DEN - Gary Kubiak taking Denver job
Source: CBSSports.com - Jason La Canfora
Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak will take the Denver Broncos head coaching position, as expected, multiple outlets are reporting Sunday, Jan. 18.

Kubiak was a backup quarterback behind John Elway years ago. Now, Elway is the General Manager of the Broncos and Kubiak is his choice to replace John Fox. Kubiak's West Coast system is an interesting fit for Peyton Manning. There are a lot of bootlegs and roll outs that may not be called with Manning under center. At this time, nobody knows if Manning is coming back for 2015. We think he comes back, and gets to play under Kubiak--remember, Manning was considering the Texans after he was released by the Colts in 2012.

Good to hear for Sherman. He clearly was limited in Sunday's game but the extra week off will be a nice bonus.

It's hard to argue against this Seattle defense. If Quinn can work the same kind of magic in Atlanta remains to be seen but the buzz is that he's expected to get his shot.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Great news for the Cardinals here. Palmer is confident that he will be with the team next season, and with $10 million left in dead money on his contract--we're confident as well. The Cardinals were not the same without Palmer on the field.

CLE - May look at WR Cecil Shorts
Source: Canton Repository - Steve Doerschuk
Should Jacksonville Jaguars WR Cecil Shorts hit free agency as an unsigned player, the Cleveland Browns may have interest. Browns played his college ball at Division III powerhouse Mount Union, and he is from the Cleveland area.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Shorts is a good receiver when healthy, but he's struggled with various injuries during his pro career. He's never played a full 16-game schedule in four years with the Jaguars. His 557 receiving yards this year is a low mark over the last three seasons.
