I'll have to go check it out. Wish there were day games, I want to shoot some pictures from the boundaries but it's hella tough with the cricket stadium lighting and radius.

Night games almost always better atmosphere sneaker man but as a photographer I can see why you'd want day lighting

I completely agree, the turnaround in day games is nothing compared to night games. That's why only test matches are left in the day, even normal ODIs are usually day/night now.
But to take pics at night, you have to have like $10k+ lens :/

    True that...

Lucky where I live we had the 1st ever day/night international test match last year using a pink ball. The atmosphere was electric with a full stadium for 5 days.

Having another one later this year against South Africa.

Never heard about it, haven't kept up much with cricket.
I don't know though, I don't like all these changes in cricket. I'm an old school guy, I was okay with T20s because the game was evolving and that seemed like the only way to keep the audience entertained, while keepin the traditional tests and ODIs.
I feel like it's just a matter of time before test times are reduced before they are fully scrapped. I personally don't like the T20 slugfest, it's entertaining sure but changed the game for the worse.

    Preach to the choir bro...

I blame the fast paced mentality of society for the reduced interest in international test match cricket personally, though to its own credit it is trying to mix things up with the day/night format and changes to some of the rules etc...

Then again who has 5 str8 days to take off to go watch the cricket?? Not alot of us, that's for sure...

I get the buzz of T20 totally. Only people who wouldn't like it are old school puritans, stuck in their ways but even a number of them are beginning to come around to the new way of things.

Personally hope Test matches do not get scrapped. In some countries they are a large of the social fabric. Couldn't imagine a boxing day holiday over here without test match cricket...

Guys it was a shambles today, the game had to be cancelled due to wet out field, i was hoping the umpires waited a bit longer to dry the field so the game could get complete this is not good for cricket to break the USA market of entertainment.
