It's smart how the Arizona Cardinals avoid drafting a quarterback in the 1st round since 2006.
Ever since Warner got the Cardinals to the super bowl.
And to avoid NFL busts like when they drafted a QB in the first round in 2006.

The Cardinals organization would trade a veteran quarterback through free agency, while using the 1st round draft picks to build their offense and defense.
This strategy is why the Cardinals have been a playoffs contender for the past few seasons.

Overall might be a good strategy, but I believe AZ should have drafted Big Ben with the 3rd pick in the 2004 draft instead of Fitzgerald.

Oh yeah. He is already doing Hopper commercials. He couldn't play for anybody else either. A college football hall of famer who just couldn't stay out of the hot tub instead of cold tub.

Isn't it too late? I thought this was the complete, aka "final" list with the deadline to declare being last week, which is why NFL released this list Monday. Maybe subsequent guys can declare for supplemental draft?

There is a short window to do so yes, (before the draft)but if they sign with an agent eligibility is lost.

it amazes me how many guy declare then don't go in the first 3 rounds. Unless you know for a FACT you are a top 100 pick, go back to school. I know a kid who is a top 20 lock for the 2016 draft and he's smart, he is leaving after his jr year(barring an injury)

Those are SENIORS. They are automatically in the draft, only guys still eligible to play college ball need to declare.

I still think Cardell Jones should have gone pro. Just because one injury could end his career. But I respect his decision

If he is the real deal, his draft stock should rise next year, especially if Braxton Miller transfers to Florida State

It'll backfire on Jones if he doesn't win the job. Let's see.

he will win it i guarantee it.

Even if he doesnt his stock wont drop any bc everybody has already seen what he can do. He will never face a 3 game stretch in the regular season as hard as Wisconsin, Alabama, Oregon.

imagine the type of numbers he would put up against Purdue or Penn State..

He has a big advantage going into spring practice since JT Barrett and Miller are coming off injuries and Jones is 100% healthy and has a ton of confidence.

Good tight end school - quite a few in the NFL. Not sure if they are good at finding them or developing them.
