Rolling with Julio and A.Hurns. Don't see using him in my flex either as I already played D.Martin and have McFadden and L.Murray still to go.

    Saturday Update

CIN - TE Tyler Eifert will miss game

    Source: Bengals.com

Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (concussion) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 18, and has been ruled out for the Week 15 game against the San Francisco 49ers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Rookie Tyler Kroft will get the start in his place, but he's not an advisable play. Jeremy Hill and AJ Green might get their number called more often in the red zone in this one if AJ McCarron can lead the team down there often enough against the 49ers in Santa Clara.

PIT - TE Heath Miller probable

    Source: Steelers.com

Pittsburgh Steelers TE Heath Miller (rib) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 18, and is listed as probable for the Week 15 game against the Denver Broncos.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Miller should get a ton of targets against a ferocious pass rush as Ben Roethlisberger's main checkdown. Also if there's a weakness in Denver's pass defense, it is covering the tight end.

SF - WR Anquan Boldin should play in Week 15

    Source: NFL

San Francisco 49ers WR Anquan Boldin (hamstring) is listed as probable for the Week 15 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Boldin could get a lot of targets with Torrey Smith banged up, making him a flex option in PPR leagues.

    SEA - Seattle backfield unclear

Source: 710 ESPN Seattle - Liz Mathews

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll admitted that no starting running back has been named for Week 15 against the Cleveland Browns, and that everyone will find out come game time. RBs Bryce Brown, Christine Michael and Fred Jackson will all play in some capacity, and Carroll admitted that Brown and Michael are up to speed on the playbook. Even FB Derrick Coleman could see some work.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

No running back is a good play this week against Cleveland, but the quality of the matchup could make Brown a shot in the dark that lands. Michael is worth a pickup in deep leagues in case he asserts himself for Week 16 against St. Louis.

ARI - RB Andre Ellington a game-time decision

    Source: ESPN.com - Josh Weinfuss

Arizona Cardinals RB Andre Ellington (toe) returned to a limited practice Friday, Dec. 18, but is questionable to play against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 15. It was his first time back on the field since suffering a turf toe injury Nov. 29. Ellington will be a game-time decision Sunday night, Dec. 20.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Whether Ellington plays or not, David Johnson is still a solid RB1 this week. Ellington's role and effectiveness will likely be limited.

NE - WR Julian Edelman doubtful to play

    Source: NFL

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (foot) is doubtful to play against the Tennessee Titans in Week 15 after being limited in practice Friday, Dec. 18.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Edelman is definitely on track for a return in the playoffs and maybe even a Week 17 knock the rust off series or three, but he's not in a position to help fantasy teams. Danny Amendola is still a safe high floor WR2 this week.

IND - WR Donte Moncrief questionable

    Source: Colts.com

Indianapolis Colts WR Donte Moncrief (toe) is listed as questionable for Week 15 against the Houston Texans, and he was seen jogging with trainers at practice Friday, Dec. 18. Moncrief has never missed a game in his career.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Moncrief hasn't sounded like someone who is going to play this week. Griff Whalen is likely to have a larger role if you're desperate in a deep league.

IND - QB Andrew Luck rests Friday

    Source: Colts.com

Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck (abdomen, kidney) was sitting out of practice as a rest day Friday, Dec. 18. Luck continues to lift weights and do rehab work.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Luck could return for Week 16, but teams aren't going to take chances with internal organ injuries before they are fully healed, and you won't want to start him in his first week back anyway unless you have no other viable options. If he comes out of this week in one piece, Matt Hasselbeck will probably start Week 16 at Miami.

CHI - WR Alshon Jeffery feels fine

Source: Chicago Sun-Times - Patrick Finley

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (calf, illness) isn't worried by his calf injury and said he feels fine for Week 15 against the Minnesota Vikings. 'I'm good, boss,' Jeffery said.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

You heard him. Jeffery can take over a game and he has still been very productive most of the time when he has played through injuries this year. He's still a WR1 for Week 15 matchups.

WAS - WR DeSean Jackson listed as probable

    Source: NFL

Washington Redskins WR DeSean Jackson (knee) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 18, and is listed as probable for the Week 15 game against the Buffalo Bills.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The probable tag is a go-ahead to play Jackson as your boom/bust WR3/Flex against a Bills defense that just let Nelson Agholor get behind them for a long touchdown last week.

NYG - WR Dwayne Harris likely to play

    Source: NJ.com - Jordan Raanan

The New York Giants are hopeful WR Dwayne Harris (shoulder) can play in Week 15 against the Carolina Panthers despite being listed as questionable, and he seems likely to play. Harris' shoulder was sore after the Week 14 game but kept it to himself most of the week. 'He's a tough guy,' head coach Tom Coughlin said of his third wide receiver.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Harris will be on the spot to produce if Josh Norman keeps Odell Beckham from putting his stamp on this game on Sunday. The slot receiver is only a desperation play, but he has a high ceiling.

OAK - WR Amari Cooper should play

    Source: Raiders.com

Oakland Raiders WR Amari Cooper (foot) was limited in practice for the second straight day Friday, Dec. 18, but is probable for Week 15 against the Green Bay Packers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Cooper is a safe WR2/WR3, but he might not have the WR1 upside he displayed earlier in the year while he is playing through this foot injury.

BAL - Baltimore non-committal on QB

    Source: WNST.net - Luke Jones

Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said he isn't naming a starting quarterback for Week 15 against the Kansas City Chiefs Friday, Dec. 18, even though QB Matt Schaub (chest) is listed as probable. QB Jimmy Clausen is another option to start against the Chiefs. Clausen took at least half of practice repetitions both Wednesday, Dec. 16, and Thursday, Dec. 17, according to offensive coordinator Marc Trestman. Harbaugh said Schaub has a chance to be 100% healthy by Sunday, Dec. 20. It's highly unlikely that QB Ryan Mallett will see playing time Sunday after being signed this week.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Schaub is the better starter for both the Ravens passing game options and the Chiefs D/ST fantasy prospects. We'll be watching this one Sunday morning to help break some ties on close calls.

MIA - WR Jarvis Landry, RB Lamar Miller probable

    Source: MiamiDolphins.com

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (knee) and RB Lamar Miller (ankle) are both listed as probable for Week 15 against the San Diego Chargers. Landry was limited in practice Friday, Dec. 18, while Miller was a full participant.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

There was a scare with Landry missing practice yesterday, but the probable tag is a big reassurance that he'll be available and effective against San Diego.

MIA - WR Rishard Matthews questionable

    Source: MiamiDolphins.com

Miami Dolphins WR Rishard Matthews (ribs) was limited in practice all week and is questionable for Week 15 against the San Diego Chargers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

If Matthews goes this week, DeVante Parker's snaps and targets will likely take a hit and drop him down to desperation play level in Week 15 matchups.

NE - QB Tom Brady questionable for Week 15

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (illness) is officially listed as questionable for Week 15 against the Tennessee Titans. However, his illness doesn't sound like an issue, according to sources.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

As long as he is active, he'll be in your lineup, unless you also own someone like Cam Newton or Russell Wilson.

KC - RB Spencer Ware's status in question

    Source: KCChiefs.com

Kansas City Chiefs RB Spencer Ware (rib) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 18, and is listed as questionable for the Week 15 game against the Baltimore Ravens.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ware getting in just one limited practice this week doesn't bode well for his availability. He's only a true desperation play if active, and Charcandrick West is the clear better option in the Kansas City backfield this week.

SD - TE Ladarius Green questionable

    Source: Chargers.com

San Diego Chargers TE Ladarius Green (ankle) was limited in practice Friday, Dec. 18, and is questionable for Week 15 against the Miami Dolphins.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Green has been banged up this year after a good start that looked like it might earn him a lot of money on the open market next year. This latest injury is keeping him off of the fantasy radar even though the Chargers are down two starting receivers.

DEN - RB C.J. Anderson questionable

    Source: NFL.com - Jeremy Bergman

Denver Broncos RB C.J. Anderson (ankle) is listed as questionable for Week 15 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Anderson will play, but likely not generate relevant fantasy value, while still cutting into Ronnie Hillman's enough to render him difficult to like this week too.

PIT - RB DeAngelo Williams should play

    Source: Steelers.com

Pittsburgh Steelers RB DeAngelo Williams (illness) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 18, and is listed as probable for the Week 15 game against the Denver Broncos.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The team and Williams both expect him to play. The probable designation is a great sign that this is no worry for Sunday.

JAX - WR Allen Hurns should suit up

    Source: Jaguars.com

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns (thigh) practiced in full Friday, Dec. 18, and is listed as probable for Week 15 against the Atlanta Falcons.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hurns has played well through a myriad of injuries this year. He's a high ceiling WR3/Flex this week against Atlanta.

    SD - Stevie Johnson doubtful

Source: The San Diego Union-Tribune - Tom Krasovic

San Diego Chargers WR Stevie Johnson (groin) is listed as doubtful for Week 15.

And we're even worried about Stevie Johnson in Week 16 with a short week of rest before a Thursday night game.

BUF - Probable tag for WR Robert Woods

    Source: BuffaloBills.com

Buffalo Bills WR Robert Woods (hip) was limited in practice for the second straight day Friday, Dec. 18, but is probable to play against the Washington Redskins in Week 15.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Woods has a higher ceiling with Charles Clay out, but this isn't great news for his outlook against Washington. Sammy Watkins could get a lot of targets this week.

BUF - RB Karlos Williams up in the air

    Source: BuffaloBills.com

Buffalo Bills RB Karlos Williams (shoulder) was limited in practice all week and is questionable against the Washington Redskins in Week 15.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Williams will only serve as a change of pace back from LeSean McCoy if he does play, but this at least makes him rosterable on the potential Week 16 value if his condition improves and McCoy gets hurt this week.

DET - WR Calvin Johnson returns to practice

Source: Detroit Free Press - Dave Birkett

Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson (ankle) was back at practice Friday, Dec. 18.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Johnson was a dud last week, but the matchup with the Saints is a good one for opposing passcatchers and it promises to be a high-scoring prime time game in the Superdome.

SD - WR Dontrelle Inman set to go

Source: The San Diego Union-Tribune - Tom Krasovic

San Diego Chargers WR Dontrelle Inman (neck) practiced again Friday, Dec. 18, and appears he'll be ready for Week 15.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This is a small boost to Philip Rivers as he faces a Miami pass defense that looked very flawed on Monday night in the loss to the Giants.

PHI - WR Jordan Matthews probable

    Source: USA TODAY Fantasy Sports

Philadelphia Eagles WR Jordan Matthews (back) practiced fully Friday, Dec. 18, and he's probable for Week 15.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Matthews will play, but he has only flirted with even a moderate fantasy impact this year and is not a good play against Arizona.

MIA - Miami interested in re-signing RB Lamar Miller

Source: Palm Beach Post - Andrew Abramson

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller's contract is set to expire in March of 2016. According to a source, there is mutual interest in an extension, but Miller said Wednesday, Dec. 16, the Dolphins have yet to approach him about a new deal.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Miami's usage of Miller is baffling, but he is good enough to keep boom/bust RB1 value in this topsy-turvy year at running back. If the Dolphins actually commit to him, he could be elite in fantasy leagues. The presence of Jay Ajayi would complicate things.

IND - QB Matt Hasselbeck probable

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Indianapolis Colts QB Matt Hasselbeck (ribs, arm) is probable for Week 15.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The probable tag is encouraging for the Colts, but the game is clearly catching up with Hasselbeck's body, and we wouldn't be shocked if his day ends early against Houston.

TEN - WR Kendall Wright idle Friday

Source: The Tennessean - Jim Wyatt

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (ribs) is out of practice Friday, Dec. 18.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Wright is highly unlikely to play this week, but there is no Titans receiver to turn to against the underrated Patriots secondary.

DAL - WR Dez Bryant good to go

    Source: USA TODAY Fantasy Sports

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (foot) practiced Friday, Dec. 18, and is probable for Week 15.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bryant is more of a boom/bust WR3/Flex this week with little momentum, poor quarterback play, and a terrible matchup. If you play him it is more on his name and the lack of better options than confidence in his ability this week.

JAX - RB T.J. Yeldon doubtful in Week 15

    Source: NFL.com - Jeremy Bergman

Jacksonville Jaguars RB T.J. Yeldon (knee) has been ruled doubtful for Week 15 against the Atlanta Falcons with a sprained medial collateral ligament in his knee. Yeldon missed practice all week. RB Denard Robinson is expected to start in Yeldon's place.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Yeldon is iffy for next week against New Orleans, and even if he plays, he won't be a safe start. Robinson is a borderline RB1 this week on the strength of his matchup and performance last week after Yeldon went out.

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (knee) is ready to go for Week 15 against the New York Giants.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Olsen is still a top five tight end option this week, but if he tweaks his knee again, the Panthers will likely decide to sit him for the rest of the game again.

BUF - TE Charles Clay unlikely for Week 15

    Source: ESPN.com - Mike Rodak

Buffalo Bills TE Charles Clay (back) is out of practice Friday, Dec. 18, and he's unlikely to play in Week 15.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Robert Woods becomes a better sleeper WR with this news, as he got more targets and notched a 100+ yard receiving game after Clay went out last week.

    Sunday Update

NE - QB Tom Brady should play

Source: CBSSports.com - Jason La Canfora

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (illness) is feeling better Saturday, Dec. 18, and should be able to start in Week 15.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

No worries here. Start Brady as you normally would.

NE - WR Julian Edelman reportedly won't play

Source: Boston Herald - Jeff Howe

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (foot) won't play Sunday, Dec. 20, in Week 15, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

You just never know with Patriots players so let's look for official word Sunday morning. Edelman is close to returning, but fantasy owners should have other options at the ready. If Edelman doesn't play, then Danny Amendola becomes a better start.

NO - WR Marques Colston probable

    Source: NewOrleansSaints.com

New Orleans Saints WR Marques Colston (non-injury) practiced fully Saturday, Dec. 19, and is probable for Week 15.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Colston is coming off a two-touchdown performance last week, but we're only ranking him as a WR5/deep flex play in Week 15 against the Lions.

DET - WR Calvin Johnson sits Saturday

    Source: DetroitLions.com

Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson (ankle) was out of practice Saturday, Dec. 19, and he's questionable for Week 15 Monday, Dec. 21.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Sitting out Saturday is a bit of a concern for fantasy owners. We're still confident that Johnson will be able to put up low-end WR1 numbers on Monday Night Football against a bad Saints defense.

DET - TE Eric Ebron questionable

    Source: DetroitLions.com

Detroit Lions TE Eric Ebron (illness) was out of practice Saturday, Dec. 19, and is questionable for Monday, Dec. 21, against the New Orleans Saints.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ebron makes for a sneaky DFS play this week. The Saints have a weak defense, and they have given up three receiving touchdowns over the last four weeks to tight ends.

GB - WR Davante Adams upgraded

    Source: Packers.com

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams (foot) has been upgraded to probable for Week 15.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

He's upgraded, but fantasy owners should be looking elsewhere. Adams has talent, but he's been underperforming this season. He's only got one receiving touchdown, and he hasn't had a good fantasy day since Week 10 against the Lions when he had 10 catches for 79 yards.

CIN - WR A.J. Green probable

    Source: Bengals.com - Geoff Hobson

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (back) is listed as probable for Week 15 after being added to the injury report Saturday, Dec. 19.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Green might be a better fantasy play with young QB A.J. McCarron running the show. The pair hooked up for over 100 yards and a touchdown last week, so we feel comfortable recommending Green at his normal WR1 levels.

MIA - WR Jarvis Landry close to record

    Source: ESPN.com - James Walker

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry is just two catches away from setting Miami's single-season receptions record. Former Dolphins WR O.J. McDuffie holds the record at 90 catches, set in 1998.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Landry could get that on the first drive.

SF - QB Colin Kaepernick may not return

    Source: CSNBayArea.com - Matt Maiocco

San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick could be on his way out of San Francisco, in the opinion of Matt Maiocco of CSBBayArea.com. Maiocco said it's difficult to come up with a scenario in which Kaepernick and the 49ers agree to maintain their union in 2016.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We think it's past time for Kaepernick to move on. If Kaepernick does not return, QB Blaine Gabbert would likely take over the starting quarterback reins.

    Monday Update:

HOU - QB T.J. Yates out for the season
Source: Houston Chronicle - John McClain
Houston Texans QB T.J. Yates (knee) is believed to have suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament during the team's Week 15 game and will miss the rest of the season.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The Texans are the AFC South leaders and likely to be relying on Brandon Weeden to bring home the division and home playoff game in January.

DEN - QB Brock Osweiler tosses three scores
    Source: ESPN.com
Denver Broncos QB Brock Osweiler completed 21 of 44 passes for 296 yards, three touchdowns and an interception in a 34-27 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 15.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Osweiler started red hot but probably lost his starting job with a poor second half and inability to hold a huge lead. Peyton Manning should be close to ready and we expect to see him next week.

DEN - WR Demaryius Thomas scores twice
    Source: The Associated Press
Denver Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas caught five passes for 61 yards and two touchdowns in a 34-27 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 15.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Thomas was great in the red zone and still had a big game on the strength of that even though Emmanuel Sanders dominated yards and catches. Consider Thomas a high floor WR2 next week against Cincinnati.

PIT - WR Markus Wheaton scores again
    Source: The Associated Press
Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton caught a touchdown pass for the third time in four games, finishing with six catches for 62 yards in a 34-27 win over the Denver Broncos in Week 15.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Wheaton is basically a starter because of the number of three wide sets this team runs. He'll be deserving of flex consideration next week against the Ravens.

MIN - RB Adrian Peterson unsure about MRI
    Source: ESPN.com - Ben Goessling
Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson (ankle) said Sunday, Dec. 20, that he sprained his left ankle in the second quarter of the Week 15 game against the Chicago Bears. He returned in the third quarter, but still might need an MRI Monday, Dec. 21.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Even if Peterson plays next week, it's very possible that he is limited by this injury. You have to play him if he's active, but this casts a shadow over the finals for teams that survived this guy by Peterson. He draws the Giants next week.

PIT - QB Ben Roethlisberger torches Denver
    Source:
Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger completed 40 of 55 passes for 380 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions in a 34-27 win over the Denver Broncos in Week 15.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Roethlisberger had a rough first half, but he and the Steelers talented receivers wore down the fierce Denver defense and broke through enough to win in the end. Roethlisberger rewarded owners that believed in him with such a tough matchup and will reward them again against the soft Ravens pass defense next week.

WAS - TE Jordan Reed posts two touchdowns
    Source: The Associated Press
Washington Redskins TE Jordan Reed had seven receptions for 84 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the Week 15 game against the Buffalo Bills. He was targeted seven times.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Reed is the obvious first read in the red zone for Kirk Cousins, and why should Cousins go away from him. Reed had been able to establish him as a strong TE1 for fantasy leagues heading into a Saturday game against Philadelphia.

WAS - WR DeSean Jackson blows up in win
    Source: The Associated Press
Washington Redskins WR DeSean Jackson rolled up six receptions for 153 yards and a touchdown in the Week 15 game against Buffalo Bills. He was targeted eight times.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Jackson clearly was not affected by his knee bruise. With Kirk Cousins dealing, Jackson should be considered a high ceiling WR2 on Saturday against the Eagles.

WAS - QB Kirk Cousins tosses four touchdowns
    Source: The Associated Press
Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins completed 22 of his 28 pass attempts for 319 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions in the Week 15 game against the Buffalo Bills. Cousins ran three times for 11 yards and a touchdown, too.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Cousins had maybe his best game as a pro in the crucial game for Washington, who controls their own destiny. If they can beat the Eagles and Cowboys on the road in the last two weeks, Washington will host a playoff game. Cousins is a top streaming option against the Eagles in Week 16.

BUF - WR Sammy Watkins posts two touchdowns
    Source: The Associated Press
Buffalo Bills WR Sammy Watkins hauled in five receptions for 111 yards and two touchdowns in the Week 15 game against the Washington Redskins. He was targeted 10 times.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Watkins caught one of his touchdowns in garbage time, but again it was not hard for him to get behind the defense. He'll face Dallas and be a high ceiling WR2 again next week.

BUF - RB LeSean McCoy stuck in neutral
    Source:
Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy rushed 10 times for just 29 yards in the Week 15 game against the Washington Redskins. He also had one reception for eight yards.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
McCoy left the game with a knee injury that is going to threaten his availability against Dallas next week. The Bills won't want to take any chances with their franchise back in a meaningless game.

OAK - WR Amari Cooper impressive in loss
    Source: The Associated Press
Oakland Raiders WR Amari Cooper caught six passes for 120 yards and two touchdowns in a 30-20 loss to the Green Bay Packers in Week 15.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Cooper was battling a foot injury the last few weeks, but it was no problem today against the banged up Packers secondary. He'll be a solid WR2 on Thursday against the Chargers, but he also might draw Jason Verrett.

GB - WR James Jones burns former team
    Source: The Associated Press
Green Bay Packers WR James Jones finished with six catches for a team-high 82 yards and a touchdown in a 30-20 win over the Oakland Raiders in Week 15.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Jones had been fading from view in the second half of the year, but he had a terrific game against his old team this week. He'll be a what the heck flex at Arizona next week.

GB - RB Eddie Lacy stifled in Week 15
    Source: The Associated Press
Green Bay Packers RB Eddie Lacy was held to 23 yards on 11 carries in a 30-20 win over the Oakland Raiders in Week 15.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Lacy has been an extremely difficult player to time the right weeks to start this year. He's just a flex at best heading into a Week 16 matchup at Arizona.

SEA - WR Doug Baldwin in rare company
    Source: The Associated Press
Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin had four catches for 45 yards and two touchdowns in a 30-13 win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 15, joining Jerry Rice as the only receivers to catch 10 touchdowns over four games in the same season.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Baldwin is getting open in the end zone at will and he is the apple of Russell Wilson's eye. Congrats to those that have rode him into the finals.

NYG - Will Tye scores again
    Source: The Associated Press
New York Giants TE Will Tye caught a touchdown for the second straight week in a 38-35 loss to the Carolina Panthers in Week 15, finishing with five catches for 43 yards and the score.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Tye has become a reliable short-range target for Eli Manning. The undrafted rookie should be on your radar in dynasty leagues, and TE streamers already know his name heading into a Week 16 matchup with Minnesota.

NYG - QB Eli Manning's comeback falls short
    Source: The Associated Press
New York Giants QB Eli Manning threw for 245 yards, four touchdowns and one interception in a 38-35 loss to the Carolina Panthers in Week 15.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Manning was held in check for most of the game, but he had a scalding second half and put up a very nice game, using all of his secondary receivers with Odell Beckham shut down by himself and Josh Norman for a lot of the game. The Vikings defense is weakened, making Manning an excellent Week 16 streamer play.

CAR - Two more scores for WR Ted Ginn Jr.
    Source: The Associated Press
Carolina Panthers WR Ted Ginn Jr. had six catches for 85 yards and two touchdowns in a 38-35 win over the New York Giants in Week 15.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Ginn dropped another long score that would have been him one of the very best wide receiver plays of the day. He's creeping into boom/bust WR2 status right in time for league championship week.

CAR - QB Cam Newton tosses five scores
    Source: The Associated Press
Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton threw for 340 yards and five touchdowns and added eight carries for 100 yards in a 38-35 win over the New York Giants in Week 15.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Newton got beat up in this game, but he was lethal as a downfield passer. He's maybe the most valuable fantasy quarterback heading into a Week 16 matchup with Atlanta.

IND - WR Donte Moncrief finds end zone
    Source: The Associated Press
Indianapolis Colts WR Donte Moncrief caught five passes for 51 yards and one touchdown against the Houston Texans in Week 15.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Moncrief wasn't expected to play but was the most potent part of a Colts offense that barely got the engine to turn over today. He's a low WR3/Flex play at best at Miami next week.

BAL - QB Jimmy Clausen delivers mixed numbers
Source: The Associated Press - David Ginsburg
Baltimore Ravens QB Jimmy Clausen was 26 of 45 for a career-high 281 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. One of those interceptions was a pick-six, which sealed the Kansas City Chiefs' 34-14 win.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Clausen continues to look like he belongs in the NFL at least as a competent backup. He had a few throws he would want back in the second half, but he kept a very undermanned Ravens offense somewhat viable through the air. He'll face the Steelers next week unless Matt Schaub is ready to go.

ATL - RB Devonta Freeman returns to end zone
    Source: The Associated Press
Atlanta Falcons RB Devonta Freeman rushed for 56 yards and one touchdown on 25 carries against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 15.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Freeman was totally bottled up in the running game on most plays, but his short touchdown and heavy involvement as a receiver saved his day.

ATL - WR Julio Jones sets franchise record
    Source: The Associated Press
Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones caught nine passes for 118 yards and one touchdown against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 15. Jones has 118 receptions this season, which sets the franchise record in that category.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Jones had a strong day but it was still a very limited day against a bad defense. Next week, Jones faces Josh Norman coming off of a command performance against Odell Beckham.

CHI - RB Matt Forte productive in Week 15
    Source: The Associated Press
Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte rushed for 47 yards on eight carries against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 15. He also caught six passes for 57 yards and one touchdown during the game.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Forte's work as a receiver made for his solid fantasy day because he is still in basically a 50-50 committee in carries and the Bears did not play with the lead today. The Bucs run defense is up next week and they are a tall order, but the running back shortage probably makes Forte an RB2 anyway.

MIN - WR Stefon Diggs scores twice
    Source: The Associated Press
Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs caught three passes for 55 yards and two touchdowns against the Chicago Bears in Week 15.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Diggs made the most of his limited targets, but he'll still just be a flex play going into a great matchup against the Giants next week. He can still get open and find the end zone when he's close, but his opportunities are limited.

MIN - QB Teddy Bridgewater accounts for five TDs
    Source: The Associated Press
Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater went 17-for-20 for 231 yards and four touchdowns against the Chicago Bears in Week 15. He also rushed for 17 yards and one touchdown on four carries during the game.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Bridgewater was flawless in the conservative passing game and fearless leaping for the goal line on his rushing score. He'll be an excellent streamer play against the paper mache Giants defense next week.

TEN - QB Marcus Mariota's status uncertain
    Source: TitansOnline.com - Jim Wyatt
Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota's (knee) status for the Week 16 game against the Houston Texans is uncertain at this point, according to interim head coach Mike Mularkey.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The path to a division title is opening up for the Texans. They could have Brandon Weeden starting a playoff game for them.
