They never belonged. They should've lost the game to NC State. Glad they're out. More deserving teams out there.

Believe it or not, this loss becomes almost meaningless if Clemson wins out, except for maybe knocking them down to the 4-seed. No different than Ohio State's loss to Penn State.

2 bad penalties on clemson...but that fumble returned for TD was too close to overturn to call a clemson TD

Penn State is ranked 10th with just two losses coming against Michigan and Pitt. Pitt has 4 losses. I believe they will will drop to 6 or 7, moving Ohio State into the 4 spot and Louisville 5.

Clemson can't be losing at home especially when they're 21.5 point favorites. It just goes to show that the ACC is not as strong of a conference as people think they are.

? Clemson losing at home to Pittsburg is comparable to Ohio state losing AT penn state ?

Exact same thing because both Ohio State and Clemson would be one-loss conference champions if they win out. SEC champ. Big Ten champ and ACC champ will fill 3 of the Playoff spots as long as none have more than one loss.

Definitely IN if Clemson wins out. Remember they are still ahead of Louisville because of the head-to-head win (Although Louisville would probably be a slight favorite vs. Clemson on neutral field).

Doesn't change the fact that they still win ACC by winning out.

This team is overrated. Horrible defense. Even if they are to slip into the 4 spot and face Bama in the playoffs, it would be a blowout win for Bama.

    Rough day for the ACC

What this does do...very subtly...is work Oklahoma back in the mix. Everyone just assumes the Big 12 is done but if a few more shoes drop they are right back in it

Opens up a lot of doors to those in the Top 7 now. 'Lou can't be excited though. They lost to Clemson who now lost to a Pitt team at home.

Lets see how U-Dub holds up now and Michigan with Iowa

ZERO chance Big 12 champ gets in over one-loss Clemson.

Thus the reason I said other shoes drop. Not unrealistic they get in over Louisville if Louisville doesn't win the ACC

If Michigan only loss was to Ohio State would Clemson beat them out?

ACC may not be great, but still much better than both Big 12 and Pac-12. Clemson could fall to 7 this week, but they will be back in top 4 if they win out.

Was thinking the same. What if Michigan loses at OSU in overtime or by 3 points? They can get 4 seed.

Washington still has tough games left as well.

The big loser today was Auburn.

We need a 64 team playoff.
