Kevin Love Could Miss At Least Two Weeks

Separated shoulder. Cavaliers would benefit if Bucks/Bulls series could get extended a bit to delay the start of the second round, but Bulls could wrap up that series tonight at home up 3-1.

Kevin Love (dislocated shoulder) will have an MRI on Monday to determine the extent of his injury, but ESPN's Brian Windhorst reports that he will likely miss "a minimum of two weeks."

It seems inevitable that Love will miss games in the second round of the playoffs. We'll await test results before jumping to any far-reaching conclusions, but Tristan Thompson is likely to see the biggest boost if Love is forced to miss any time. James Jones, Mike Miller and possibly Shawn Marion could also see their roles increased, especially if J.R. Smith is suspended for blatantly hitting Jae Crowder in the face on Sunday.

you do not purposely try and dislocate a shoulder. he locked him up try to get or not let love get ball. this is all. time to move on happens every single game.

Will be tougher now for Cleve

I doubt Lebron and Irving can carry them

Ahhh....I hate when things go bad for Lebron. Maybe he can do an ESPN special and tell us how he feels.

Series won't start until at least Saturday.

Says more time for James Jones, Miller and Shawn Marion, but the first two are not PF. What is the depth after Mozgov and Thompson? Perkins? Brendan Haywood? Cavs frontcourt is so thin matching up against a deep, talented Bulls frontcourt.

The Bulls will give the Cavs problems in round 2. Can see it going 7 games.

This is why you don't let soccer players on the basketball court.

Kevin Love is one of the most overrated players in league. He is just a body on this Cavs team. Spot up shooter who can't cover anyone. Hurts Cavs depth but not much else.

Agree Love is over-rated but his absence will drastically play into the hands of the bulls...Noah was going to have to play close to the 3pt line, clearing the way for Kyrie and Lebron to go to the basket at will..Now Noah won't need to leave the paint..To say it makes no difference where Noah is on defense would be laughable

Nonsense. You don't understand matchups. And their depth is nonexistent. A healthy dose of Shawn Marion and Kendrick Perkins is a big problem. Bulls have too much speed.

And no type of fine or reprimand for Olynk??? JR will be getting one. And how the ref's didn't toss Kendrick out is beyond me.

Maybe if the guy worked out like some of these other beasts in the league, he wouldn't be getting hurt all the time. Not that Olnyc is a beast.

Now Lebron can play the 4 they are more dangerous. I would take Shumpert or Dellavadova over Love

now they're saying he's seeking 2nd opinion on shoulder, that usually means the player wants to hear better news than the first prognosis.

lebron not that enthralled with love anyway. basically just a statue out there. but this will cause matchups to change and yannick noah's offspring can stay inside more.

That would be an interesting move for sure. Lebron on Gasol? I'm thinking Shumpert will play a lot. Cavs could get destroyed on the boards though.

2 weeks? What a fcking pussy. My friends shoulder always pops out during ball. He simply pops it back in and keeps playing. It's the fcking playoffs. Everyone has injuries, you tough it out when it matters. What a bitch

That's a different deal yo. That ain't a dislocated shoulder. 2 weeks is actually way low. Didn't Shumpert miss 6 weeks with this? Never ceases to amaze me how many internet doctors there are.

clowns saying love's absent won't affect the cavs...

when a big man can shoot 3s, they stretch the floor. meaning, more room in the paint, more room for lebron and kyrie to drive to the basket.

Not only that, but Cavs are not deep up front and Mozgov and Thompson are not used to playing big minutes. Bulls can rotate 4 big men with different skills at will. Going to be very tough for Cavs to match. Cavs going small with Lebron at the 4 is interesting. Even harder though if they're missing J.R. Smith. If Rose plays Irving to anywhere near a draw, the Cavs are in big trouble. Jimmy Butler is one of the best defensively on Lebron.

Kevin Love Could Miss At Least Two Weeks

With the spread-out playoff schedule he's probably going to miss 2 games.
