Been following Army-Navy all my life & I'm pretty old now. Anything can happen.
First football player I ever admired was Arnold Galiffa who led Army to two top
5 finishes in 48 & 49. Army was 17-0 with only one tie it was against Navy in 48,
Army was 8-0 ranked 4th in the nation & Navy was an 0-8 winless team. Final score
21-21 tie.
This year Navy was ranked as high as 17th but lost Will Werth in the Temple game
after Worth probably had as terrific a season up tp that point at QB as any Navy
QB including George Welsh or Tom Forrestall All-Americans in the 50's. He was a far better
passer & as good a runner as Reynolds who did get some recognition last year.
Will Wirth will not be in the lineup and Army isn't that bad this year, I'm taking Army +7!
The difference this year will be army defense compared to navy defense. Army is very good defensively, navy is not very good and navy has given up a ton of big plays. Although, this is somewhat neutralized because both teams run the same offense. I think army can pop a few big pass plays that in years past they could never hit.
I always take Army. Just mad I didn't jump on them when I saw it was +13, I believe. Before the injuries. I was just waiting, and now it keeps going down. Army finally wins again.
