He knowingly allowed numerous children to be abused, effectively ruining their childhood and most likely their ability to be fully functional and adjusted adults in society. He should be remembered as a weak man who doesn't deserve any compassion since he showed none at all to the children abused under his long regime.

Paterno felt Sandusky leaving would hurt his chances of winning games, and forget about turning him in, he didn't even do anything himself to stop the child molestation. He was fine with it.

Always felt, when this first broke years back, Pedo State football program should have been given the Death Penalty. That this program didn't get the DP when programs like SMU did is an absolute disgrace.
