Sunday NFL Recap per FootballGuys (Week 14)

PIT - QB Ben Roethlisberger loves Ohio
    Source: The Associated Press
Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger improved to 18-4 in the state of Ohio with a win in Week 14 against the Cincinnati Bengals. He is now 10-2 in his career at Paul Brown Stadium.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Roethlisberger is from Ohio and went to Miami of Ohio, which is less than an hour away from Cincinnati. He's hot heading into a game at Atlanta next week.

STL - TE Jared Cook evaluated for concussion
    Source: CSNWashington.com - Tarik El-Bashir
St. Louis Rams QB Jared Cook (concussion) left the Week 14 game against the Washington Redskins and was evaluated for concussion.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Cook is coming off of a two score day and facing an Arizona defense that just gave up a nice game to Travis Kelce, so TE streamers will want to watch this closely.

CIN - WR A.J. Green posts career high
    Source: Bengals.com - Geoff Hobson
Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green posted 11 receptions for a career-high 224 yards in Week 14 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The yardage total was also the second most in franchise history. It was Green's 20th 100-yard game, and that's third-most in franchise history.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Green outperformed all of the other first round wide receivers in Week 14. He'll draw Joe Haden next week, who is smarting after giving up a big day to TY Hilton today.

ARI - RB Stepfan Taylor a flop in Week 14
    Source: ESPN
Arizona Cardinals RB Stepfan Taylor made the start in Week 14 against the Kansas City Chiefs in place of the injured RB Andre Ellington (hip), but he had six carries for 19 yards and one reception for seven yards.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Taylor was upstaged by the speedier Kerwynn Williams. He can be dropped in all formats.

ARI - RB Kerwynn Williams runs for 100 yards
Source: FOX Sports Radio 910 - Mike Jurecki
Arizona Cardinals WR Kerwynn Williams carried 19 times for 100 yards in Week 14 against the Kansas City Chiefs. He was activated from the practice squad Friday, Dec. 5, when RB Michael Bush was released.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Williams is a speedy back who played in Robert Turbin's shadow at Utah State. The Cardinals have terrible run matchups the next two weeks (at St. Louis, Seattle) so he's only a desperation pickup.

DEN - QB Peyton Manning's TD streak ends
Source: NFL Red Zone - Scott Hanson
Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning failed to throw a touchdown pass in the Week 14 win against the Buffalo Bills, ending his streak at 54 straight games with a scoring strike.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Manning sunk a lot of fantasy teams today. He's still a player you likely start at San Diego next week if you survived him this week, but you aren't feeling good about it. Manning was mediocre last week, and this week he yielded to CJ Anderson at the goal line three times.

TEN - Zach Mettenberger likely done for year
Source: The Tennessean - Jim Wyatt
Tennessee Titans QB Zach Mettenberger (shoulder) suffered a sprained right shoulder in the Week 14 game against the New York Giants, and it is more significant than the one he suffered in Week 13. All indications are that he is likely done for the season.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Jake Locker will start next week, which means the Jets are worth a look as a team defense pickup, especially if they get Muhammad Wilkerson back.

BAL - WR Torrey Smith used as decoy
Source: The Baltimore Sun - Jeff Zrebiec
Updating a previous report, Baltimore Ravens WR Torrey Smith (knee) had his knee swell during pregame warmups before the Week 14 game against the Miami Dolphins. Inactives had already been set by the time his injury happened. He knew he would be used just as a decoy.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
We were lucky to get some notice of this in pregame warmups, but it took being tuned into twitter and quick on the lineup draw. Next week against Jacksonville is a great matchup, but Smith will be a hard sell after he was listed as probable going into this one.

PIT - Le'Veon Bell having historic run
    Source: ESPN
Pittsburgh Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell has posted 711 yards from scrimmage over the past three games and that's the second-highest in a three-game span in NFL history. Former Chicago Bears RB Walter Payton posted 746 yards in a three-game stretch to hold the record.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Bell is on track be the #1 pick in fantasy drafts next year. The Atlanta Falcons probably won't put up much more resistance next week than his last three opponents.

PHI - RB LeSean McCoy takes franchise lead
    Source: CSNPhilly.com - Geoff Mosher
Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy passed former RB Wilbert Montgomery as the franchise all-time leading rusher in Week 14 against the Seattle Seahawks.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The Eagles came up short Sunday so this doesn't mean a whole lot.

CLE - WR Josh Gordon's reps limited
Source: The Chronicle-Telegram - Scott Petrak
Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon had his reps limited in Week 14 against the Indianapolis Colts. Head coach Mike Pettine said Sunday, Dec. 7, that the staff felt he was getting too many reps, so they took him out on third downs.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Gordon was the engine of the pass offense as soon as he took the field this year, so it doesn't seem to make sense to preserve him with a playoff berth hanging in the balance.

CLE - QB Brian Hoyer expects to start Week 15
Source: The Chronicle-Telegram - Scott Petrak
Cleveland Browns QB Brian Hoyer said Sunday, Dec. 7, after the Week 14 game against the Indianapolis Colts that he was not looking over his shoulder Sunday, and he expects to start in Week 15 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Hoyer didn't do enough to help the Browns win, but the team doesn't seem to want to go to Johnny Manziel. Next week brings the Bengals defense that Ben Roethlisberger and LeVeon Bell took apart today.

IND - WR Reggie Wayne held to just one catch
    Source: RTV6 - Mike Chappell
Indianapolis Colts WR Reggie Wayne had just one reception for five yards in Week 14 against the Cleveland Browns, ending his 82-game streak with three or more receptions.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Wayne is in the twilight of his career, and his drops today accentuated that. If the Colts are aggressive about addressing this, Donte Moncrief could be a good boom/bust WR3/Flex in the final two fantasy football playoff weeks.

DEN - RB C.J. Anderson checks back in
    Source: CBS Sports - Television
Updating a previous report, Denver Broncos RB C.J. Anderson (undisclosed) was able to check back into the Week 14 game against the Buffalo Bills after limping off earlier.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Anderson doesn't look 100%, but he was able to score a third touchdown on the opening drive of the second half, so he must not be too banged up.

WAS - QB Colt McCoy leaves with neck injury
    Source: NFL.com
Washington Redskins QB Colt McCoy (neck) left the team's Week 14 game early because of a neck strain.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Robert Griffin was back on the field replacing McCoy. Week 15 is still up for discussion.

Zach Mettenberger injured his right shoulder again and this time it looks to be worse and Jim Wyatt of The Daily Tennessean is reporting that he's likely done for year. Jake Locker will step back up as the starter and try to salvage some semblance of a career.

Percy Harvin had one of his best games in a long time with a 6-124-1 line, but then injured his ankle in the third quarter as the Jets went on to lose to the Vikings in overtime. He was seen on crutches after the game and the initial thought by beat writers is that the injury could keep him out for the final three games.

Andre Johnson suffered a concussion in the second quarter of Sunday's game against the Jaguars and will go into the NFL’s concussion protocol.

Andre Ellington wasn’t able to play this Sunday due to a hernia and now his season is over, as he will have surgery. He was used as an every down back this season even after injuring his foot early in the season. This season may have scared the Cardinals away from keeping him as an every down back, but it will depend on how well their other running backs step up.

Torrey Smith's knee swelled up during pregame warmups and since he had already been activated the Ravens just ended up using him as decoy. He saw no targets and it doesn’t look as if he did anything to aggravate the injury, so he should be day to day and have a good chance to play next week.

Rashad Jennings ended up being active, but only saw three touches to Andre Williams’ 27 touches. Jennings’ ankle was obviously not 100 percent and Williams played well enough that they didn’t force the issue. He will probably be limited again this week, but his chances to take back the lead back role next week are good.

Ladarius Green was knocked out of the Sunday Night game with a concussion. This has been a lost season for the super sleeper as Antonio Gates had a resurgence as the starter. He still has all the tangibles to be an offensive monster in the future.

Reggie Wayne didn’t need to leave the game with an injury, but after yet another poor game his coach Chuck Pagano told reporter that Wayne is battling knee and elbow injuries as well as a torn triceps.

Colt McCoy was pushed from the game with a strained neck and was sent to the hospital for evaluation. McCoy had been awful the whole game and it’s doubtful he’ll be back as the starter next week.

Roy Helu injured his foot in Washington's loss to the Rams and was unable to return to the game.

    Other Injury Notes:

Cardinals’ defensive back Antonio Cromartie exited the game against the Chiefs with an Achilles injury was carted to the locker room after a non-contact injury. It appeared to be an Achilles, but coach Bruce Arians told reporters it was not, but did not elaborate. . . . Bills’ safety Da'Norris Searcy suffered a hamstring injury against the Broncos. . . . Dolphins’ free safety Louis Delmas is feared to have torn his ACL in his right knee. . . . Buccaneers’ linebacker Lavonte David was forced from the game with a head injury. . . . Chargers punter Mike Scifres was carted off in the second quarter after getting hit hard on a blocked punt. He appeared to hurt his shoulder and possibly his whole body.

Skins are laughingstock of league. 3 qb's have had limited success at best in Gruden's offense.
