    Anyone here count cards?

I'm looking to find more info on the Zen Count or something powerful for single deck games that allow wonging in and out.

    several problems with this.

    1. mid-shoe entry in single deck. good luck finding it.
    2. back count so you can jump in and play 1 hand?
    3. more heat on single deck.

Bumping an old thread in case anyone is looking for advice or some coaching. Kaabee has it right. The more advanced counts are great, but they are just that - more difficult and generally unnecessary. Sounds like you have a foundation in counting already. To begin to master what you need to accomplish at single deck, make sure you have the right basic strategy for single deck. With hi-lo and the illustrious 18 indices, you'll do great. Unfortunately there aren't many 3:2 single deck games left, and the ones that exist are the sweatiest games around. The El Cortez in Vegas backs off $5-$20 counters every day. The people they're backing off are no geniuses either. They may be people sitting down at a BJ table for the first time with little practice.

Instead of extending yourself trying a new count, learn the Illustrious 18 for hi-lo. If you find good 3:2 single deck games outside of the El Cortez, please post it here!
